You can only forgive them so many times, otherwise your a fool. I've went against my gut on people just be taken a fool once again. Thinking people will change. That's the optimistic part of me though, always tries to look for the best in people and sometimes its never truly there to begin with. We are quiet, but we see it all and think about it, and think about it.It's funny because I seen the old patterns that lead to me cutting someone off in the first place and let it play through just to confirm it. I already know your playbook. I'm a people watcher, great listener too. You learn from those moments, and it prevents future occurrences. You see red flags, don't brush them off, prepare yourself for how you are going to deal with the situation.

Me being an introvert let me tell you the worst thing When you are trying to tell someone how you feel or why you are mad at them because you care about them enough to tell them and then they don't understand or change what you said completely and that's when our rage comes out sometimes

Once I was angry at my siblings and rather than confronting them I wrote down a list of things that bothered me and got me angry, but they barely read it, saying I was being immature or that it was stupid reasons, while I spent to many time making it, thinking about everything that bothered me so we could understand each other (because I can’t do it vocally, I don’t have time to think and answer in a way that will make them listen to me) and work on it

Introverts do some of these things all the time even if we're not mad. I won't answer the phone unless I was expecting a call or I know it's important. I don't want help because I don't want to interact socially, it's draining as hell. Etc.

Oh my Word I was begging to think I'm alone. Everyone around me just wants to yap and yap, about random non important things, especially over a phone, and since I keep evading that, I'm always the odd one, described as cold, heartless and emotionless. I use texts, mails and even that in a limited amount.

Exactly, except that i get anxious with phone calls, and I sometimes ignore texts. It's not like I'm mad at you or anything, I just don't want to talk in general.

The replies to this comment is honestly depressing. Im an introvert and I remember this was how I behaved when I was a kid. It's just unhealthy and pathetic to hold on grudges for dear freaking life. It's better to brush it off otherwise all you could be thinking about is your hate for people. Seriously it happens. It's a terrible feeling. And half the time it's some guy who just acts like an idiot and has done nothing to you personally.
So true. Most introvert are very prone to nature. I love animals/pet/nature/river/mountain and etc. Whatever that make me calm in my solitude state or hang out with a group of friend that have same frequency energy level with me.
I'm an introvert and yeah, I can totally relate to all of these things. Especially the one about randomly blowing up. My dad is always a complete and total jerk to our family. Especially my mom. He'll start arguments out of nothing and then play the victim. He likes to make his whole family miserable every time we go anywhere together. He sits in his room all day sleeping and complains when he has to go to work. He never helps my mom with anything and she is constantly overwhelmed and stressed out. He fake apologises to everyone and then restarts the argument an hour later. He often calls me lazy because I'm fat, even though he is easily the laziest person in the house. I usually just shrug off the comments, ignore him, or bottle up my feelings, but this time was just at my limit. He had come downstairs after some big fight with my mom after she had simply asked him to help her out around the house more. He came downstairs and started listing off excuses and saying that "The kids are lazy and never leave the couch, so why are you mad at me?" I piped up for once (mistake), saying that I was joining marching band that coming school year. Now, anyone who does marching band know that It's no small feat, and I was really excited to be getting more exercise. He immediately shot me down, saying that he had known people in marching band when he was a kid and they were all fat and lazy and that they never did anything. That actually really hurt because I was really looking forward to it. I ran upstairs literally on the verge of tears. My mom came up a little later after being furiously yelled at and tried to comfort me. My dad came in a little later and after "apologizing" said that my mom always jumped to my side. I was just done. I screamed at the top my lungs for him to shut up and get out of my room. He looked shocked and slammed the door on his way out. I burst into tears. I felt bad afterwards for yelling, but it did feel really good to let it out for once.
Holy crap, that comment was scary. Everything you said about your dad is exactly like my dad. Every bit of it, being like that, playing the victim, fake apologizing, everything. I dont know if it's the same with you, but my dad is also really controlling, especially regarding money, because "he's the one who goes to work and earns the money" when he wont even allow my 18 year old, senior-in-highschool brother to get a job solely out of his own want for control. He wont even give my mom money to pay off her credit card debt on cards that he was the one to use all the money from. She has to smuggle money from him.

My dad isn't really that controlling, but he always says that he "deserves to be respected" even though he hasn't earned one bit of it. He mostly just sits in his bed all day when he's not at work and he does sometimes spend money without my mom's consent. Regardless though, I really am sorry that you have to experience that as well. It's terrible to have to live with someone like that.
@@pixelparasite829 My dad also says that. And dont worry about it. It's not fun, but if there's one thing I know about myself it's that I am productively aggressive. The more he tells me I can't do something I want to do, the more driven I am to do it successfully, just to spite him. Honestly though, I'm extremely anti-compassionate to people I dont like, it's weird to me that he doesn't even realize that I simply would not care if he died. I feel no remorse when he gets hurt, heck, I wouldn't even feel bad for tripping him down the stairs, I just wouldn't do it so as not to get in trouble. It just baffles me how much he honestly thinks that he isn't doing anything wrong.
Can relate my biological father was exactly the same in fact he was a controller, and he always sought to manipulate the situation so that it seemed that he was the good guy and us (this affected my whole family obviously) the bad guys, He always said that we never did anything and that we would not achieve anything in life and other things, but luckily for me he is dead and my mother married again and my stepdad is nice and clearly after the hell she went through specifically, it was perfect
Fr, I can relate. My dad came up to my room and "apologized" while patting on my head. I whacked his hands away because I hated his tactics of apologizing so much, like wtf. I was mad bc before, he yelled at me saying I didn't have any rights to speak back to him. I only raised my voice a little bit saying "we have our own rights" and he got all cranky.

I will likely disconnect my telephone service tonight. Nobody knows me to call me. I have not called anyone in years. I know nobody. I disconnected the cellular years ago and do not miss it. It is time to stop wasting money on a landline I never use also.

One time I broke my collar bone at school and I decided to take myself to the office instead of telling anyone I'm in deep pain. I had to hold my bag with the other arm. Everyone thought I was faking as I sat helplessly on the floor in agony so much so that one person through an NFL ball at my head.

Man, I do most of this stuff even when I’m not pissed at anyone. Especially the pet thing. Playing with animals is so much simpler than dealing with humans, and much more rewarding.
@@MrSurabane I don't mind entertaining children, it just depends on energy levels; if they are wound up and I'm not matching their level, I generally try to tag out of the situation or find a way of getting them to settle down (books or TV). To be fair, avoiding kids isn't exclusively an introvert or male strategy. That's something everybody does at some point, for one reason or another.
If its a stranger asking, I make up a story, about how my mother was just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, my wife left me for my BFF, and my father just came out as Gay. shuts them up real fast!
I could never stand it, and it took me until now to realize it was an introvert thing. When I'm not okay, I would much rather just have space and time alone. So when somebody insists on figuring out what's wrong with me, it almost feels like they're forcing their way into my head. It always seems like they're prioritizing their curiosity over my comfort.
The only things that I don’t relate to in the list are “they stop answering your calls” because I always avoid calls, and “they act like everything is fine”. When I get mad at someone I don’t tell them, but I don’t smile through it either. I just answer in a very stern tone until they catch on
When I’m super mad I’ll touch something of yours, for example a common thing i do is put dirt in your pillow case Edit: I do this when I am not allowed to express my emotions- usually happens with my parents who think everything i say is rude and i must just stfu

That or they are being rude for not knowing you. Unless they don't know you well. Either way it's crucial to clarify this. I've got standard warnings for new relationships. One of them is "Please be prepared for irregular replies. When I answer, I want to do it properly, so I'll let it sit till I'm truly ready to dedicate myself to it. Oh, and I dislike calls. Please text me". 😂
People think us introverts are very diligent students and always listening to instructions, when in reality we are zoned out and have unfocused eyes staring at the board. Then when it’s time to work I never know what to do, and I have nobody to ask what we are doing. Has anybody else had this problem? 😁
Ummm.... I'm the introvert and I do all of these things just because... I'm not angry I just don't like people XD Edit: Not all of these I do, it is most of them and I just A) Don't like people to help me cause I want to do it on my own. B) I don't like calling, it is so much easier to text. C) I don't like to talk to people a lot, I like a lot of downtime. D) I live inside of my head and don't really like sentences cause of fear of messing up my sentence and making me sound dumb E) I LOVE MY FRIENDS! I would do anything for them but when I'm mad i like to bottle it up and then I release it in a large manner... but then apologize if I blew up my friend or someone I like/don't want to upset. Okay, I'm done :)

Asking an introvert if they're mad at you is a good tactic, but takes some know-how. It's a bit like asking sexual consent actually, only instead of ambiguity meaning No, ambiguity means Yes. Example: "Are you okay?" "I'm fine" "Okay...we both know that's not true. Is it something I did?" >Silence means Yes >Yes means Yes >Sarcastic no means Yes >No means No

Well as an introvert I am usually fine when you apologize honestly.. there might be 4 Reactions of mine 1. I'll forgive you that moment you apologized, because whatever it was wasn't that bad and i might also feel bad for yelling at you just because you were the one to reach my limit.. 2. I'll tell you to give me time.. in that case please just give me time, don't make any stupid actions to catch my intention, that might just piss me of even more, but just looking for contact or inviting me will probably be okay, so basically during that time i just want you to act normal and yeah show that you are really sorry but please don't pressure me to finally forgive you or see that as an 'everything is fine' no, i need my time and please let me have it.. I'll reach out to you if i had enough time and tell you either why i don't want to have to do anything with you anymore (please try to accept, it's a long thought through decision) or I'll tell you everything is fine and that I forgive you 3. I'll tell you that an apology isn't enough or that I won't be able to forgive you. In that case just leave me alone, don't make anything stupid and you'll probably will never hear of me again, except maybe after a long time that I'll reach out to you and ask you again about that situation 4. I'll tell you everything is fine and you didn't had to apologize.. in thatcase run, i'm probably not polite but planning revenge. So basically just show that you are really sorry also after i forgave you (don't repeat your action..), apologize and give me time

Seriously speaking, this is true. When I'm really pissed -- especially at a coworker or my boss -- then I have to isolate myself. I can't be going to jail because I just snapped and went postal.
Extroverts too can be dangerous. They are very emotive so they can just hurt you emotionally and physically and they're too out of control. Introverted people's outbursts are dangerous and I'm saying this as an introvert myself but we have more self-control and self-awareness over our emotions so we don't usually go to physical agression or emotional manipulation unless very agressive (of course we can't control outbursts, but we are naturally more reserved on that type of thing).

Maybe because im too shy or felt inappropriate to accept the offering.If im really craving for that food, i will go buy it for myself.
Actually I just say that so they don’t talk to me because in my case if I don’t talk to anyone the more they’d talk to me that’s why before I do literally anything I look at them and say hi to make clear to shut up and mind your own business
actually, there's something I need to add as an introvert, when I get mad ,I unintentionally stop talking with the person , but there's something that may really bother me , which is when that person keeps talking & talking despite me not responding or ignoring them ,like for 30 min straight, that really gets me angry anyway, actually, my mom keep doing that again & again , she never gives up , & keep chatting & asking about random stuff as if the conversation was nrml ,like literally, even when I say I'm busy , or whatever excuse ,she just doesn't leave !! I have not felt emotions towards a human since 8 August 2000. I do not know anybody. Thus, it is very difficult for anybody to stimulate an emotional response in me. Strangers can not stimulate emotions, generally, in others.
The most unbearable thing I deal with as an introvert is when I speak for the first time in a conversation(I RARELY talk anyways) and my friends interrupt me to tell a joke about me and how I should be more extroverted or some shit. It gets me so mad that I just stop talking and walk away. Like, I'm NOTHING but nice to you, I NEVER interrupt you.... Why? Just WHY? If I talk in a conversation, then it's probably something MEANINGFUL because I RARELY EVER TALK. I'm seriously getting mad just typing this. ITS INFURIATING But I never say anything about it because I have HORRIBLE social anxiety and I don't want to hurt their feelings, even though I am 1000000 times more hurt than they could be if I confronted them.

I'm an introvert, and a few years ago I had an epiphany at work. I had always thought that small talk with coworkers was time wasted, until one day I saw a coworker have a conversation with another coworker about a big error that coworker had made. The conversation went surprisingly well. It was then that I realized that if you don't make a point of talking about the small stuff (friends, family, pets, vacations, etc), then discussions about the hard stuff (errors someone made) might be almost impossible. So even if it takes you out of your comfort zone, try to take a modest interest in your coworkers. One day you might need their help, and it will be easier to ask for it if you've laid that friendship foundation.

This video isn't accurate. No one stay in a house on fire and say it's fine. No one has to go in a ambulance to a hospital over a spranged ankle. So that makes it not accurate at all.
I feel like being an introvert makes really simple tasks, way harder. Like in class, whenever I have question and my friend is sat beside me, I’d ask them. When they don’t know the answer, they tell me to ask the teacher, now I know this is incredibly simple but for me that’s very hard. The fact that I have to raise my hand, so then everyone else will notice I have a question, then wait for the teacher to notice I’ve raised my hand, and in the worst of cases the teacher might not notice or even ignore me, have to wait for the teacher to respond to me or come near me, ans then ahve to ask the actual question and wait for a good enough answer for me to understand. That’s a lot of social interaction, so I’ll take my book or some notes and I’ll save myself 10 minutes or more of social interaction.

That's the optimistic part of me though, always tries to look for the best in people and sometimes its never truly there to begin with. We are quiet, but we see it all and think about it, and think about it.It's funny because I seen the old patterns that lead to me cutting someone off in the first place and let it play through just to confirm it. I already know your playbook. I'm a people watcher, great listener too. You learn from those moments, and it prevents future occurrences. You see red flags, don't brush them off, prepare yourself for how you are going to deal with the situation.

Once I was angry at my siblings and rather than confronting them I wrote down a list of things that bothered me and got me angry, but they barely read it, saying I was being immature or that it was stupid reasons, while I spent to many time making it, thinking about everything that bothered me so we could understand each other (because I can’t do it vocally, I don’t have time to think and answer in a way that will make them listen to me) and work on it

I'm an introvert and yeah, I can totally relate to all of these things. Especially the one about randomly blowing up.
My dad is always a complete and total jerk to our family. Especially my mom. He'll start arguments out of nothing and then play the victim. He likes to make his whole family miserable every time we go anywhere together. He sits in his room all day sleeping and complains when he has to go to work. He never helps my mom with anything and she is constantly overwhelmed and stressed out. He fake apologises to everyone and then restarts the argument an hour later. He often calls me lazy because I'm fat, even though he is easily the laziest person in the house. I usually just shrug off the comments, ignore him, or bottle up my feelings, but this time was just at my limit.
He had come downstairs after some big fight with my mom after she had simply asked him to help her out around the house more. He came downstairs and started listing off excuses and saying that "The kids are lazy and never leave the couch, so why are you mad at me?"
I piped up for once (mistake), saying that I was joining marching band that coming school year. Now, anyone who does marching band know that It's no small feat, and I was really excited to be getting more exercise. He immediately shot me down, saying that he had known people in marching band when he was a kid and they were all fat and lazy and that they never did anything. That actually really hurt because I was really looking forward to it. I ran upstairs literally on the verge of tears. My mom came up a little later after being furiously yelled at and tried to comfort me. My dad came in a little later and after "apologizing" said that my mom always jumped to my side. I was just done. I screamed at the top my lungs for him to shut up and get out of my room. He looked shocked and slammed the door on his way out. I burst into tears. I felt bad afterwards for yelling, but it did feel really good to let it out for once.
Holy crap, that comment was scary. Everything you said about your dad is exactly like my dad. Every bit of it, being like that, playing the victim, fake apologizing, everything. Even the stuff about my mom being stressed and about him calling me lazy and saying that I never do anything. I'm even in marching band! The only difference here that I can find is that I'm actually a tad underweight. Jeez man, I know how you feel. It's really tough. I dont know if it's the same with you, but my dad is also really controlling, especially regarding money, because "he's the one who goes to work and earns the money" when he wont even allow my 18 year old, senior-in-highschool brother to get a job solely out of his own want for control. He wont even give my mom money to pay off her credit card debt on cards that he was the one to use all the money from. She has to smuggle money from him.

My dad isn't really that controlling, but he always says that he "deserves to be respected" even though he hasn't earned one bit of it. He mostly just sits in his bed all day when he's not at work and he does sometimes spend money without my mom's consent.
Regardless though, I really am sorry that you have to experience that as well. It's terrible to have to live with someone like that.

The more he tells me I can't do something I want to do, the more driven I am to do it successfully, just to spite him. Honestly though, I'm extremely anti-compassionate to people I dont like, it's weird to me that he doesn't even realize that I simply would not care if he died. I feel no remorse when he gets hurt, heck, I wouldn't even feel bad for tripping him down the stairs, I just wouldn't do it so as not to get in trouble. It just baffles me how much he honestly thinks that he isn't doing anything wrong.
Can relate my biological father was exactly the same in fact he was a controller, and he always sought to manipulate the situation so that it seemed that he was the good guy and us (this affected my whole family obviously) the bad guys, He always said that we never did anything and that we would not achieve anything in life and other things, but luckily for me he is dead and my mother married again and my stepdad is nice and clearly after the hell she went through specifically, it was perfect
Fr, I can relate. My dad came up to my room and "apologized" while patting on my head. I whacked his hands away because I hated his tactics of apologizing so much, like wtf. I was mad bc before, he yelled at me saying I didn't have any rights to speak back to him. I only raised my voice a little bit saying "we have our own rights" and he got all cranky.

One time I broke my collar bone at school and I decided to take myself to the office instead of telling anyone I'm in deep pain. I had to hold my bag with the other arm. Man, I do most of this stuff even when I’m not pissed at anyone. Especially the pet thing. Playing with animals is so much simpler than dealing with humans, and much more rewarding.
Since I am not a pet person, I try to find kids around any social gatherings like weddings or birthday parties and talk or play with them instead.

I could never stand it, and it took me until now to realize it was an introvert thing. When I'm not okay, I would much rather just have space and time alone. So when somebody insists on figuring out what's wrong with me, it almost feels like they're forcing their way into my head. It always seems like they're prioritizing their curiosity over my comfort.

Introverts (like me lol) never answer a phone, we stare at it in terror wondering why they didn't bother texting us

That or they are being rude for not knowing you. Unless they don't know you well. Either way it's crucial to clarify this. I've got standard warnings for new relationships. One of them is "Please be prepared for irregular replies. When I answer, I want to do it properly, so I'll let it sit till I'm truly ready to dedicate myself to it. Oh, and I dislike calls. Please text me". 😂

People think us introverts are very diligent students and always listening to instructions, when in reality we are zoned out and have unfocused eyes staring at the board. Then when it’s time to work I never know what to do, and I have nobody to ask what we are doing.

Edit: Not all of these I do, it is most of them and I just A) Don't like people to help me cause I want to do it on my own. B) I don't like calling, it is so much easier to text. C) I don't like to talk to people a lot, I like a lot of downtime. D) I live inside of my head and don't really like sentences cause of fear of messing up my sentence and making me sound dumb E) I LOVE MY FRIENDS! I would do anything for them but when I'm mad i like to bottle it up and then I release it in a large manner... but then apologize if I blew up my friend or someone I like/don't want to upset. Okay, I'm done :)

Asking an introvert if they're mad at you is a good tactic, but takes some know-how. It's a bit like asking sexual consent actually, only instead of ambiguity meaning No, ambiguity means Yes.
Example:
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine"
"Okay...we both know that's not true. Is it something I did?"
>Silence means Yes
>Yes means Yes
>Sarcastic no means Yes
>No means No

Well as an introvert I am usually fine when you apologize honestly.. there might be 4 Reactions of mine 1. I'll forgive you that moment you apologized, because whatever it was wasn't that bad and i might also feel bad for yelling at you just because you were the one to reach my limit.. 2. I'll tell you to give me time.. in that case please just give me time, don't make any stupid actions to catch my intention, that might just piss me of even more, but just looking for contact or inviting me will probably be okay, so basically during that time i just want you to act normal and yeah show that you are really sorry but please don't pressure me to finally forgive you or see that as an 'everything is fine' no, i need my time and please let me have it.. I'll reach out to you if i had enough time and tell you either why i don't want to have to do anything with you anymore (please try to accept, it's a long thought through decision) or I'll tell you everything is fine and that I forgive you 3. I'll tell you that an apology isn't enough or that I won't be able to forgive you. In that case just leave me alone, don't make anything stupid and you'll probably will never hear of me again, except maybe after a long time that I'll reach out to you and ask you again about that situation 4. I'll tell you everything is fine and you didn't had to apologize.. in thatcase run, i'm probably not polite but planning revenge. So basically just show that you are really sorry also after i forgave you (don't repeat your action..), apologize and give me time

Seriously speaking, this is true. When I'm really pissed -- especially at a coworker or my boss -- then I have to isolate myself. I can't be going to jail because I just snapped and went postal.
We may not show it but when we get angry it's at a whole new level
Extroverts too can be dangerous. They are very emotive so they can just hurt you emotionally and physically and they're too out of control. Introverted people's outbursts are dangerous and I'm saying this as an introvert myself but we have more self-control and self-awareness over our emotions so we don't usually go to physical agression or emotional manipulation unless very agressive (of course we can't control outbursts, but we are naturally more reserved on that type of thing).

And also, refused food offering from a neutral friend during recess if you dont have the same energy with him. Idk why, from a child age, i've never ask something like food from a friend, even if it looks tasty and i really want it. I wont asking for a bit even i was offered from him, yet i will still refused it. Maybe because im too shy or felt inappropriate to accept the offering.If im really craving for that food, i will go buy it for myself.

as an introvert, when I get mad ,I unintentionally stop talking with the person , but there's something that may really bother me , which is when that person keeps talking & talking despite me not responding or ignoring them ,like for 30 min straight, that really gets me angry anyway, actually, my mom keep doing that again & again , she never gives up , & keep chatting & asking about random stuff as if the conversation was nrml ,like literally, even when I say I'm busy , or whatever excuse ,she just doesn't leave !!

I have not felt emotions towards a human since 8 August 2000. I do not know anybody. Thus, it is very difficult for anybody to stimulate an emotional response in me. Strangers can not stimulate emotions, generally, in others.

The most unbearable thing I deal with as an introvert is when I speak for the first time in a conversation(I RARELY talk anyways) and my friends interrupt me to tell a joke about me and how I should be more extroverted or some shit. It gets me so mad that I just stop talking and walk away. Like, I'm NOTHING but nice to you, I NEVER interrupt you.... Why? Just WHY? If I talk in a conversation, then it's probably something MEANINGFUL because I RARELY EVER TALK. I'm seriously getting mad just typing this. ITS INFURIATING
But I never say anything about it because I have HORRIBLE social anxiety and I don't want to hurt their feelings, even though I am 1000000 times more hurt than they could be if I confronted them.

I'm an introvert, and a few years ago I had an epiphany at work. I had always thought that small talk with coworkers was time wasted, until one day I saw a coworker have a conversation with another coworker about a big error that coworker had made. The conversation went surprisingly well. It was then that I realized that if you don't make a point of talking about the small stuff (friends, family, pets, vacations, etc), then discussions about the hard stuff (errors someone made) might be almost impossible. So even if it takes you out of your comfort zone, try to take a modest interest in your coworkers. One day you might need their help, and it will be easier to ask for it if you've laid that friendship foundation.
I was mad at my friend and she was like “You’re now silent because you’re mad, right?”
Then I said “Just because I’m quiet doesn’t mean I’m mad at you..”

I feel like being an introvert makes really simple tasks, way harder. Like in class, whenever I have question and my friend is sat beside me, I’d ask them. When they don’t know the answer, they tell me to ask the teacher, now I know this is incredibly simple but for me that’s very hard. The fact that I have to raise my hand, so then everyone else will notice I have a question, then wait for the teacher to notice I’ve raised my hand, and in the worst of cases the teacher might not notice or even ignore me, have to wait for the teacher to respond to me or come near me, ans then ahve to ask the actual question and wait for a good enough answer for me to understand.
That’s a lot of social interaction, so I’ll take my book or some notes and I’ll save myself 10 minutes or more of social interaction.
