- WQXR's Beethoven Piano Sonata Marathon, which took place in The Greene Space on Nov. 20, 2011 featured a lineup which spanned a range of personalities and national schools. It included the flamboyant individualists Evan Shinners and Timothy Andres; the Russian powerhouses Daria Rabotkina and Natasha Paremski; and the Chinese up-and-comers Qi Xu and Yuchong Wu. Some, including Jeremy Denk, Jonathan Biss and Alessio Bax, are already boldface names on the international concert circuit; others are on their way.

So beautiful ! The phrasing is amazing
This is the best I have ever heard this piece, and I have listened to so many. What an outstanding performance. Well done!
I mean it's really good but Barenboim plays it better in my opinion.
@@frederick5197 Thanks! I will have to give it a listen for an exam.
Only been listening for a few months, and I can say it's not the best, but played it quite well!
Amazing talent and skill. This is fantastic
Love the way you play!
Beautiful!!💖💖💖
A new star is rising!
I love this sonata!
Absolument magnifique!!!!!!
Awesome!!
Well done. Respect
awesome....
Reading this, 23 (needless to say) and hammerclavier were Beethoven 's favorite. That brought me here for my first listen of 25. Such an excellent performance!!! I so appreciate performers that work to do a masterpiece like this justice. Also love "obey Beethoven" on the wall! 😊
This guy is better than some other people who claim to be professionals.
Very good!
Bravo incantevole
Juste...woaou...❤❤❤
Special!!!
Wow
how to play the alberti bass that smooth? I was told to move the arm up and down. but his arm is stationary :)
Practice accenting the bass note while keep the other notes all most inaudible.
@@em8714 much appreciated will try this. I also have a problem with weight distribtion due to poor posture. I have addressed that and seems to work well with Mozarts k.333 which i absolutely adore.
@@Petermaguire3684 I had the same problem when playing Beethovens first concerto a while back but now it's one of the easiest things for me. Good luck
赞! 我最喜欢的youtube版本!
3:53 that troll so smooth tho man 😩👌
I think that is not that hard?
I think his phrasing is more impressive lol
XD I'm learning this song, this is killing me.
this is avery appropriate speed ,if I,m trying to determine which is best for me as an amature
What instrument is this? Is it the bagpipes? I'm going to learn it and become the fourth best player ever.
The piano
Practice 4 hours a day, and know what a piano is dude. Then u'll be the best.
@AlekMusic Productions I gotta play for 6 HOURS..... my parents just force me... 😑😑
@@tansy69 asian

RUclips 캔리슈 네 ~~~축하드려요
My doods neck is crooked God damn
I've been listening to the op79 1st of pianists play it on RUclips, his playing is the best! It makes me want to practice more to be able to play like him, sounds very beautiful and every note is clear. I think he missed playing the measure 98! Please QI XU, add the measure 98 on your play between bars 97 and 99, and play it again, please!!

9th grade?
6th grade
Grade 8
ATCL
Depends. Usually considered around grade 7
I feel as though the first movement should be slightly faster. Opening the piece with a bit more vigour and intensity. great use of articulation though.
Really?
It's fast enough already
The speed should be about 168-176 to an eighth note on the metronome
To me it's a bit too fast
If it's too fast it's almost uncontrollable
Sometimes I wonder how he does it
The second mvt should be a touch slower because the tempo specifies it as Andante
But generally a great performance
Third mvt just right at the speed
Just my opinion, but there is a great version (in my opinion) by Barenboim on youtube, look it up, i think he plays the 1st movement near enough perfectly
but to add... this is by no means a bad performance, very skilled and controlled
LozzaBHD yes I agree
Nope... it’s a good speed. Well controlled and very musical. You may like it faster... but that does not mean it ‘should’ be faster. Everyone plays it differently... but I find this interpretation very convincing.
100 times better when I play that song
Really?
Piece
A piano composition is a piece - not a song. Songs have words for someone to sing. I did not hear anyone singing so you should call this composition either a piano piece or a piano sonata.
A “song” it definitely is not.
Well said! However i really love this mozart song
Bot 1 it’s Beethoven
@@diannewang371 woosh?
@@cat-zd3nt you said the piece is by Mozart but it's by Beethoven you idiot. You can read right? The title clearly says Beethoven
@@diannewang371 Methinks "cat 1" is being critical and witty in an understated way.
