This sends a clear message to any band who wants to do covers... Muse aren't particularly ones for covers, pretty much all the songs I hear from them are their own, and performing a cover certainly isn't a bad thing... but when you do it, do it in your own original style. This is the same song, same chords, same lyrical flow, but you can love both versions of the song individually rather than comparing which is better. That's something that can't be said for a lot of covers.

Me and my high school jazz band ended up playing this song and I play the piano. I went full out and started singing along to this song and everyone was staring at me because they didn’t know this song. We played the old blues version but I knew the Muse one too and everyone loved it when I played the Muse version.
Muse will go down as one of the all time greats when it’s all said and done! They are such an awesome and super talented band who are even better in concert.
