This has the same bombastic appeal of Next Level, Girls, or Savage, and I LOVE THAT. They had some nice mellow stuff recently, but I like Aespa best when they are kicking my ass.

I absolutely agree with you, I feel like being attacked by Winter! Usually I prefer short hair on her but this red messy/wavy hair is something else! Everything from her, the tone, expression, vocal are out of this world, what a DRAMA! I am obsessed.

I feel like the girls really took those opinions/comments during their first 2 years and made it as their driving force to improve. Or they really just needed that experience plus continuing practice to get them at this point. Like specially for Winter and Karina. I remember you commenting about Winter's stage presence before which I kinda agree. Specially those kinda blank stares, BUT LOOK AT HER NOW and I knew it, at the back of my mind, she's gonna come and get you. Then we also have people saying Karina shouldn't be the main dancer but look at how she eats those choreo. So proud of their growth, individually and as a group. Giselle and Ning are also doing great. I love this title track too, but for me still kinda tie with Savage for now.
this comeback is so shinee-coded for me... I really think SM is positioning them to be their front-runner GG and cultivating the girls' image for being capable of so many different things. this entire thing is so impressive.

I love how the pre-chorus evolves - it's not that unusual for choruses (love what they did with that too) but I'm not used to seeing it with pre-choruses and this one feels so natural, perfectly suited to the song.

I feel that my initial theory was right. They're in Hallucination Quest like in Savage but now in Real World setting, they fight against the deep fakes pretending to be them that create the drama and causing trust issues and confusing the girls who's who, Winter is the mirror of Karina but an evil version. all like Ning ning is the evil version of Giselle. in the katana fight scene Karina faces Winter and Ningning so it seems that the group is divided into 2 Winter and Ningning vs Karina and Giselle, remember the instructions given at the start of the mv by doing the opposite is the only way to escape, you'll notice that that's what they did to wake up from the hallucination thus, breaking the mirror that they once was trapped in. I also like the symbolism of the vinyl record in the beginning then within the mv where they also mentioned breaking the cycle of trauma plus the fact that it is an analog type of sound storage in contrast to their concept within digital realm. I do believe that every mv, track videos, and short films they all tied together. This is why I love aespa so much coz they tickle my ears and brain just like red velvet although I'd say I understand aespa's lore more than rv. I LOVE. ❤👏👏👏
