Being a split window Vw bus pilot that longs for the open road , watching the scenic miles thru Lenny’s split front glass and your lovely wife’s feet up on the dash, you make us feel like we’re right there with you .

Mine felt like I was piloting a zeppelin. On windy days leaning forward with both hands at 12 o'clock on the wheel, arms straight was the automatic sidewind compensator. Wind blows car out from under you, bodyweight and straight arms pivoting from the waist turned into the wind automatically.

Kind of hard on my eyes right now because watching the highway through the windshield and the wife leaning back relaxing in the copilot's seat brought back some of the fondest memories I've ever had in my life. We used to do that in an old Allegro motor home we fixed up and drove a lot. Sadly, today, twenty years ago, she went home to be with the Lord and my world hasn't been much fun since. You really don't know until things change like that just what really living is all about. Scott and his wife have found that magic button that makes moments like this irreplaceable.

For example, put on gloves so that your skin of your hands is not always in contact with grease, diesel oil and other harmful products. Put on safety shoes, feet are better when you can walk on them! One thing that also worries me is the different components for the brakes; especially the "jaws", in France in those years, they contained asbestos...it's better not to breathe the dust....

I don't know anything, but that gas thing mixed into the exhaust.
Seems to make your bus fast, it in think works like a turbo with no moving parts guessing.
Good thing , you had the wife keep your speed down.😇

While I will admit I appreciate the "road time", as one who has been on many of those trails too. I really want that gritty engine time! Oh, 75mph is fast for a old rv, or bus. They don't like it much for MPG. I like the hiway miles, but prefer the gears & grit! Guess the hiway miles are better to those who haven't seen it themselves. A time in my life I'll never forget! Nothing like the comfy bed of home!

17:35 Another surprising thing is that “Detroit Diesel” is called that way, because Rudolf Christian Karl Diesel himself was more of a 4-stroke fan. :-) His first engine was a 4-stroke.

Given the amount of trouble i have seen you have getting the lug nuts on an off some of these buses over a series of your videos, why don't you use some sort of anti seize compound on the nuts an studs or on most things like booster backet bolts etc im sure u know what i mean i understand that it would possibly be a extra cost to you but if these guys are repeat customers it would save you both time an money great work by the way👍

I learned the hard way that never seize on wheel studs will make them to snap due to reduced torque causing the stud's tensile strength being exceeded. There is such a thing as too tight.

What role does Mrs. BGM play while you are working, I mean "playing fixit" with the buses? I"d like to see you do a vidya "An ode to Mrs. BGM" because you're obviously a team and she's your first mate on these fixin cruises. Great entertainment, better than TV.
