hey sorry, I just saw this! I do like the image from the cp3, but I'd go with the Sony GMs over the Zeiss. I'd rather have 2-3 GMs for the price of 1 cp3. I'm also more of a run-and-gun shooter, so having AF is more important to me than any slight image quality difference. I had this lens for a few weeks working on a commercial project, so I figured I'd upload test footage for anyone interested.
the cp.3 has a crisp, modern look without having that too "digital" look. I'm currently debating on the 50mm. Thanks for this test footage!
Are the CP.3s with PL mount? If so, what type of pl to e mount adaptor are you using? And does the adaptor cover full frame or do you need to crop in?
They make the cp.3s in sony e-mount, which is what I was using! It covers full frame too so no there is no crop
Do you feel like the image you are getting with this cinema lens is really different than sony GM lenses?
