Continuing our pre-season testing with Aydan's Deuce Box 1957 Chevy drag-and-drive car. It's been off track for some time so there was some work to do but do we finally have a direction towards the seven second times this turbo LS combo should be capable of?
And thanks to those of you who read the description, here is a little reward for you. Next week's video is going to be a whole new race car that we have not revealed on the channel before and let me tell you - it's wild!

The rest of us maybe .00001% also know how to set up a clutch in front of a manual gearbox in high power output applications.

Sounds like you need a different converter company you should probably hit up PTC or somebody because you're custom machine your stator for your converter every single time you want to make a change

@@jdoe9518 lol there are tons of YT channels that swear often this being one of them. It rarely affects the videos monetization. The only thing they really care about is the title and thumbnail.

Good to see Aiden back behind the wheel. The Deuce Box looks and sounds great. It should have no problem running an 8 when it gets dialed in.
his first run was 7.22 @ the 1000 and he let off around the 800 foot mark. it was probably a 7.9 if he stayed in it

Aiden runs a lathe like I do: remove very little at a time. You can alsway take more off, but you cannot add material (easilly).
That lathe is exactly the same as the Optimum (German company) we have at work. They're pretty damn accurate for their size and weight.

What's the deal with those welds? The bigger the blob the better the job is not what you're looking for, especially in something that costs as much as a custom converter must cost.
The blobs are done for balancing. Hand made parts are made with extra attention to detail. 😂

I remember you mentioning about 2-3 months ago that 2.0 is up for sale, so I always was curious if there was another build happening in the background or not.

Aiden is going to get whiplash and concussion with that car. He is constantly schooching down, trying to see the tree. It's already bad at 1.20 60' and it's only getting worse as the tune progresses. That's your son, Tom. He is literally smashing his brain to smush trying to look "cool". If he wants to follow his dad, you need to get him into a car where he can see the tree without bending his neck. This is NOT a joke.
That Stator is junk, those welds are embarrassing…..When Bob says I’m staying out of this one when Aiden is referring to his torque converter says it all, that’s a high dollar converter and requires precision parts. To get a stator in that looks like that and then also requires additional machining is ludicrous.

You can’t drive a drag race car on the street. It’s illegal put it in a trailer and another thing do not make classic cars in the drag race cars. They need to save as classic cars.
@UKMechanic Correct, the basic laws for what is acceptable, required, permitted for any vehicle to be registered, licensed vary per each State within the USA. All have very basic, simple requirements, many for basic safety along with commonly added indicators, lights
All of the vehicles uses within "Drag&Drive" events have these basic requirements, are checked, verified along with insurance since they must also be legally registered.
Most all countries worldwide have more regulations, restrictions, limitations with vehicles and all facets, aspects within life which are actually Authoritarian Socialist/ISM, some Communist/ISM, and other forms.
The USA Federal Government, via illegal, unlawful, Unconstitutional Legislation [See A I, S8,9 for limits], Regulations, thus each State, via their Legislation have their mostly legal laws though many are also Unconstitutional via USC, some via their State Constitution. Some counties, cities, localities also have additional legislation.
However, via USC, though a State may have more restrictive legislation, regulations, they cannot legislate, regulate such a vehicle from another State with legal registration, though more lenient, cannot operate, be driven, nor a driver either.
