After a while, the "battery" on mine just quit holding a charge. Even though the thing looks more like a super capacitor.
I just got tired of that so I made it wired and powered by a switching power supply.

Got mines at Walmart about a year ago. Super cheap, and its a very decent speaker. I've used it at the beach multiple times and last very long. Also good for the shower to listen to your music. It appears to be maybe too much current running through the wire and the soldering point is not the best I've seen. Glad you got yours to work. Some people rather just through away and spend cash on new speakers instead of trying to fix things that sometimes is so simple but requires time and patience. I've had many portable speakers, this one just seems to be the best with good bass. When the battery dies I'm gonna do a LiPo battery pack or something else as a replacement to keep it going!!!

What kind of sauntering iron did you use to repair the wire?

How do you use the "line-in" option?

Man… I have a pair of the black web party speakers . I’m having an issue with the battery of one of them. Turns on , then turns off by itself, even while plugged into power.. I CANNOT figure out how to open it to repair. Any chance you could do a video on this???? I’ve been looking for months and can’t find anybody to repair it😫

If you can give me the model number, I can search on it. But from what I've seen on these Blackweb brand, they tend to be disassembled from the face plate. You might need to pull out the mesh on yours too and then located the screws hidden. The square party speaker I saw online with a certain model number had a large SLA battery. Like the homedepot ones for Alarm Systems.

How do you pry it open

    • @CSJiGSaW08

For the metal mesh, you can use a razor blade or knife around the edges. Keep prying up different corners around the perimeter after lifting a little bit each area. You can use a a fine tip angle steel tool kit or something that fits in the holes also to pry it up. For the speaker itself after removing the 4 screws, you can use a razor blade or knife. It should separate quick, if not try banging a little bit against a table or floor to loosen it up. It was quite simple, the harder part was the metal mesh.
