Hi Bino, thank you. An idea for a next video maybe: Swivels, round eye vs. triangular eye, where to use them, where not, ratings, maintenance. Thank you very much.
U mean to break the little spring loaded retention pins, that hold the main pin in place? If that's been tested, I'm pretty sure they don't provide the results. Might have to send one in to How Not To... channel to break test, although I don't think they'd be able to test that, with their current set up.
@@BRENDANTHEREDyeah, the pin. I mean if gate loading is the main reason to use a quickie over say a kong screw lock, you could load that pin on the quickie the same way you could a carabiner. So why isn't it rated?

I like these discussions about stuff that beginners deal with but nobody ever talks about. Rope and various aspects. This was a good one.
Thank you!
These discussions was helpful for the beginner. Thanks Bino!
Glad it was helpful!
Enjoyed the video. Thorough explanation of carabiners.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice work Bino!
Thanks a lot!
Most excellent information 👍🏼
Thanks Joe!

Thank you take care!
Have they rated how much force it takes to push that quickie pin out?

Maybe I misunderstood when Bino said minor axis . Is that the rating for a hit to the pin? It doesn't sound like it.
@@kristmadsen Oh I see what you mean, quickie is rated for 13 kN crossloaded, and 30kN oriented the ideal way.

Why can't you use the zig zag SRT by itself? Why does it require the chicane part?
I believe it works a lot like a Rope Wrench to a friction cord.
