Out of all the actors that I expected to have completely perfect chemistry, Nic Cage and Pedro Pascal were not one of those pairings. But hell do they *work!* I absolutely love this movie
Paddington and Paddington 2 are why I spent WAY to much money in citrus cause my kid said we just HAD to make marmalade. He didn't like it. In hindsight I could have just bought a jar first.
I have no idea how Nic fuckin Cage and Pedro fuckin Pascal became the world's greatest power couple, but god damn their chemistry in this movie is incredible.
Pedro Pascal is killing Hollywood rn, he has charged the big screen with thing like GOT, This, The Last of Us, Mandolorian ect, can’t get enough of him
My friend binged most of Nic cage's movies in preparation to see this and when we saw it in theatres it was just constant laughter and walking out the theatre quoting the movie while looking like two madmen
I'm so happy to see you reacting to this. Just watched Unbearable Weight yesterday and was absolutely blown away. Don't get me wrong, I love everything with Nic Cage, even the [insert polite word for dumpster fires], but this one was really brilliant. Comedy gold and quite heartwarming. Great chemistry with Pedro Pascal as well :D
I have been waiting so long for you boys to watch as I think Pedro is astonishing in this (as is Nic Cage) and not actually father travelling with a child!!!!!
@@MrDyl666 Oh yeah, they mentioned it on their shows ranking right? Smth abt he only really loves two kinds of content: the masterpieces of course and the absolute HORRIBLE ones that are so bad it becomes entertaining
YEEEEESSS! I’ve been hoping that they would react to this perfectly meta comedy gem! The scene of Nic Cage being woken up by having Tiffany Hadish saying “ACTION” was so funny I almost couldn’t breathe.🤣🤣🤣 And Pedro Pascal was freaking amazing in this movie, and that fact that like his character he grew up loving Nic Cage’s movies is a huge bonus. I really hope that in real life this gives Nicolas Cage a massive career comeback (not that he ever went away). And he deserves it because he’s Nic FUCKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING(WOO) CAGE! And for those wondering, “Nicky Cage” is designed to look how he did (not from one of his movies) but from an interview he did in the U.K. almost 30 years ago when he was promoting Wild At Heart. He was crazier than even Tom Cruise was when he did that Oprah interview.🤣🤣🤣
Not gonna lie when Nick Cage starts making out with himself, I screamed, "Gaaaaaahhh!!!" and threw my phone across the room. I wasn't ready for that. And when he grabs the back of his own head I laughed
I’ve not seen many Nick Cage movies, and I still absolutely loved this movie. I feel like almost none of the meta aspects were lost on me, despite my minimal knowledge. It’s just done very well.
I went into watching this movie without knowing anything about it. My husband bought it and I just said ok let’s watch it. It was such a good movie! Nicholas Cage is back baby! (Not that he went anywhere)
I watched this movie high on acid and the acid scenes had me absolutely rolling. Never seen the experience captured more perfectly than in this moment: 20:23
I love seeing the Pasadena City Hall I live a few minutes away. I have a love hate relationship with it, I love seeing it in person it’s beautiful but if I’m down there it’s usually for a terrible reason.
Having only seen one Nic Cage movie before this (National Treasure), I thought this movie was such a fun ride. They focused on telling a great story and making memorable characters -- when it easily could've just been nothing but Nic Cage references for 2 hours.
cool, while we are waiting for Nicolas Cage as vampire, and Pedro Pascal in the next episode of The Last of Us and of course I love to see how different Pedro Pascal in every movies/series he's in (he always play a random characters - great actor indeed)
Omg, the wall scene… That exact thing happened to us at Hampton Coliseum in ‘95 or ‘96! 😂 Only we had to get 8 tripping Phish heads over a massive security fence which was blocking our way back to the hotel. It was all very dramatic, especially for the last man, who had no one to stand on for a boost. When we finally got everyone up and over and were celebrating our hard won victory, I looked to the left and saw our friend Chris standing at an opening in the fence about 40 feet away, laughing and shaking his head.
I literally watched this all the way through yesterday with my mom lol I always feel asleep or something came up and had to stop watching. Such a great reaction as always! Love this movie
For myself when I thought about the question what is a top Nic Cage movie, the film that hit me after thinking about a bunch of movies was the 2002 film Windtalkers. Please consider this movie for Reaction.
I took my now fiancé to see this, and she has literally not seen anything with him, and she loved it! We were both laughing, and it was interesting to see her perspective since she had no reference point for who this guy was😂
Saw this in the theatre and it really didn’t land for me. But, I thoroughly enjoyed you guys enjoying it so much. I liked Nic in Moonstruck and The Rock but to me he just seems to play Nic Cage. Pedro, however, seems to better become different characters. He is so great when he does scenes where he plays a bad actor Like here and in The Bubble ( a bad movie). Very fun reaction, guys! You may have convinced me rewatch it as well as some other Cage movies.
This movie was such a lovely surprise. Initially I wanted to go to the theatres, hoping to watch Pedro Pascal on the big screen. But I ended up watching Pig a couple days before I went and I just LOVED Cage in it. So I walked out of the theatres with a great urge to watch more Nicolas Cage movies. And ofc, Pascal & Cage were TERRIFIC on-screen together. Absolutely can't wait to watch The Last of Us, and watch more Cage movies.
to be fair, i know nic cage, just from like.. pop culture? never really seen any of his films apart from maybe national treasure when i was younger and i still really enjoyed this movie Nevermind, i somehow forgot he was literally ghost rider, i fucking loved that movie. No wonder i have positive feelings when i think of nic cage

Hey I have a Suggestion. React to Transformers Prime.
👍
Pedro Pascal is actually a Nick Cage fan.😁
That was literally the best Nic Cage impression I have ever heard
I’m not even a big Nick cage fan but I knew that was spot on
@@heze2819 Honestly I had to double check that it wasn't a cameo voiceover lmao
@@SkibidiDogRizz - Same, I was like 'wait, is he actually doing that voice? That's spot on.'
That's the best Calvin impression I've ever heard Nic Cage do
Nothing beats Abed.
Out of all the actors that I expected to have completely perfect chemistry, Nic Cage and Pedro Pascal were not one of those pairings. But hell do they *work!* I absolutely love this movie
We need more of them together, they work so well together
The Unbearable Weight... Everything Everywhere... Bullet Train...
Action comedy is what the audience needs right now.
As much as I enjoyed the other two, Everything Everywhere was in a different league.
Calling "Everything Everywhere" and action comedy is selling that movie WAY too short
@@zeroomens9438 Ok, so action-comedy-drama.
Well now we need Paddington & Paddington 2 reactions
Absolutely
100th like 👍🏻
Still waiting, they really are top tier. Love 2 so much
Paddington and Paddington 2 are why I spent WAY to much money in citrus cause my kid said we just HAD to make marmalade. He didn't like it. In hindsight I could have just bought a jar first.
I'd love Paddington reactions
Ricks joy for Nicolas cage is so fun to watch it’s like him watching holt
This movie....Mandalorian...The Last of Us.....Pascal is fucking killing it lately
Yes 2023 is Pascal's year.
It came out a few years ago, but there is a really good Pedro Pascal Scifi Western film called Prospect, check it out.
@@arnodk2852 I shall
@@arnodk2852 ooh I saw it the other day and it is great!
also Pedro Almodovar's short with Pedro and Ethan Hawke coming out in May!
From Calvin's impression, to Rick's enthusiasm, Eric's laughter, and Aaron's classic emotions at the end of the film... this is top tier Blind Wave.
I was surprised and delighted by the amount of Pedro Pascal meta in this as well - a lot of these locations were shot for Game of Thrones
Pedro Pascal has such teddy bear energy, I love it!
And a Golden Retriever energy as well.
Mandy is legitimately incredible and feels like an acid trip and a 70s hard rock album cover congealed into a revenge movie.
Was going to say the same
Also it must be said: No one remembers "The chainsaw" from Mandy, they remember the insane axe/sword/spear weapon forged by Cage's own hands
ok... WHY TF was that Nick Cage impression so good!?
I have no idea how Nic fuckin Cage and Pedro fuckin Pascal became the world's greatest power couple, but god damn their chemistry in this movie is incredible.
Pedro Pascal is killing Hollywood rn, he has charged the big screen with thing like GOT, This, The Last of Us, Mandolorian ect, can’t get enough of him
I’m not sure you understand what big screen means Cause all things listed are silver screen
Who does Pedro NOT have chemistry with? Everyone loves him.
Bo katan
That isn’t chemistry in acting. Not how that works at all.
@@SnailHatanstill, I feel like both statements are true.
Man I love this film and it made me weirdly emotional at the end. Javi was such a sweet little bean I just wanted to give him hug.
This is easily one of the most underrated movie of 2022
A moment was taken to applaud Calvins Nick Cage impersonation
Now I gotta watch Paddington 2.
I felt this way about “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish”… it made me want to be a better man 😉
You should, it’s so good
i watched it after this one. Genuenly a Mesterpiece
It's legitimately amazing
Probably in my top ten of all time.
Just so fucking wholesome.
My friend binged most of Nic cage's movies in preparation to see this and when we saw it in theatres it was just constant laughter and walking out the theatre quoting the movie while looking like two madmen
We need a buddy action cop movie starring Pedro and Nick
I am so glad Rick has seen The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari I love that film so much it’s basically a fever dream
I saw it once in a film class and it really did feel like I was in a fever dream the whole time.

The thing with Paddington 2 is that is the only (or one of the only) movies to be 100% Certified Fresh on RT. Apparently it really is that good.
A little over three minutes in and Rick is already hysterically laughing...this is gonna be a good one 🤣
I have been waiting so long for you boys to watch as I think Pedro is astonishing in this (as is Nic Cage) and not actually father travelling with a child!!!!!
Nic cage is so genuine im not shocked that rick is in love with him he loves genuine bad stuff
making me wanna rewatch their reaction to The Room haha, but in all seriousness, this film was a lot of fun to watch.
Nic cage is legit a good actor tho? like sure he overacts alot but he has alot of range in his acting ability.. i wouldnt call him "bad"
Nicholas cages is far from a bad actor if that’s what you’re trying to get it. He’s fantastic.
@@ducksauce9187 no hes a great actor whos been in some very bad films is my point. I think rick likes that

Nic Cage should’ve won an Oscar for this performance 😂 the most normal and most insane I’ve seen him act in one movie.

Criminally underrated and underwatched! Also, please watch Paddington and Paddington 2!
The concept is excellent. The execution is somehow even better.

The movie you guys didn't know was "Guarding Tess". It is my favorite Nick Cage movie.
I would lose it if we had a Nick Cage cameo in the coming season of the Mandalorian lmao
In case other people haven't, I wish to express my appreciation for the edits around Eric's choice of Sam Neill 😂
Who is Eric's real option?
Best part
