Thanks. Senior citizen age 75 and almost everyday I do a 20 ft tree rope climb for exercise. Use 1/2 inch rope or 3/8 . Use tree saddle or rock climbing saddle. Use rollnlock for ascender and notch foot ascender. Or if I want upper body exercise use rollnlock, grigri and pulley. Am only climbing 20 feet front yard tree but I consider it to be a daily adventure. Thanks for your post.

I enjoy Bino’s content delivery camera work but i too enjoy all the Monday morning quarterbacks who curiously omit a plug for their RUclips channel….because they don’t have one 🤣

Weaver cougar saddle was my first saddle and to be honest one of the most comfortable. That might be another option for people to look at if they are testing the waters. I sometimes regret the amount of $ I’ve spent on unnecessary equipment 😂

Cool thanks for sharing, The thing is that some equipment lasts a long time so you might use it on certain climb or project.

Edelrid treerex is about 500 and ive seen it down around 370 sometimes. Very lightweight for a prosaddle apparently. It can be a little less than optimal if your lugging a large bucking saw. Its quite suitable for typical ground saws and obviously climbing saws. For me it is very comfortable and works great. I reccomend it though ive not used other saddles enough to really compare it to.

Petzl avao is the cheapest "modern" harness. Some people don't like it but i haven't had any problems with it.
If your nuts are getting crushed, you have the back straps on the leg loops too tight.

You missed rope bag and kit bag, proper way to store equipment etc

Good point we were doing our best have least expensive options. What I used to do was when my sons updated their back pack I would use them as climbing bags.

@@BinoH that’s a good idea, I recently purchased a mountain designs 120L duffle roller for around $189 on sale
Your paying a bit more but you don’t have to lug all your equipment, my husqvana rope bag fits in there with my harness and everything
