I like how they made it so that the long snoot is just it falling off because of disrepair. You can even see it in tha small details how they're misaligned.
If the badly animated Doan's Zaku from 0079 is canon in Origin, then the "animation error Long-Face" Gundam in 0079 must also be canon in Origin too.

lets just be happy that they made this gem canon, i think they deserve lots of credit for that.
I liked how they gave it an explanation that actually makes sense. like, its just a reconstructed head with scrap metal that doesnt fit together. the long head gundam would be harder to explain. maybe if they tried to fit a special antena or sensor, that doesnt fit on the regular head, so they had to extend it.
maybe when the new gundam 0079 anime comes out they can include it there.
i think gundam creators have lots of appreciation for gundam fandom and lore.
like, i love that they acknowledge how weird and crappy OG designs used to be, and instead of ignoring them and move on, they just roll with it, clean up the designs, and include them in new iterations.
we saw ms 8th team do it, then the manga did it, then even gundam unicorn. this is why I love the universal century lore so much .
Its great kit because its very rare to have an official damage from it, just like exia repair or psycho zaku 😁

I almost wish it was dopier. I do like it though. Having said that all that was in the movie was the heat hawk.
But also like Bandai wanted to make the hg ground type high mobility zaku’s. They could have thrown those in for a ‘special deal’
Is that the first time Bandai has molded battle damage onto a part? Also you’ve gotta do an armored core kit soon in honor of the ac 6 trailer
I think they've done it with the Thunderbolt MG kits

Funny enough, I started seeing the looong snoot as a Gouf snoot with Zaku vent detail.
i'm so mad I missed this. and I feel the only weapon this should be displayed with is Mobile Suit Martial Arts, like in the original 1979 show.
They even recreated the running pose.

How does one go about watching the movie itself?
Also I really hate how the heat hawk is just one lump of gray plastic rather than a two part thing with the blade being separate. Would be so easy to make it so the blade can be either an inactive silver/light grey or give the option to use an ignited orange/red one.
You can watch it online on some non legal streaming sites lol, if you're in the US there was like two showings a couple months ago

I ended up painting the details on mine but I noticed the color correction stickers were the thicker more premium feeling kind like what you got with the mg FA thunderbolt

It was in theaters months ago. Pirating is another option morality notwithstanding, the full movie is available online somewhere.
Still pissed off why the kit named after the main character ended up as P-Bandai while the only retail is Guncannon Origin ver?

When I saw the first images of the face on this for the movie. I physically made a cringy face and went UGHH. But now I really like this look. For this kit. Don't need all my Zaku's to look like this, but it's nice to have some variety.
I'm hoping to see Sleggars GM as it will be interesting to see what a regular Origin GM would be like. I heard that the Doan (Essentially The Origin) Guncannon will be general release, does anyone know if that's true? Because if that's true there's still hope for an Origin Guntank.
Yep. The Doan Guncannon is a regular release (already pre-ordered one), so I'm also hoping we get a newer Guntank.
@@febcortes5878 Yeah, I've got one on order as well now. Origin flips the order of events so the island events don't happen until after Jaburro and Hiyato gets his Guncannon, so no Guntank for now I'm afraid

The Zaku might be my least favorite suit. But I love the one from The 08th MS, and this one. Great movie. I look forward to building this one.

if they made the derp animation Zaku face canon does that mean the Gundam with a stretched out face and having no neck canon too? lol.
I wanted this stretched-snooted Zaku II for ages and never thought they'd actually go through with making it... but I wish they'd done this as a MG instead. They could've gotten away with fewer color-correcting stickers that way, too. I'm kinda over HGs at this point, even though I acknowledge that they're still getting better and better over time. They're just small, less well articulated with mediocre engineering, and require a ton of extra work to get looking as good as a MG looks out of the box. Just unsatisfying in general... a bit like the trading figures, but with tons more effort required. I got my monkey's paw wish, I guess...
