The extended battery is illegal in the UK so the fly more combo still comes with a standard battery. I went with the 4 Pro with the standard remote to make the most of the 2000 nits screen of my iPhone 15 Pro and the remote keeps the phone charged :) - it's also less to carry on trips abroad. I may invest in an extra battery, but right now, charging for 30 min from a power bank after a 20+ minute flight is acceptable.
I really like this video. Thanks! I am considering saving the $200 and getting the base controller... .even though I plan to use the drone fairly often. My understanding: 1. For a similar price point for the "package", I could get a Air 3 with the base controller. Better drone, similar price. Not sure I would get the Air 3, but it does make me thing about just how much more the upgraded controller is. 2. The NEW version of the base controller is better than the one in this video (I think). I saw another RUclips video where the presenter was holding the controller by the phone in the controller mount and was shaking it. No movement. 3. My understanding is that the base controller has more/better live stream options... direct to RUclips. Would love to live stream a sporting event for example (beginning of a 5K race, for example). 4. Packing the controller for travel may be easier without worrying about the screen getting scratched. Use cases like riding a bike or hiking or international for example, where the controller will probably be thrown into a backpack. I do think the weight is similar. Would love to get a weight difference if anyone has that. 5. I use "Main Cabin 1" when flying with Delta Airlines. I generally cannot justify the incremental cost of "Business Class". I would rather travel twice in Main Cabin 1 v. travel once with Business Class. Does anyone reading this have experiences with the base controller?

Great explanations. I do have an important question which I have not seen discussed as what best setting (Brake or By Pass) to use in Obstacle Avoidance Action when you lose connection & the drone is return home automatically . For example, if my RTH height is set to 200ft, then i lose connection behind a 250ft high building, and my setting is Brake in Obstacle Avoidance Action, my assumption is that my drone will just hover at 200ft behind the bldg and the drone will never return back home. If my setting is set to By Pass in Obstacle Avoidance Action instead, will my drone fly around the bldg at 200ft until it sees or makes connection with my RC? Can you please comment on this so I know what setting to use in Obstacle Avoidance Action when I lose connection. Not sure if someone has already tested this but i appreciate your comment on my question. Thanks so much.
You didn’t ask for mine, but I would say yes. Having 2 customizable function buttons on the back and 2 separate scroll wheels for zoom and gimble tilt is a game changer in itself.

Do you notice that there’s a creaking sound when the body is squeezed a little? I think you’re right that DJI tried to pack too much into such a small body?
I'm just wondering with the extra heavy battery which makes the drone weigh over 249g do you technically have to register it now and then possibly do other things just for the couple extra grams that it now gets? Or can you kind of get by because no one is really going to go and grab your drone and actually weigh it to see if its actually more than 249gs?
