Have you found a resolution for finding nice, big, pretty strawberries I would like to know also I tried to wash them I think I did something wrong becuz they ended up mushy so I couldn't use them
I had almost 400 strawberries to do yesterday for mother’s day and my back and feet were hurting so bad 😭 But it was so worth ! If anyone is thinking about starting this business I totally recommend it just be dedicated to all the hours decorating! I made almost $400 yesterday 🥳 I’m only 15 ☺️
If you guys are doing this, a good place to start is half a dozen for $20 plain, with some drizzle. You need to take into consideration your time, packaging, strawberry price it fluctuates so so much, chocolate price, especially if you’re using the good stuff! Don’t under sell! Practice with time and get your stuff looking as professional as possible! People like seeing pretty things! If you nail it the first time with a customer they will come back and recommend you! Good luck, hope this helps!
Exactly. I always research the highest price of the strawberries in the store that i but them when they are not on sale. I then go off that price and start there. So if i get to get them on sale cool but if not then im still making a good profit based on the numbers that i feel they are worth. If that makes sense.
Just a tip for those interested in selling these. Make sure that your fee is giving you a good profit. It takes ALOT of time and money to buy all the supplies and treats. For wine and berry boxes, I charge at least $40 and go up depending on if they want additions like pretzels, oreos, etc. Its definitely a GREAT side hussel if you know how to charge properly.
Please tell me you have a channel with this type of info on it. I want to do this so bad because I love sugar crafting a just dont know how to price them.

Im going to start selling them soon and was doing my research on how to price them better. I didn’t think I should go that high due to me being a beginner and starting out. How did you determine that price for your strawberries?
I’m a med student in SoCal. A bunch of the girls here already sell chocolate covered strawberries, but since I really need the extra money for school + rent on the side, I am thinking about making chocolate covered strawberry bouquets with cake pops. I have no idea how to start or what to price them, I don’t even know what they’ll cost me lol. I guess we all have to start somewhere. Great video!!

How much were your strawberries from Walmart? I recently started selling chocolate covered strawberries and also recently raised my prices. Now I charge $24/dozen for the ones with a chocolate drizzle on top and $36/dozen for toppings. I know there are people who charge even more than me 😬 it's stressful making them because you can't buy the strawberries or make them in advance in order to have the most fresh product! I make mine the night before or even the day they're due. Sometimes I end up buying three boxes of strawberries just for one dozen because there are lots of "duds" (too small, squished, etc) so I have to consider all my costs. Great video! You could easily charge double with your pretty packaging and toppings!

You done a great job. Yes, your prices were a little low, but you probably got a lot of repeated orders due to your pricing. Word of mouth is the best advertising, so you did well. Try to use more boxes and less bags. The bags will make your candy sweat, and the boxes will let them breathe. Your decorated bags were awesome, but you will catch hell in a hot car, or sunny day. Hey I have a question how much would you recommend for me to sell a dozen? It’s hard to have certain prices when strawberry prices change often or you have to go to different stores
Last time i sold them $10 a dozen but honestly thats nothing for the hard work and like u said prices change on strawberries I am making some for fathers day and I sold each chocolate coverd strawberry for $2 so if they wanted a dozen it would be $24 ..
This is valuable information and I really appreciate it! You should do restaurant idea pricing/ catering I would love to start small doing both so your video was right on time Thank you so much
Sometimes it seems like my darker chocolate takes more than an hour in the fridge to harden. Should I try the freezer for 5 minutes first or Any other suggestions?
I have never workd with black chocolate. But have you tried refrigerating the strawberries then covering them with chocolate so the strawberries are nice and cool prior to dipping
luz veg Oh I meant like milk chocolate vs white chocolate! And no I’ve never tried that. I always read the berries should be at room temperature, but I will definitely try them chilled! Thanks!

@360Gipsy can I ask, around how much do you sell 10 strawberries for? I started selling 8 strawberries in a cup (drinkable plastic cup) for $10 bucks but idk if that's to low
It would depend on your chocolate. I would recommend keeping it chilld the longer the better. I use styrofoam for my strawberrys maybe it works for them too 🤔
Hey my friend and are want to start a chocolate strawberry business . We are seniors in high school . We are worrying about delivery cause its times we can get rides while other times we cant .
I would encourage your customers to pick up the strawberry! Or maybe offer a parent a few $$ to help with deliverys and charge your customers a little extra to deliver
I charge the amount of miles it is from where you’ll be delivering to by whatever your gas prices are at the time. You could easily look up the prices of the gas station you go to.
I have not had this experience but its possible that the strawberry isn't any longer fresh. Once you cover the strawberry with chocolate it creates moisture so u want to eat them within a few hours of buying/making
I just uploaded a video on how to store your strawberries .. ruclips.net/video/2h_MlluXbYs/видео.html

You did an amazing job! Your jobs were very professional and you had impressive presentation.
Girl I made a page for it & I have people telling me I’m copying them🙄 I was just bored lol since I’m on furlough due to Coronavirus & wanted something to do
A page for the strawberries?
luz vega yes lol I literally put Just for fun o my page & people were like all of a sudden you make chocolate strawberries 😑
Girl so what . People are haters they never want to see people doing anything good cause they hating. 🤦♀️ keep going with your page dont let anyone make you feel ashamed or that your doing something wrong 👏
luz vega thank you 😊
Those were amazing! And you definitely under charged!!!
My question is did you use real chocolate or candy melts? Which brands?
I use candy melts. Brand is chocomaker u can buy it at Walmart or Amazon amzn.to/2LicxAs
Dont you need a license to sell refrigerated food? I want to start a small business that sells cake pops and dipped fruit, i know dry baked products are protected under the cottage food law. However i am confused about the strawberries, does anyone know, i live in michigan?
You snapped! Great job! Absolutely double your prices
Thank you ! I have raised my prices now 🥰
How do you get so many orders? Like do you have a website or its word of mouth? Good Job Chicka❤
Most of my orders came from the office I was working at during the time of the video. As well as friends who ordered I typically make a post on Instagram when I'm making sales .. social media is great to get coustomers !! Thank you for watching 🥰
You explain everything so well! Good job & I hope your little business is going well
Thank you 😊💓
Thinking of doing this Valentine’s Day. Where did you get the Tin cans
I buy mine at dolor tree.
Hey I have a question how much would you recommend for me to sell a dozen? It’s hard to have certain prices when strawberry prices change often or you have to go to different stores
Last time i sold them $10 a dozen but honestly thats nothing for the hard work and like u said prices change on strawberries I am making some for fathers day and I sold each chocolate coverd strawberry for $2 so if they wanted a dozen it would be $24 ..
luz vega yea you’re right it’s tiring to be doing everything by yourself! They take time and effort so the price should be atleast $2 a berry
Hi, where did you purchase the heart tins from?
The dollar tree has them around valentine's day.
This is valuable information and I really appreciate it!
You should do restaurant idea pricing/ catering
I would love to start small doing both so your video was right on time
Thank you so much
Thanks! This was very informative. This seems like a fun side hustle.
Your my inspiration‼️🖤I have a question how did you get a lot of orders? Like how you made your business be known❓
Instagram and at my job I ask my coworkers.
Thanks!
hi everyone! where do you recommend to buy chocolate and which one? I'm not sure what to get plz help
What size was the box with the wine?
Thank you for sharing . I want to start my business and now I have an idea . How much money I can charge . Plus now this year it is so expensive . Thank you for your time

Love this video. Going to try and start a little business of my own thank you for this💕
Hi where did you get the big box the one with the wine and roses?
Its a cake box you can ask for them from the bakerys or buy some online i honestly dont remember the length of the box.
Question for you being you are putting wine in a box do you have to have a license to sell them with the wine in the box
I have a strawberry business and when they don’t have them I go and get them where ever they have them
They looked bomb!!!!!!
Girl they were ! Il make some soon so you can taste emm 🍓💕
If you make them the night before do you put them in the fridge or leave them out?
I leave them out i use an ice cooler with ice packs i live in az very hot so they need to be keeped in a cool place. I have noticed they get sweaty if placed in the refrigerator
You almost gave them for free 😳 I do berries as a side business and your prices were way, WAY low...You know now for the future
I made some for fathers day and raised my prices i didnt gave as many orders . People dont want to pay for what there actually worth
@360Gipsy can I ask, around how much do you sell 10 strawberries for? I started selling 8 strawberries in a cup (drinkable plastic cup) for $10 bucks but idk if that's to low
@@godisgood9340 that’s way too low. I do 6 for $12 and 12 for $24 and 24 for $46
My question is about delivery....does it melt fast? How do you deliver to multiple locations without any issues?
It would depend on your chocolate. I would recommend keeping it chilld the longer the better. I use styrofoam for my strawberrys maybe it works for them too 🤔
vega thathank you
Definitely did not charge enough. But they were beautiful.
Where to find the white boxes for the wine
Hey my friend and are want to start a chocolate strawberry business . We are seniors in high school . We are worrying about delivery cause its times we can get rides while other times we cant .
I would encourage your customers to pick up the strawberry! Or maybe offer a parent a few $$ to help with deliverys and charge your customers a little extra to deliver
I charge the amount of miles it is from where you’ll be delivering to by whatever your gas prices are at the time. You could easily look up the prices of the gas station you go to.
Very pretty Chocolate strawberries, but you didn't charge enough for your work.
I make chocolate covered strawberries I’m only 12 my parents help me 😀😀😘
Thats awesome! Strawberries are fun to make😊
Great video! Explained everything
Would you say someone can make this into a full-time (home) business?
Yes ! I really do . I have got to much feedback from people who do this for a living and it surprises me how I never you of it before
How many roses came with the wine box and How much did you sell it for?
12 And $65
Girl omgg ! Literally thank u so much for this video !!
Your welcome 🥰
Some bake shops take pre-orders
Ouhh you should charge a bit more! Your work is amazing + all the good supplies that you use…you are worth more ✨
Do you refrigerate the strawberries for the chocolate to get hard?
I refrigerate the strawberries before chocolate but not after . The strawberries will get sweaty if you refrigerate them
Where did you get the heart containers?
Dollor tree 🌳
The strawberries look so delicious
more entrepreneur ideas👍
Hey gorgeous what are your prices now ?
did you deliver each box personally?? how long did that take?
All orders came from my coworkers so I just took them with me to work . And I had a few ppl picked up from my home I don't deliver
Your prices were so low! But good work
Im so scared but I want to start, but idk how to start
Just do it ! Amazon is your best friend they have eveything for good ideas
luz vega thank you! I was doing some googling on where to buy the boxes and I saw the website brpshopbox Do you know if it’s legit?
I have never heard of it 😕. Your local Walmart might have boxes too or if your near a " dulceria" witch means candy store they have them there too
I love it I'm going start doing this
hey did you freeze them?
The strawberrys?
@@luzvega no dear ,the chocolate.. because my chocolate doesn't really dry.. its wet after putting in the fridge also
I would recommend a different brand of chocolate the one I use drys almost immediately could or room temperature strawberry
Where do you find those hugh strawberries
Castco or Walmart is where I usually find the strawberrys
@@luzvega thank you
Charge $2 per dipped strawberry!!!!!
How do you get your customers?
How do you guys promote? How are you able to make lots of sells? I want to start my little business but I’m scared I won’t have sells
I post on my Instagram and I make posters for my work so people can place orders. Girl just do it even if you start of small .
Why do some chocolate covered strawberries leak juice when u bite them?
I have not had this experience but its possible that the strawberry isn't any longer fresh. Once you cover the strawberry with chocolate it creates moisture so u want to eat them within a few hours of buying/making
