- DJI Mini 4 Pro is here - bottom line its a big increase in camera quality. It's nearly identical to the Air 3's sensor now. Compared to the Mini 3 Pro, it is a clear step up.
It also has omni-directional obstacle avoidance
Night Mode is now added for low-light video
You can see a map marker for yourself on the live view from the drone
New Smart Remote (DJI RC 2) is faster to start up and brighter
Almost everything else is the same.
So if picture quality ISNT your concern, now is a great time to get a used Mini 3 Pro.
From the dynamic range, nicer exposure balancing, richer color in highlights and vibrance in the default picture profile. I think it is worth the money.
This drone easily clear pro quality, you can make money with this drone.

dude this is a random comment at best, but your content is one of the few channels that I dont have to FF thru the first 1-3 minutes to get to info that relevant. Sooo many channels push content where the first 20% of vid is pure fluff & waste viewers time begging for subs/likes etc. it gets soo old scrubbing thru vids trying to find the 90 sec of viable info, F***ing thank you for getting straight to the point ✅

I rarely, if ever, gush about a RUclipsr's presentation, but as a Canuck and a drone op... dude, you ROCK. Seriously, I watch so many of these drone videos and yours are consistently the funniest, most useful, most direct with the most info in the shortest time and with the least faffing around of anyone. I STILL giggle every year at the iDrone bit in your comparison vids. :)
You also seem to be aware that not everyone is or wants to be a pro drone op and don't constantly judge from that perspective or forget we exist. It's so refreshing to see.

Your my man for drone reviews ,love the channel...I have the Mini3 Pro ..Not sure if I ll upgrade soon but I know I will eventually -I wasn't sure about the sensor but I see the difference in your video and I like that it has side sensors too..I do local travel videos ,car videos..etc but if Im at a trail I can feel more confident using the drone around the trees etc ..nice the batteries are the same..Im so tired of buy ND filters ...grrr Of course you need them for the 4 ..lol.. Love the channel my man !

Try lowering sharpening and noise reduction to -2 (minimum). That got rid entirely of the smearing, grain and smudges in shadows and also improved actual detail and texture and makes the footage basically look like from a way more expensive DSLM or cinema camera even.
yea i found that after shooting on 0 on sharpness for like 5 months...looks more real to life at -2 when the pixels aren't over tight looking. i remember when the mini 3p never had that option to reduce noise and sharpening until that firmware release in spring
You want to shoot as "flat" as possible. Look at full legit cinema cameras. What comes out looks awful, but that's so there's the maximum amount of latitude for adjustment in post. You don't want highlights nor colours clipping. The SOOC footage from the 3 looked WAY better from and editing perspective.

DJI have since improved the software processing on the 4..
@@GetUrOwnHandle saw Philip bloom do a video on this very subject…The 4 sharpening isnt as extreme as the 3 so can get away with just -1, but still best to put it in -2 so it isnt baked into the footage and more hassle to remove if u dont like it. He was the one that got dji to add the reduction option in the 3
@@denaco yeah I saw that now too. DJI are getting better with their image processing. The differences are less extreme than on the M3P. But yes the less processing, the better the details. He also pushed them to bring back tripod mode.. Excellent man!

We ended up getting two. Mini 2 SE and now this guy. Nuts what a year and a bit would do
And a third Mavic 3, I can't believe they are banging them out THIS FAST like what is the long term plan. Meanwhile a company like Canon is still selling a 2016 5D Mark IV at full price lol

@@QuickAssTutorials oh yeah right! the "Mavic 3 pro"... Mavic 3 is gone now
also Autel and others have fallen so far behind they all want to serve the "enterprise" market (and rumors say they are all afraid of impending increasing regulations)... I mean the Nano was pretty special I still shoot with it but the 3 pro was just that much better at the time.
DJI has done fairly well with innovation for a barely competition market.
Just got the mini 4 pro, never had a drone in my life, never thought about making professional or good looking videos ever before, but just going to have fun and see what happens

good stuff, I was waiting for this release to replace my lost Mavic 2 pro (been using my old mavic 1 pro and Dji FPV to fill up the gap meanwhile.. it hurts) and this mini 4 pro looks pretty much like everything I need.. because while I could justify buying a mavic pro 3 since I'm working with it, the price tag is way too inflated imo and not really something my clients would pay prenium for
So yeah can't wait to get my hands on it (also using those tiny drones will help when I'm already carrying a ton of gear for my shoots)

Great video, Alex. I sold my Mini 3 Pro a few months ago in preparation for the 4 Pro. I am really torn between the Air 3 and the 4 Pro. I am glad to see there is an improvement in the 4 Pros image. I have the Mavic 3 and never use the tele lens, but the 70mm on the Air 3 actually looks useful.
I always like seeing the footage from the valley. Maybe one day you can share your golden hour saguaro location. Those shots are great.
I mean the 70mm x3 Zoom is a nice touch but....
honestly I'd enjoy the 9:16 vertical shooting more- FAR more useful for social media and it just does it.
plus you can put it in your pocket. I was hiking with no bags- just a mini 3 pro, my phone and an RC-N1 in my sweater no problem 👍 went and shot the greatest droneie in the most hidden spot that I've ever done all because of the "camera I had carried on me"

@@Matanumi I don’t really shoot vertical video (I prefer to crop so I have options later) but that small form factor is very nice to have. I have to cart around giant drone cases for work and I really hate that part.

I'm about to pull the trigger on that 4 pro, but I have ONE crucial question : Would you still prefer the newer RC2 over the "no screen" controller if instead of a phone, you'd put a 7' tablet ?
The newer has "range" and ease of use.
The former with a tablet has better visibility and you can have people picking over your shoulder in cases of "inspections" for instances...
I'm torn... send help.
