The opening shot is from 5th street overlooking the intersection with Los Angeles street in the fashion district of Los Angeles. I am not this exceptional geography buff, I just looked it up on Google maps, based on the landmark Rosslyn hotel in the background.😉

I think the main thing and lore of this music video is a strange phenomenon. that is, at the beginning we can see students and aespa girls and then we can see how someone turned on the fire alarm, and everyone began to run away except for the aespa, which means they dgaf about this phenomenon. after which when they dance in the pool we notice that there is no one in the college and they dance while the glitches occur (a strange phenomenon). then I think they had a party at which time seemed to freeze as part of a strange phenomenon, which is interesting that this did not affect the aespa at all ... are they to blame for the strange phenomenon? after we can see them on the street which looks pretty apocalyptic...
but again they dgaf, they're just watching movies and dancing, pretty sus... in general, I am waiting for theorists who will completely analyze and explain the lore

I think I was in a similar frame of mind with Aespa where they weren't quite clicking with me but this whole EP has really pulled me in. Welcome to MY World is my favourite I think, but Spicy is a lot of fun!

Judging from surroundings, geography, palm trees, other cues (license plates, Los Angeles Street sign, Rosslyn Hotel) this mv and Welcome to to MY World were filmed in Southern California. The backdrop to Welcome to My World looks like the Santa Monica mountains.

Spicy is the song that really announces that Aespa is no longer playing nice, and that they hear to dominate. I feel that Aespa will now be demarcated as Pre-Spicy and Post-Spicy eras. ; )

Aespa really comes for people HARD. I was minding my business the first 2ish years of their career and then when Illusion got released I was like "boooom! I know all the songs and have ordered all the albums" within like a week, and I haven't left since.

I absolutely love this direction that Aespa are taking. I loved the bursts of electric guitar in Girls, I loved the mellow Creepiness of Welcome to MY world, and I'm Unhappy, and I LOOVE this gritty synth rock song.
Something you pointed out is something I noticed too though: this could *Easily* be an ITZY song. Especially the second verse rap was 100% ITZY, especially when they're saying "I'm bad", Sounds like a Yuna line. :p
I'm not saying they're infringing on anything here, you can't own a "Style" of music, and like I said, I really really like this song, but it's a funny "cross-over". Especially since NMIXX were accused of "copying" Aespa when O.O had switch ups in the song.
I hope Aespa continue down _This_ style of comeback/concept. They can still keep the "Ae" mythology and everything if they want, but I'm glad the songwriters are experimenting with more "typical" song structures.
These last few releases have really increased my interest in the group. It also doesn't hurt that Winter reached through the screen and slapped me in the face when she had her "dark eye make-up and messy bun" styling.
