I am in tears of joy for you guys! I have two daughters, one now in college (2nd year) and one that just turned 14 on May 28th and you just have no idea of the amount of love and joy that has now entered your life! I am so happy and excited for you both, know 1st hand all that you have to come in your lives! Their is just nothing like parenthood. It is the most amazing gift you will ever have. Right here. Right now. You have been blessed beyond measure. Congratulations!!! He is just absolutely so beautiful!! Soak it all in. They change and grow so much every day. God bless your darling little family! Congratulations to you both! I remember so clearly giving birth to my first, a son also. He's now 18 - it went so fast! It was so surreal, and looking at him also didn't even seem real, but it was! Motherhood had been the greatest joy of my life! This little boy is so fortunate to have both of you, and so much love!

Ah, this brought me back to the days I brought all four of my babies home. Such a surreal, blissful feeling. Enjoy each and every second. It goes by unbelievably fast. Congratulations! He is beautiful! Loving watching this with my 2 year old fast asleep on me and my unborn baby wiggling away ❤️ So emotional!
Also, the midwife is mistaken, he absolutely can see you Gemma; babies can see human faces really well, they're designed to find and focus on human faces which is why he is looking at you so intently when you feed him. It is true they don't see much else and shapes are hard for them to make out (so they don't see where one object ends and another begins easily) but he'll love really sharp, contrasting colours, they're easier for him to see and bright lights he can see really well too. And he definitely knows you're his Mummy because he can recognise your scent and your voice and he will be able to recognise Jamie's voice too. Babies are amazing and can do so much more than we give them credit for a lot of the time ❤️
Enjoy every second, my babies are 17 and 23 now. We used to cal them our little frogs with their legs curled up in their baby grows. ❤️ You are going to be just the best, most loving parents! Congratulations, you both so thoroughly deserved it. Xxx

This is so beautiful! bringing back very fond memories of having my son and having a weeks stay in hospital in your own little perfect bubble. I hope you are settling into home life....I remember feeling like it was extremely daunting all of a sudden being home and somehow all on your own after having nurses and staff on hand. Enjoy every second 😊

Oh not sure if you know (only because I didn't when I had my 1st) .. It's highly recommended to have carrier bar of the car seat up (for crashing purposes, protects baby)

You really do just blink, it flies by so so quickly, even when you treasure every second and take a million photos you'll look back on these first few weeks as such a blur!
