28 Days later was like that. Mainland England was the only place infected by the rage virus...of course Hollywood could leave it alone and made 28 weeks later in which it gets onto the mainland...of course they would. Can’t have a positive ending to a “zombie” flick.

I don't know, if I can recommend the series, because sometimes there can be stupid decisions and stupid plot moments, and also you'll crave the soundtrack, which is not released (I hope yet)... but in "The Rain", a biological weapon wipes the human race from Scandinavia - South Sweden and the entirety of Denmark.

One of the real dangers of fracking that most have ignored at least here in the US is the destabilization of the Earth's crust causing nearby communities to experience massive sinkholes that just randomly appear within 1 mile of nearby fracking sites.
it's not like that's new, look at all the mining towns poisoned by heavy metal extraction, kills the property value, company buys the whole town. What anaconda copper did to Butte, America was fucking insidious.
Ayy you finally looked into it, I feel like the oily stuff is actually sap, a fair few Australian trees have sap that looks like that and it could fit with the 'nature's revenge' theme, that it is a viral curse from some gaian spirit angered by the fracking. This would also explain why the clevermen were so useful to the indigenous communities, as they knew through folklore about the plague.

@Ivan Hewitt I mean, if you wanna be real specific about things. But it’s Film Comics Explained, chances are the focus wouldn't be on the books but the other media instead. Scans of text from books don't translate as well to a video as a show or comic anyway, just like the I Am Legend video didn't focus on the book but still mentioned it.

I'm glad you posted this. One of the most underrated zombie films of a generation. If you were looking for a gorefest, you were out of luck. But if you were looking for a deep and thought provoking story, this was a winner. I thoroughly enjoyed this title, to the tune of twice!

Sad reality is that spike contraption would likely fail if you did not put it in the right place. A single sharp spike is usual not enough just once. Our flesh is just too malleable. You would likely end up suffering horribly, maybe paralyze yourself.

We need more Australian zombie apocalypse movies. The outback is a brilliant but there are so many more amazing locations our country has to offer. I also think the fact that guns aren't so freely available here means that combat would be much more dramatic and meaningful.

1. No real urgency when bitten or fear of it.
2. Infected have a thick hard shell over their mouths, so how exactly do they bite?
