You're welcome! I think MRS is important and is the best way to start climbing. SRS is and great way to climb and can help you save your body and gives you many more options in climbing.
@@BinoH I realise you cater for newbies but I think you're the guy to give an overview of how professionals climb in terms of when they use MRS and when they use SRS .. there are some older die hard MRS folk who perhaps use SRS for ascending and younger SRS purists (devotees). Only once have I heard someone suggest when SRS is best employed and when to switch to MRS. If I recall it was SRS for spars and MRS for wide branching trees. Anyway, your comparison of SRS and MRS pretty much left me thinking SRS is the way to go. Care to comment on that or better still to do a video on how to combine both if at all? Newbies could then know what the end game is.
@@tuberider1171 To be honest I would rather climb on SRS but I believe that MRS is a vital part of tree care and should be learned first. When it comes to which system to use while you climb there is no right or wrong answer. That question falls on the person climbing what makes their climb better.
Honest question why so complicated? Use your body weight and foot-lock technique to pull on the rope and use a prusik-lift to push the knot. It saves a lot of energy and is also good for tight spaces
True that's a good option. I just stripped it down to the more basic ways. Some people may use a prussik loop or a food ascender. All good ways to enter a tree. Thank you for sharing!
Abrazoo
Can you give input on using a lanyard at the same time as any of your thrusting methods such at around the 35:30 minute mark in this video ruclips.net/video/p_jpgDKEvTc/видео.html It appears to probably only useable on small trees
thanks for the comment..I just checked out the video using the lanyard.. looks like a great idea to save energy body thrusting where it's practical to do so
I've seen it done before but personally I find it easier to just body thrust without a lanyard. Having an open mind and having options can really help you in climbing.
Actually was just teaching my daughter this afternoon how to tend slack on my RADS and inversely proper brake line feed. Cheers from Texas 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Nice, take care!
Your videos are very interesting and very practical for learning to climb. Thank you !!! Ciao from Italy..
Thank you, Take care!
Thanks Bino. Useful videos.
❤❤❤
Thank you!
Good topic Thank u for the effort!
Thank you!
Very helpful. The third example pertains to me , TY. 👍 MRS, the only way to fly! 🇨🇦🇺🇸
Glad you liked it, Take care!
Great summary.
Thank you!
Awesome explanation. Also great reminder why I don't like MRS.
Thank you, Yes it is a lot harder than SRS.
But Climbing in the Tree itself is much harder with SRS
@@SchmittisTreeJourney In an ideal set up sure. However depending on your MRS set up a bunch of energy can be lost in friction.
Very helpful. Will try. I’ve been having problems getting off the ground.
Stay relaxed and don't forget to breath. You can do it!
@@BinoH it worked!
@@tommyers2166 great to hear! Take care!
good job...mantap😀
thank you!
@@BinoH no thanks😀👍❤
Good stuff as usual!
Thank you!
Bino and Noah . thanks again . having only climbed just MRS I just wonder why bother at all given the advantages of SRS as you showed in another video

You’re putting more friction on the rope using your feet

Sorry to hear that, it would be nice if you were able to buy where you're at. Thank you for the compliment. Take care!
BUEN VIDEO BINO... ?? Why don't make videos in Spanish?
You could translate the video with closed captions. I think it's a new feature. Hope this helps.
@@alotl1kevegas860 thank you , I will check the info..God bless you. 😀

I don't speak Spanish but you do have that sub title option.
