my absolute favorite build is GWM Pala-barian Karlach. 2 Barbarian + 10 Paladin of Vengeance really came through as my ultimate damage dealer. Things got even better when I got that Act 3 Amulet because my AC on her skyrocketed.
Bg3 I don't even know how to describe because so many builds work. I'm definitely going to keep making straightforward builds that don't require anything to work and be viable.

Good vid mate, really well presented. I am late to BG3 and currently in Act 1. I did pick the same build as yours but can already see i am not using it as efficiently. I was also thinking I might try to become an oath breaker, i have heard it can be good. I am currently level 4 but after watching this I think I need to go see Withers. Look forward to more vids.

I intentional throw in Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre, Vagrant Story, etc.. stuff into whatever I can. My profile is the Vagrant Story Rood Inverse, so I'm wearing my heart with this channel.
I know you wanted to show a barebones paladin but this kind of gameplay forces you to rest 150 times by the time you complete the game (and this is not a joke). Bardadin also shines more for vengeance (I did 3/9 vengeance/ssb my last honour death march modded run) because you can go control and retain big dmg (helm of arcane acuity + ring of mystic scoundrel) or just go destruction with Shar's spear or Orin's weapons.
Playing with a full party you use less resources, but also the game floods you with food so even if you run a party build that requires a ton of long rest it's fine.
@@wayfaringnomad Did you ever play the FFT v1.3 insane difficulty mod? That and Tactics ogre reborn were my Jam before I played BG3 I've gotta say BG3 might be my new all time fav game. I've had it a month and stuck 180 hours into so far 😆
I've only done the wol mod, but I'm in the same boat where bg3 has entered into my top games of all time. I'm still hopeful for a modern hardware release for fft, remaster or otherwise.
I was wondering that too, afaik you can only pick one as cleric. Are you using a mod perhaps? (90% sure it doesn‘t matter, but I play on pc. In the video it‘s pc too, which is why i‘m guessing it’s a mod)
@wayfaringnomad nice. To me polearm master is just more consistent on average than gwm. 2 attacks with a situational third is worse than 3 attacks with a situational 4th plus you can smite with your pommel strike. And it fixes your initiative with a character that will usually have 10 dex or less.

This game is just madness when it comes to combinations to play. It's why I'm doing my go to simple builds before we go down the rabbit hole...

I incorporated a little bit of this in my oath of ancient paladin I wanted to see if it would work in it.Honestly does work

How are you able to pick a diety for you're paladin I play on xbox and it doesn't give me an option

I prefer polearm master instead of gwm.
I'm going to show my dragoon build that'll utilize that, great feat! 👍
