They sound terrible though...
@@TheWorldOfBudgetVinylRecords indeed they do. and the information for most of them is incorrect. great job youtube. a bunch of high schoolers literally created a better archive in their free time 🤦♂️
@@The4MusketeersYT I literally have a way better sounding recording of "The Straight Life" at my disposal, while they couldn't even get the title right💀
@@The4MusketeersYT Damn. LITERALLY a bunch of high schoolers. 💀
THANK YOU SOOOOOOO
MUCH!!🛫✈️
In 1975 I was hired by a wealthy architect to take care of his large yacht. He had a selection of 3 hour long reel to reel tapes. These featured light classical, easy listening and "pop" music and were from a collection used by American Airlines. We would play them quietly when he was entertaining guests, or we were on a long ocean voyage so we had music with our breakfast, lunch and dinner. Happy days!
Cool story, thank you

"Would you like to be in the New York Philharmonic Orchestra or the Muzak Orchestra?"
"Absolutely the Muzak Orchestra!"
What I learned to appreciate in this music is that in these primitive and unobtrusive chords our life is reflected, everyday, maybe even unnoticed, but so loved after many years, when many of our loved ones and everything that surrounded us , will go into eternity, we will be able to listen to this music and remember something every day, something so valuable that we saw and felt. This music with its very simple but very pleasant chords reflects our life. Thanks for this playlist!
It's the sound a dying mall makes as you walk through the emptiness.
Ah ah lol 😂 spot on a tired grave yard of a town centre Mall .
Actually, that's what it sounded like in a live mall as well, because the sound was bouncing all around the walls
The world is a dying mall
Yeah, definitely“ backrooms” music
@@nickbryant2318excellent analogy sir! Too bad most people are still wandering around in it looking for bargains. They have nowhere else to go. Sad
Reminds me of background music from Soviet films, so warm and familiar, without evil or bad intentions. Listening to this album, I get the feeling that I’m somewhere in a typical hall of a Soviet cultural center, in front of me are huge panoramic windows, behind them it’s early morning and the city is still sleeping, the floors are buried in the sun’s rays, and only this music is coming from somewhere from the depths of the soul gives the painting a finished look
From spain ...love music ...never i ride on a plane .an.always wanted can to visitin Usa Love music its so lovely....i was born on 78 but music really its so kinda sweet n lovely n so clearly heavenly for all my deeper senses too much calming n relaxing !!! This is amazing. A lot of people that were around when this was new, and also many younger people who filtered through vaporwave and then mallsoft and then finding their way to this.
I found this searching for mall soft
@@bigbufobufo I love mallsoft too. Through mallsoft I found the muzak genre.
This got recommended to me due to my interest in the Kmart vaporwave mixes lol
Here from mall
Muzak is the reason I've embraced Vaporware. Muzak is the O G
Just fly in peace sky 😊
This is pretty wild. Obviously somebody ran this through a DSP unit to open up the sound stage and give it a whole lot of echoplex. I kind of like it pretty trippy
well... now that we have THAT sorted out
Sort of what it would have sounded like being blasted through a large and echoey airport or mall as you are waiting for your flight. I'm having flashbacks!

The first song is “April Again”
If I could live - April again
Oh, only if I could live, April again..
Thank you!
@@aresarmoire780 I was glad to help! =)) love 1950s-1970s music
If you could have experienced a Pan Am flight in 1973 with the on board lounge,.. wow...
The stewardess outfits were amazing also..

Simply divine. This is perfect music
doing the lord's work
I can imagine standing in an airport concourse, waiting for my 747 to take me to Japan.
14:44 has serious James Bond vibes
it's the music of the new Air France commercial
The Windmills of Your Mind
Indeed a similar accompaniment.
Original melody was composed by Michel Legrand from France.
Memorable music. In 1967 I flew a 707 Clipper from SFO to Orly, France. We circled up and over Greenland, down over Ireland into Orly. I think it's called the Polar Route. I am so sad Pan Am went away.
Don't know about you, but this music sends me flying.
Oh, I know...{GROAN}
That joke takes punning to new heights. Every time I fly, the future of my trip is up in the air. I was winging it with those jokes.
@@randomvideowatcher You were, because the sky's the limit...🌍
I love the second song, it is so romantic and brings a nostalgic feeling.
Agreed! This kind of music is all somewhat romantic. My girlfriend in high school usually tuned in to one of the easy listening stations while we were making out. It was really enjoyable…
Reminds me of a dingy Mall in Birmingham a few years back half the shops boarded up old faithful green grocers opened & maybe a sewing wool store felt bad for the owners standing in a cold dingy mall , had to buy a bag of fruit & veg & a knitted toilet roll holder , they were grateful with a smile ☺ weired moment but happy 😊 I experience it was a time warp oh & brought a tea & salad roll it was delicious. MEMORIES love elevator music 🎶 imagination goes wild .
Love the little "ding" at the end of the video. Adds more to the feeling of an airport.
I've heard all of this music before...but not in about 40 years...I like it..
Calming
I love the atmosphere this album has, so good.
I love you and i love what you have shared ! Thank you a lot ! 💜

That was a nice touch at the end
wow. there are lots of easy-listening uploads but this a gem. thank you so much.
Simply fantastic , great work on the reverb editing, Joe lonic did an edited album like this one and I have to say you’ve done a swell thing here, the album thumbnail is just the cherry on top.
Do I smell obsession here!
Thank you for this amazing upload, Beautiful Music.
I’m here ten years too late to be making V A P O R W A V E

the one prior to Autumn (37:43) is the main theme from Now, Voyager
Thanks!
@@aresarmoire780 you’re welcome
Are you sure? Doesn't sound it, at least not like the main theme.
@@hudsony777 i think they took a lot of creative freedom but i think its closer than any other suggestions we’ve gotten thus far. it may be something else though.

This song was found on a Muzak reel-to-reel tape for United airlines. The original version can be heard on CV2200A's channel in a video called 'Muzak Tape 3 United Airlines' at 1:40:50

Such an incredibly eerie video, the one you are referencing. I also remember a Muzak version of “She’s Always a Woman” by Billy Joel that was playing.
We dont remember 25:01, but we encourage you to remember it.. how about some Milano Cookies while you take this trip to paradise?
22:00 should be "Mon coeur s'ouvre a ta voix"
Thanks!
So we’ll never know who made the goated 1st record? 😢
I think it's "Goin' out of my head" by Wes Montgomery, but super slowed down. Here is a link of it: ruclips.net/video/pojnUyrETI4/видео.html
It's 'April Again', originally written by Glen D. Hardin. Check out Dean Martin's version on YT

I have this one record, that is this type of music. It’s 33 1/3 size, but 16 rpm. So is there a record player that plays that speed?
There are some around, it looks like Etsy has some, but they are quite hard to come by. I think there are a few companies that transfer vinyl to digital files these days that might be what you’re after
Is this PANAMA music

"Senza Fine" arranged by Phil Bodner.
Smoking or non? as if the smoke knows where to stop 🤢
Is this a ginormous empty plane? May want to change the title to Dead Mall Muzak.
When you just chilling, taking off from Iran, but you realize it is the 1980s period: Horrify noises.
not so good audio but nice music
It's deliberately distorted for that 100% mall feeling.
These sound very liminal
no effects, please; music not requires.
Good playlist, bad effects.
Everything sounds so distant, heavy hangover music

02:52 Put Your Head on My Shoulder - arr. Dick Hyman or Nick Perito

I have no idea how I got here, but this is just so perfect it makes me tear up. What is this? What genre?
Hard to say, technically speaking it's background music... but with the reverb, it's a variant of the Mallsoft genre perhaps?
Elevator
canned ... but very trippy
