WOO YEAH! Thank You for this! Al recently released his latest Epiphone but WITHOUT THE PIEZO! UNBELIEVABLY dissappointing! I just had to come here for that meant-to-be tone in a properly produced Alex Lifeson guitar. 👍
I missed my chance to get one of these new. I saw they had the new red version which looks beautiful and sounds amazing but it doesn't have the piezo which blows my mind :( So I ended up getting one of these used instead. Hopefully it doesn't get destroyed during shipping. 🤞🤞 I like the viceroy brown sunburst look more anyways so I'm happy. I may get the red one down the road too because it's not a bad guitar for what it is, but it's hard to deny that the piezo greatly increases your flexibility. 1,300 is pretty steep for the red version, so if they ever re-release this one I can imagine it's going to be a lot more than when it was originally released. Maybe 1,300 for the red one and 1,400-1,500 for this one. Honestly, I think this Viceroy Brown version with the Piezo should become a regular offering by Epiphone. It's ridiculous how limited they were.
@@PaulMeUnder The good news about the Ruby one is that it seems Epiphone is going to keep it around in their regular product lineup instead of doing a brief limited run like they did with the Viceroy Brown version. I probably spent more than I should've but I'm excited to try it out. It was just delivered but haven't plugged it in yet. Just curious, to get the acoustic tone on its own by itself when you're only running one output, do you have to run it out from the 2nd output jack, or can you get the acoustic sound by itself while running out the main output jack by adjusting some knobs? I was under the impression you could only blend tones when running one cable from the main output and that the 2nd output jack is specifically for the piezo by itself but I could be totally wrong, I haven't messed around with it yet.
Could you show the settings for the piezo. My Epi AL came with some missing wiring (jumper) wire. Customer service at Gibson was nice enough to send me a schematic, but the Epi wiring is different from the Gibson. I see you have the pick up switch in the Rhythm position. What about the knobs on the tone pots?
From what I saw online based on the reviews the best way to fix that is to replace the battery because the one that comes from the factory is kind of weak
@@amiibeau4622 ...thanks for getting back to me, I will change the battery and see if that sorts it. Nice playing by the way....should think there are a lot of happy Alex fans now this has been released!!
Wow this sounds incredible, Alex himself said these were created so he could play his acoustic parts on his electric, sounds about right

Anyone who goes onto youtube and plays Rush is brave but you carried it off. Its a great guitar!
Dittos

Yeah I was a bit disappointed the red one was piezo free as it's such an integral part of his sound. Oh well!

hi, I wish I could but I don't have the guitar anymore sorry :(
Ho lee shiut, it sounds like an acoustic. Lol. I need one of these!!
I'd like to hear the sound of piezo but through an acoustic guitar impulse response. Anyway. Nice sound.
I gotta get one of these..
I’m having to gain mine up quite a bit with my interface… by the time I get it gained up there’s a noticeable hum. :| battery is fresh. Any ideas???
Its not something I've noticed so it might be worth swapping out the battery as a start.
Hi....sounds good. Just bought one of these myself....are you using the dedicated piezo jack for this? Just asking as mine doesn't seem to work?

@@seveertrebor I’m definitely loving mine. I have to learn some new rush riffs
I am. I havent tried the dedicated jack yet. I thought I'd read somewhere this only accepts a TRS cable (which I have and will try).
Dedicated jack doesn't work unless you plug something into the other jack (even just a disconnected plug)
Guitar sounds
I really like this guitar but those white pickup surro7nds are ugly.
