@@HYDROPONICS-INDOORS Thank you so much! I hope to see more and more people growing together in the future. 🙂 Getting back to our roots in new and innovative ways!
Another great video. Thinking about making a setup like yours to grow some strawberries. To this point I have done romaine lettuce using the kratkey method. Keep up the good work
That's awesome, hit me up if you have any question on the system, with that said I'd never tried growing strawberries before, let me know how that goes? I thing it would be a good idea to try a test run with strawberries in your Kratky, to dial in ph, nutrients and ppm's..... Aloha Dean
Hello!!! My name is Charles, I'm from Brazil, from the state of Rio de Janeiro. I loved your videos and the care and technique you use. I was curious about the power of the light or LED that you use?
Hello Charles, and thanks for your kind words. About my grow lights, it a 150 watt LED grow light made by MARS HYDRO model# TSL2000 and the size 12in. by 48in. And I do have a smaller one that also made by MARS HYDRO and its a 60 watt grow light, size 12in. by 15in. I run both on timer 12hours on/12hours off. any good led light would work fine, just make sure its big enough cover the growing area... I hope this helps you. Aloha Dean
@@charlestavares9390 Hi Charles, I keep my lights 12" to 18" in. above the top of the plants, to answer your question "yes" grow lights get really HOT depending on watts _ to close and it could burn your leaves and to far the plant will stretch. hope this helps you buddy and have a bless day. Aloha Dean✌
does it even make sense to grow them in a batch this close to one another? seems like most of the plants didnt get enough light because some of them grew exponentially faster.
Hi and thanks for the questions, The reason for growing them so close to each other is to show the world how to "grow in tiny spaces", like apartment, condo or Senior home. Not every one has a yard to garden in! some seniors might be in a wheel chair and not able to go outside, but now by show this awesome way to grow food indoors give every person a chance to grow no mater what the age! NOW as for lighting, If you have sunny window or balcony it would be best, I don't have this option so, I use grow lights and yes some plants will grow faster then others. That red basil is sharing a small grow light with a cucumber plant, with that said I'm Retired and live on a strict budget and cant afford to buy bigger lights right now. "I look at it in a positive way, my plants might not be perfect but it will STILL FEED me, my family and my friends=feeding your mind body and soul. And don't forget "cultivate kindness one seed at a time" Aloha my friend Dean

@HYDROPONICS-INDOORS thank you very much for your answer! and the distance from the led to the cultivation depending on the watt of the led?
