The fact that Emma had less deathblows than mini bosses and Isshin only matched them always made me feel off going into the fight and I think that’s on purpose since it really shows how far gone Sekiro already is at that point since they’re also insanely brutal deathblows too for people he was allied with
Nobody is going to talk about the fact that : -The final boss in tending is not only an old man, but a literal geriatric in his pijama and his nurse. -Isshin is a master swordsman and a fire-bender too.
My first playthru i sided with Kuro. Due to the Dragonrot, I decided that Kuro was right, the divine blood was not sacred, and until it was severed, people would continue waging mini-wars over it. In the end my preferred ending is the Purification ending. Sekiro sacrifices himself to give Kuro a normal life; I think it’s a fantastic Send off for Sekiro, and I like to wonder how Kuro and Emma’s life will turn out. I almost always do each ending in these kind of games at least once. The Shura path is sad, but seeing Sekiro become Shura, and the narrator alluding to him having become this unknown demon who stalks Ashina, is a chilling (in a good way) and emotional ending. Though Sekiro Likely Kills Kuro:(

Having wolf wield two mortal blades with this ending is definitely fitting, such power for such chaos man the red and black mortal blades no wonder he was a terror n pre much destroyed everything in his path i love it!!!
I think this is the canon ending. Also, nothing objectively bad about it (except the part where Wolf betrays his father), it's just how each person chooses to perceive it.
@Not You No, the mortal blade has the ability to KILL immortal beings. The dragon tears are there to remove the dragon's heritage and cleanse the world of dragonrot.
When I saw the iron code option, I just knew I had to go for it. I was expecting some twist in conversation, and when asked the second time my decision remained unchanged. Not until I actually pierced through Emma's throat did I know shit was serious and there was no chance for a "betraying-dad" development. I actually had to murder the characters I liked. But the ending was the craziest. For a brief moment when Sekiro stabbed Owl I thought the expected twist finally occurred, with Kuro reviving Emma and Isshin with his heritage power, sth like that, and the quest would continue. I thought either way (choosing to fight Ashina pair or Owl), the ultimate showdown wouldn't come until after at least a couple more hours of gameplay. But turned out the story ended on a weird, unresolved note, with me being a mass-stabbing psychopath, and tons of unanswered questions, which are dealt with in the supposedly canon ending... I prolly won't start my second playthrough unless I'm extremely bored, but wow, what a fearless maneuver by Fromsoftware. Basing hours of gameplay on a single, irreversible decision and making every player who chose iron code path feel like real-life Shuras. Reverse catharsis. Impressive!
So... obeying the iron code makes Sekiro Shura? The same code Owl and all other shinobi obeyed without turning in psychotic thrill killers? There needed to be more to this ending, like killing NPCs or the bystander enemies.
@@silverblade357 no. Falling for the corrupting trap of immortality and blindly following his father's wishes is what turns sekiro into shura. The Iron code isn't the sole reason.
4:43 that "SEKIRO" is literally everything, the faint smirk that wolf has, enjoying his kill. On the verge of becoming shura, and then his smile fading away as he hears the man, the legend. Thing is this game is not the usual clunky slowness that other souls titles have. The speed in this game can be off the chart sometimes, and do not get me started on the spear wielding miniboss enemies that are overpowered beyond all belief because fromsoft gained a spear obsession out of nowhere. That and i feel like ng+7'ing this game with no damage or no deaths will be extremely hard because at ng+7 i'm expecting everything to be a oneshot honestly with how much damage some of these bosses are doing on bare bones ng, thus demanding endless perfect deflects or dodges from the player for every boss. Especially the bosses that can cause terror which is the most bullshit status effect in a soulslike since frenzy in bloodborne. @Starscream91
Just beat them. Fantastic parry duels. Btw, Umbrella + Projected Force during fire attacks would shorten Isshin's phase 2 and make it easier quite a bit.
Small advice to deal with his Ashina cross: When he set in to do the move, move closer towards him for he will first attack you once and then sweep. The attack is quite easy to parry if you get the timing down and after that instantly jump and bounce off his head. This way, you can maintain pressure a lot more better instead of backing off

I don't think some people get just how horribly awful this ending is. We all know the Demon of Hatred right? Well that's a proto shura, Isshin cut off the Sculptors arm before he could fully transform, and all that really did was slow the transformation down for a time. Now take all of that power and horrific abilities and mix them with a guy who is incapable of being killed permanently and could and actually has defeated God himself in a sword fight cause he's that skilled, with the only two weapons capable of doing any real harm to him no doubt either destroyed or hidden away where no man will ever find them. This is the worst possible outcome for a Fromsoftware game, cause there's absolutely zero implications whatsoever that this is in any way shape or form even hinted at possibly being a good choice, n even the Chaos ending from Elden Ring implies that eventually the world will be reborn and will be better cause of it. No, all you've done is unleash a immortal, insane monstrosity of death and war upon the world, and there's absolutely nothing anyone can do to stop it from killing and destroying everyone and everything it sees.
Owl betrayed Wolf, it's only fair he get to double-cross him back because Wolf realize his father is corrupt and has only been using him this entire time. Now just because Wolf is unstoppable it doesn't necessarily mean he's gonna set the world on fire; the massacre was the outcome of reaching the ending, not something that happend after the ending. Kuro is still alive, meaning Wolf held on to his duty to protect him in the end, even if Kuro himself may not like the outcome, Wolf did fulfill his duty. It's not a perfect ending, but it's a ending I'm willing to respect.

Kuro’s voice is by far the worst English voice in the game, I’m considering doing my next play through in Japanese because of his voice

4:39 that damn creepy smile, he's losing his mind
The cutscene before you fight Ishiin gives me chills. The expression on his face and eye is so emotional, like he’s disgusted he’s being forced to kill shura again.
The fact that Emma had less deathblows than mini bosses and Isshin only matched them always made me feel off going into the fight and I think that’s on purpose since it really shows how far gone Sekiro already is at that point since they’re also insanely brutal deathblows too for people he was allied with
Nobody is going to talk about the fact that :
-The final boss in tending is not only an old man, but a literal geriatric in his pijama and his nurse.
Though Sekiro Likely Kills Kuro:(
I would say that Ishiin was surprisingly formidable for a man on his deathbed but that would downplay how powerful he was at the end of his life.
4:18 love the roll into the finisher. Super smooth. Also breaks my heart every time I fight Emma

Impressive!
Shinobi: you can't be Shura
Sekiro: hold my beer
Sculptor: hold mine

So... obeying the iron code makes Sekiro Shura? The same code Owl and all other shinobi obeyed without turning in psychotic thrill killers? There needed to be more to this ending, like killing NPCs or the bystander enemies.
@@silverblade357 no. Falling for the corrupting trap of immortality and blindly following his father's wishes is what turns sekiro into shura. The Iron code isn't the sole reason.
