ANKER EverFrost 30 | Unboxing

I backed this project earlier in the year on Kickstarter. My Alpicool has served me very well over the years but this was something I was interested in. I was particularly interested in the removable/rechargeable batteries. One battery can get me 42 hrs, two batteries longer than the weekend.....and rechargeable by solar panel. This is what I needed to extend my time and limit all of the extra power sources needed to keep items cool. So.....we are going to give it a run and see how it does.

Thanks for the unboxing. Especially helpful that you said 4runner because that’s the vehicle I have (5th gen). You still use this? Any problems? I currently have a Yeti Tundra 35 but after packing with ice, it doesn’t leave a lot of room for other things. I’d go Anker Everfrost 40 but that seems too big for the back of the 4runner?

Yeah still have. I wouldnt go larger if youre just using main rear cargo area in 5th gen. It’s a solid fridge in my current experience.

What’s your use case? RV’ing, Overlanding? I live in hot-ass Florida and a basic Igloo cooler with wheels has served me well. Fishing, tailgating, beach…good enough!

Overlanding. Weekend trips. I’ve got a 100watt foldable solar panel and it keeps it topped off no problem. For sure with the igloo cooler, I’m limited with space so smaller and no need for ice really helps. Plus…I like gadgets 🤷‍♂️

I ended buying the Everfrost 30 over the weekend. I bought an extra battery too. Can't wait to get it. Thanks again for your review, it helped me make a decision.
