I've never seen this before. Look how fast he closes up on Prost into the Fogarty Esses (1:10). Went from nowhere to right on his gearbox

and a year before (92) some other cars already had semi automatic shifting and active suspensions, but Senna kept sticking to manual shifting against Mansell and the rest like fckn beast 😂 and he even finished the season at p4 in the driver standings hahaha

Senna had no choice to use the manual gearbox at the beginning of the 92 season as the MP4/7 with the semi-auto box wasn't ready until 3 races in at Brazil, which he used for the rest of the season. McLaren also had active suspension for years before Williams perfected it in late 91/early 92. McLaren also had traction control in 92.
Senna finished P4 in the 1992 standings, behind Schumacher in a Benetton with an underpowered Ford V8 and no semi-auto box, active suspension, traction control, or ABS etc (although Senna did have 3 more retirements).
Not belittling Senna's ability or this lap, both of which were incredible, but let's not forget that Senna drove cars with numerous technological advantages compared to the majority of his competitors.
