Great shave David.👍🏾 Happy new year. Been waiting for your review of this awesome razor. Coming from you with the statement 'the best razor ever shaved with' is so powerful!👊🏿. I believe this razor is worth it as a collector's item. It's exciting imagining owning one, and wondering what it would feel like after a year of owning it.😊 Still contemplating.🤔 Thanks again for the video. Your shave techniques sure comes through, and keeps teaching us so much
Today you don't even need to spend that much to have a CNC 316L stainless steel piece, I bought a replica of the Mamba 70 from DSCosmetic for less than 50 dollars and it's perfect and will last forever.
I have # 32 and have done multiple shaves with this razor. I like the fact that there is no blade hang over. And have had no issues changing blades with wet hands. I tried several different blades and shave soaps results were always a great shave. My best shave was with the Feather Blades which were included with the razor. YMMV 15:31
I had Matt Polish up a new Rockwell 6s. The shine is amazing and i can change the aggression. If they both were the same cost is still prefer the 6s. Great video though. It is beautiful for sure.
Great shave, looks like it did really well for you. Have considered it a few times but can’t justify it right now. Appreciate the through review, best Mike LongIslandShaving
Thanks for the review David. I went back and forth on this for a while but ended up getting it a month or so ago. Probably the best razor I have, but as others mentioned - only a bit better shave than any of my others and if I was blinded I may not be able to tell a difference. That being said, every time I look at it I have ZERO buyers remorse. It is the best looking razor I have.
i just tried the rockwell 6c for the first time today. From 2020 i have been using a Muhle grande. Both are great razors, although im inclined towards the rockwell due to adjustability. If such great products can be found under 100 bucks i dont really feel the need to spend 1000 bucks...
There is part of me that would like to get this razor. There’s part of me that is quite happy with my Rex Konsul, and feels the price makes this razor unnecessary. And, there’s part of me that is looking at a new pickup sometime in the next 2 years, and the money would be better served saving for a down payment.
Excellent shave, very efficient. I'm not sure about $1000, but I've seen high prices for razors before, so I'm not shocked. No different than high-end niche fragrances from Roja and such. I'm honestly happy enough with my Karve Overlander for now and I, like you, have very sensitive skin and have had to pay attention to a lot of things, including ingredients in shave soaps. So the Overlander is mild yet efficient enough to make effortless shaves for me and is just great. I'm looking forward to your Ariana & Evans stuff! House of Mammoth has been big for me the past few shaves with samples. Voices, Embrace, and Smash have my HEART right now!!! 😁😁😁 I'm also revisiting the water point that you made a few videos ago (where I talked about cold water) and I actually tried a hot / warm water shave after a long time...and it wasn't bad at all! However, the blade part while shaving I had to keep cold because I can't do warm / hot blades anymore. Running the blade under cold water at the bare minimum is a MUST because the shave is much less irritating and better for me. But everything else can be pretty warm and I'm fine, I just have to test that part more. Thanks man! Always love everything that you do.
Great video as always. I’m starting to think there is a point in price where you start to have diminishing returns. Big difference between $20, $100, and $250 razor… But difference between $250 and $1000 razor??? My wife would not approve. I’d be shaving outside, by my tent in the backyard. LOL
Just received mine today. It is a fine looking razor. Holding it I can feel the high-end quality of it. It is nothing like any razor I have encountered. Looking forward to my first shave with it tomorrow.
Great video! Things are only worth what you'll pay for them. The Velocity is on my wish list. Amazing razor! It's like a trophy after years of prep. I'm glad that someone has the audacity to create it. Always great content and great shaves! Shine on: butch
0:11. I have a couple razors that would beg to differ. They plow down 2 week growth with fair ease.. but that’s the difference between a mild razor and a monster lol.
The few video's I've seen about this particular razor have all said the same thing about it being a well performing razor. I can appreciate that there is a customer base that would paid that price, it just isn't for me. After the 40k foot deep dive into the rabbit hole (and too many buys later) I found the razors and blades that works best for me and how many shaves I can get per blade (the irony is the number is the same regardless of blade). If I wasn't in the soap rabbit hole to find the best ones for me I'd be more tempted to buy this. Great video putting this razor through the stress test paces.
Hey, Ohio Shaves. Great review. Got a question for you. What do you do with ingrown hairs? Do you just leave them alone or you have some treatment habit you can share with us?

Too many people get caught up on blade, gap, and think that if they can find a blade gap in a cheaper razor that is going to perform the same. Ridiculous! $1000 for a DE Safety Razor? The whole point of moving to DE Razors was to say no to the overpriced cartridge Razor cartel who have been ripping off the consumer since the 1970's. Even if I had $1000 to piss off I wouldn't buy this razor.

I can’t imagine if they make a titanium version of the same razor
I can understand that
Beautiful looking razor. However that price point is not going to get a lot of takers.
They're not trying to sell 1 million of them that's for sure
I’ll go back to Gillette cartridge’s before I’ll pay that for a razor one of my favorite smoothest razors cost $25
I understand
$1,000. Wow…..I’ll only get two of those.
🎁
Before i spend 1000$ for this i would buy the Henson Ti22 and a straight razor from Koraat 8/8 and still have 250$. The Koraat is amazing
👍
Personally, i refuse to pay more than 40€ for a razor, there are so many good quality razors for under 40€
I understand
With $1,000 I could buy all my razor blades for life.I'll stick to my work well 6s.
Great choice
While you have it, let’s do a give away 😂
🤣
Nice looking razor.....however, who's paying a $1000 for a razor? Interesting.
It's a lot of money
Rockwall 6c VS ………..
Maybe one day
I will go to bank to see if I can buy this razor in a load for 1 year 😅
It's expensive
Is this what the blue bloods shave with?
Love the design but that logo looks playschool and cheap.
Wouldnt stop me from buying one....my woman will.
I'm not sure. Doubtful.
For 1000 dollars it better shave my face for me
🤣Right
It may be good but the price is absolutely ridiculous. Obscene to price it at that level. At half the price it might be reasonable. Sorry but gouging is not cool.
It's just a review of the most expensive safety razor on the market today
You have t3 brush .... Is not like natural badger , you can t compare t3 with natural badger ...I don t understand why you don t use natural badger...and you use t3 crap
I did a pole several months ago on what type of brush do you prefer and believe it or not synthetic was 67% of all users out of 1600 votes
Basta un muhle R41 saperlo usare bene e ci si fa la barba tutti giorni. Gli altri 975€ me li godo al ristorante oppure in vacanza😂😂
Grazie per la condivisione
Into shimming? Would love to see shimming of the Leaf Thorn / Leaf Twig. Think about it .. 😉
I would be afraid to do that
Ridiculous! $1000 for a DE Safety Razor? The whole point of moving to DE Razors was to say no to the overpriced cartridge Razor cartel who have been ripping off the consumer since the 1970's. Even if I had $1000 to piss off I wouldn't buy this razor.
Right on 👍
They are sold 🤣
🤣🤣
A razor for me cant cost more than 100 euro dollar or what else..
I get it
