Apart from Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lipe and Railey, absolutely loved Koh Samui and nearly all of the attractions there. It is a very beautiful island and so is Koh Tao
Thank you for this! I'm traveling there with my man in January from Maine. We're booked an elopement package at Nora Buri. Getting married! This video really helped me plan the three week trip!
Thank you for your video. It's beautiful place! How many days do you think we need to stay to see all the island? I am hoping to have holiday with my my family. Do you think August (UK school break) is fine to go and not so rainy? I love that Marine Day Park tour.
August in Koh Samui is pretty good because it's outside the raining season (unlike in Phuket and the western coast). The island boat trip is definitely a must!
Thanks for the informative video! I would like just to ask if it is safe to eat from the Street food markets in Thailand, as well as drink the Cocktails? Did you experience any stomach issues?
Yes absolutely! The markets get so many people visiting that the food is pretty fresh. We got food poisoning twice in Thailand (over 8 weeks)… but twice in a decent touristic restaurant. If you want to avoid food poisoning I would suggest to avoid eating chicken as much as you can lol. We both got it from chicken… the night markets have so much variety of food so you just choose the ones that look good to you (the hygienic ones). Also drinks have never been a problem for us and we had some of the best cocktails at the market 🍹🍸
thank you so much for this video. i would be so grateful if you could tell me about vegan/ plant based food. Im considering visiting this amazing island, and i would like to stay for a longer period of time, and i dont know is it easy to find plant based food restourants in this city. Thank you.
There are lots of restaurants that offer vegetarian and vegan options! One of our favo places to eat for breakfast / lunch was vegan. It was called "Pure Vegan Heaven" in Lamai
Thanks for watching! 😊 Well it depends if you're looking to relax or more to see the island. We'd say 3 days is probably enough to see the highlights (and definitely do the boat tour to Ang Thong if you can!). But if you want to relax and spend some time at the pool/beach, you might want to stay a bit longer
Thanks for the informative video, I'm thinking of where to spend one week leave I accidentally took next month. Would you recommend visiting the island on December?
Hi guys, We are planning to visit Krabi and Koh Samui in November. Is it raining on November in Koh Samui? We like your videos, greetings form Croatia 🇭🇷
Koh Samui is perfect especially the beach at Bang por if you like quiet also great little restaurants there. We have recently left there after having a month on this great island. Our 3rd time there.Lovely people in the area and big 7/11.Nicely underdeveloped in Bang por
Thanks! We liked the hotel… it’s a good price / quality… good location, clean and spacious comfy rooms, and there was a swimming pool. But then we’re also budget travellers 😌
after livinig in koh samui for 5 years i can say that i havent done evrythink ther is to do i anyone is looking for a place to go on summer couples or family defently go there its money well spent and apart from the travel costs eating dosent cost that much for 2 proplr you can with 200 bath (about 25 dollars) and its an amazing island like paradise before death and sonkran is amazing
Renting a car might be good if you want to explore the island. The island is big enough that you need to have a vehicle to get around. You can also get a taxi via Grab or NaviGo App to get a driver. But it’s not always easy to find one. We had our hotel arrange a few times transportation, but it was more expensive than most places in Thailand (maybe 15US$ for a 20-30 mins ride one-way)
It's not that bad! Koh Samui doesn't experience the south-west monsoon that affects the majority of Thailand, so between May and September it's a better option for warm and dry weather than Phuket and Khao Lak on the Andaman Coast. However, you can still expect some rainy days!
We loved the vibe of Koh Phangan the most out of the 3 islands. It’s big enough that you can entertain yourself for 3- 5 days. Koh Tao is the smallest one and more for diving or snorkelling. You can do day trips but I’d recommend dividing your time between the 2-3 islands if you can!
All the attractions are spread around the island so you’ll need a scooter or rent a driver to get to them. We stayed in Lamai, which was pretty central overall. Chaweng is the busiest of all but also pretty central. Bophut or Maenam would also be good options. Kinda depends on what atmosphere you want around you. The island isn’t too big so the drive is never too long anyways
Unless you're having some symptoms of dengue fever, I wouldn't worry. We got bitten so many times in Thailand and never got it. But you never know! Try to use mosquito repellent with a high DEET
Would you prefer Koh Samui or Krabi? We cannot decide where to go from 30th December til 6th January. We like exploring an area by scooter on our own and relax at nice bars or pubs with live music.
Both are very different! Krabi is not an island, it’s mainly on the mainland (unless you get to Koh Lanta or the smaller islands). Maybe Koh Samui would be better if you’re looking for taking the scooter and discovering the pubs and nightlife. Krabi has the most beautiful nature scenery in our opinion, but Koh Samui has the real island vibes and more beaches to choose from
Very good info with added maps! But why making another typical tourist-video, added music and selfies? (Why are you guys visiting so much into taking pictures of yourselves?) Still, welcome!
I was there more than 30 years. There was much at all except Chaweng beach. A few years later, i revisited with a few friends and hotel constructions had started. Today, I can see that it is very very commercialized and perhaps not good to visit anymore. Still I am watching and deciding if I should make a short trip of a few days.
Hello Together. Video is great and informative but not up to date anymore. Koh Samui is filled with trash, tourist traps and not recommended anymore. Hotels just want to exploit you selling you weary rooms for 1k EUR per week, Bolt prices are 2x up since last year, street food on Lamai Market still great yet trash is absolutely everywhere. Every single thing now here is taegeted at tourists to sell them some stuff and quality is bad. Unfortunately it is not the same island angmore and will not come back again.
THanks for a good video but DO NOT USE The GRAND SEA DISCOVERY company for Ang Thong park. We did based on this video. interesting and scenic tour TERRIBLE food. They got the cheapest and crappiest food possible -- clearly trying to save money and not provide good food. WORST MEAL in Thailand.Only Vegetarian option was soggy vegetables, white rice, and plain spagetti out of a box. Great video clear and concise. Thank you this really helps! Definitely visit Koh Samui
Apart from Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lipe and Railey, absolutely loved Koh Samui and nearly all of the attractions there. It is a very beautiful island and so is Koh Tao
Agreed!
All your videos are excellent. The format is 1st class, so informative. Thank you so much for helping us to plan our 1st trip to Thailand....
December to February is the best time to visit, not too hot.
Yes agreed! We were there in April and it was pretty damn hot haha!
this is an incredibly good video I am visiting Koh Samui later on this year and are looking forward to it
Just came back from Phuket and Phi Phi Is. Last week and now looking forward to visit Ko Samui next summer.
Hopefully coming back in January! Thanks for the great ideas!
Thanks for such a crisp and great information that covers everything.
You guys are amazing
Thank you!

It’s raining season then so it will definitely rain from time to time!
Mangosteen is the BEST fruit in the world. 😋 ❤
Yes it's delicious!
Hello everyone from Phuket Thailand 👋
Hi .. i have 5 more days in thailand so where do you advise me to go koh tao or samui or pha ngan?
Personally, we like Koh Pha Ngan the most. But really depends on your preferences! Koh Tao is the smallest one, Koh Samui the biggest
Thank you for the info
Thanks!
Very beautiful

How would you spend a week amongst these 3 islands? I’m wondering how much time to give to each?
3 Koh Phangan, 2 Koh Tao, 2 Koh Samui in our opinion
Is 29march a good time to travel to these islands …will it be too hot or humid ?
It’s always hot and humid! But it’s generally a good time to visit
Loved your videos. Would you recommend the hotel you stayed at Aumpai luxury?
Thanks! We liked the hotel… it’s a good price / quality… good location, clean and spacious comfy rooms, and there was a swimming pool. But then we’re also budget travellers 😌
fantastic video, however, I expected you to include spas
Which music is this. Amazing video
You can find the list of music in the description below the video... the list highlights all the songs and artists!
Please tell me which one is better to stay koh samui or koh phangan?
For us, it's koh phangan! but depends on your personal taste!
Is there a coast to coast tour in Koh Samui?
Not that we've seen! Most tourists just drive around the island by scooter and explore the beaches that way
Thailandloveyou❤
Thanks! 🤩
I’ll be there for songkran fest and full moon party In April, they are at the same time
Nice we were there at exactly the same time!
Does anyone know if you need an international driver permit to rent a scooter? TY

Any tips to move around the island with a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children, 5 and 2 yo)? Is renting a car a good option or just taxi everywhere?

is it okay to visit koh samui on the month of may?
It's not that bad! Koh Samui doesn't experience the south-west monsoon that affects the majority of Thailand, so between May and September it's a better option for warm and dry weather than Phuket and Khao Lak on the Andaman Coast. However, you can still expect some rainy days!
Hi guys, thanks for such informative video. We are planning to visit koh samui from june to july. Is it worth it?
It’s worth it! But it’s definitely a touristic place. We would suggest to not only spend your time there, but also visit other places in Thailand ☺️
It will be rainy season and you can't enjoy beaches
Its great weather at that time and less tourists. Devid ypur stay and Stay at Koh Phangan and Tao and Samuiband you will have the best time!
Should you stay on Koh pangang or Koh Tao or just visit?
We loved the vibe of Koh Phangan the most out of the 3 islands. It’s big enough that you can entertain yourself for 3- 5 days. Koh Tao is the smallest one and more for diving or snorkelling. You can do day trips but I’d recommend dividing your time between the 2-3 islands if you can!
Does November end will be suitable to visit Koh Samui ?
Google
@@talon310calif still a bit humid and the wettest month
I went early October last year, the place was empty, didn't rain much though
Does someone has a recommendation where to boook a Tour which is not a boring Tourist trap. A simular one to the one showen in the Video at minute 8?
I'm afraid that all tours who go to the marine park are touristic. This is because the park is only accessible by such tours. ;)
What area is best to live to reach most attractions?
All the attractions are spread around the island so you’ll need a scooter or rent a driver to get to them. We stayed in Lamai, which was pretty central overall. You’d be experiencing more than just a stuffy nose… think of fever, joint & muscle pain, headache, vomiting,…
Please can you tell me who owns Koh samui yacht
No idea 😅
What is a decent price for a suit?
Maybe around 300 US$? depends on the quality of the material you go for
@@worldwildhearts ok awesome, how long does it take to get it ?
Really expensive one boat tour , and this for Thailand conditions

The fact that koh samui just have so many stray dogs is kinda dangerous some of them bite.

Try boracay
