I’ve always wondered why the induction is so long for some moms. I’ve been induced twice and natural progression twice. But my labors have never been longer than 5 hours. I genuinely feel so bad for moms who have 24-48 hours of labor 😢. I know how exhausting it is. Even discouraging at times.
Raising a child with Down syndrome comes with its unique challenges and incredible moments. Your love, patience, and dedication are making a profound difference in your child's life every day. Celebrate each milestone, no matter how small, and know that your unwavering support is shaping a beautiful journey filled with love, joy, and remarkable achievements. You're doing an amazing job, and your child is lucky to have such a caring and devoted parent like you.
Your prayer contractions to your labor is called Braxton Hicks the ones that lasted all week they're the ones that prepare your body for labor from which contractions you are feeling right now
I'm due in about 4 weeks and am terribly! Especially for the epidural. Honestly how bad was it lol please be honest lol. I've heard it hurts so bad and the pressure is insane. I'm so scared. Congrats by the way!!!!
Thank you!!! And congrats to you! YOU GOT THIS! I honestly was really nervous too but we are built for giving birth. For me the epidural helped A LOT and it made such a difference! My contractions were really bad with the pitocin too right before I got it. But there is a break you get in between contractions so it’s not constant pain 24/7! But moving positions, deep breathing, and labor combs helped me prior to the epidural. Best of luck to you and I hope everything goes smoothly!!!!
Awe good luck! Is it your first? For me, I didn’t have epidural at all for all 4 of my kids. I’m having my 5th in April. I’m not against epidural at all. I’m one of those people who will give it my all. And if I need the epidural, I’ll get it haha. I think moms should just do what they’re comfortable with ❤. Everyone is different. And my best advice after this many kids is, staying as calm as possible is the best thing! Remember to breathe. Our bodies are made for birth. Stay calm and just remind yourself that this isn’t so much pain and suffering. But you bringing your baby into this world. You got this ❤
Also! I found that my labors progressed very quickly from being active during labor. I used the ball, and walked around as much as I could before I had to push.
My 2nd was just about 12l s he was 11lbs 12oz and 23 and half inches long mind you I had to be induced at 39weeks due to pre-eclampsia he would've been 14blbs if I didn't get induced my 3rd was a 10 pounder lol
All my babies were 8 pounds plus, so I know it can be intimidating hearing that for your first haha. I didn’t even ask what they thought for my first. I didn’t want to scare myself haha. She was 8 pounds and 4 ounces.

Can you please share the name of the app you used to track your contractions
It was just called "Contraction Timer" in the App Store! It has a red background with an EKG symbol on it!
Congratulations!
Thank you!!!!
