- Опубликовано: 9 фев 2025
- Adapted from the beloved literary classic, THE CALL OF THE WILD vividly brings to the screen the story of Buck, a big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life is turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Yukon during the Gold Rush of the 1890s. As the newest rookie on a mail delivery dog sled team--and later its leader--Buck experiences the adventure of a lifetime, ultimately finding his true place in the world and becoming his own master.
As a live-action/animation hybrid, THE CALL OF THE WILD employs cutting edge visual effects and animation technology in order to render the animals in the film as fully photorealistic--and emotionally authentic--characters.

The CGI takes me right out of the money. They might as well have animated it or got real animals.
@@AmongUs-mb4qx Why not? I could tell from the trailer the film would not be great for me and many others. Maybe that's why it was a flop.
Yeah the cgi is a little meh at first but it gets way better and the movie itself is still good
I haven’t read Call of the Wild in about 12 years but I still remember the description at the beginning of some guys choking and beating Buck until his eyes were bloodshot-that’s where I learned the definition of the word.
Anyway here’s a happy adventure for the whole family
There’s also the fun depictions of dogs fighting till they’re torn bloody. oh, and the lighthearted bit at the end where silly ol’ buck hunts down and slaughters the entire tribe that killed his masters.

You guys are saying you're concerned about how there are only CGI dogs and not real ones while i'm sitting here wondering how the heck they made this into a family movie after reading the book
*and also worried on how much they changed the storyline*
Seems like they took out every instance of abuse and dogs fighting and centered the plot around a wanderlust Harrison Ford instead of and abducted Buck.
Just from lookin at the trailer they changed ALOOOOT. Now forit does say *based* on the book but idk chief this might be a bit to much.
I read the book when I was a kid, but absolutely none of the content in this trailer rings a bell at all

Anyone who's read the book should know this shouldn't be a family movie
THANK YOU
This shouldn't be a movie at all. Another nail in the coffin of reading. Now no one will want to read this GREAT book.
Disney bought out Fox so it's no surprise it's a family movie.
Not even the original Call of the Wild did the book justice.
Marcus Holder tbh that’s why I think they chose to make all the animals animated.. the book is so dark and messed up. Putting real dogs through some of the scenes I remember would probably be very difficult, even if they only animated the worst parts.. cuz so much of it was those kind of parts lol. But it already looks like they’ve changed it drastically
Man, Harrison Ford is aging gracefully, don't you think?
Love the guy.
Movies are better with CGI dogs because then that means there will be more action
I think he is too. It’s hard to believe he is in his late 70’s, but still taking on physically demanding roles. Ford is a good example of how even though people get older on the outside, inside they may feel as young as ever.
He looks his age, like someone in their 70s to 80s. Who have you been around that looks like that in their fifties or sixties?

This movie was AMAZING. And for anyone complaining about the CGI, it’s because the dogs were abused in the movie, they couldn’t get real dogs to be abused like that. We read the book in 6th grade and my class was somewhat shocked at how gruesome the scenes were.
I don’t mind the CGI; it’s still more expressive than the new Lion King. But the plot makes me upset. It’s nothing like the book.
Juliet F I agree with you entirely, this was meant to be a gritty bleak character study of Buck but it’s been toned down to the same level as the remake of ,”Where the Red Fern Grows”, it has its mortality moments with the grandfather and Dan and Ann.

Eragon, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, etc. Nobody wants to re-enact every moment of the film, they just don't want the book to be ruined.
As for the CGI, it does look stupid. Why couldn't they just use real dogs? Obviously for stunts and whatever they could use CGI, but for the whole movie? That's just dumb.
You sound like you have some serious self confidence issues, with your whole "hyper criticism thing." Maybe you feel criticized a lot? Ikd man, maybe get that checked out.

I get your point but I wasn’t complaining because it looks too tame
I was complaining because it looks like entire story is changed, and sure I hope this movie would be good hell I’ll love it if this movie is good, I don’t care about cgi dogs I don’t care about how disturbing it’ll be, I just care about them following the story, and it seems unlikely in the trailer, who knows maybe 2nd trailer will change my mind, but for now I’m just worried
I wish i have ability to forget, so i could watch it all over again. THIS MOVIE is Beautiful!
Call of the CGI... They should've just CGI'd the whole thing really. Who Framed Roger Rabbit looked like a better merger of live action and animated.
Even COOL WORLD, as much of a monstrosity that film is, looks more authentic than this!
Have. You. Read. The. Book. Everyone who made the movie would be arrested and most likely In prison for life if they used real animals.
They just gotta animate it tbh, but WFRR is the goat
Who Framed Roger Rabbit is one of the best movies of all time, I don't know what you're talking about.
80's cinema was 1000 % times better than this crap.
“We’ve made the Iditarod Run in less than 12 parsecs.”
Love Harrison Ford, but looks like there’s too much CGI, as usual.
“I’ve never seen him believe in anything... as much as he believes in you”, dang bro that’s deep...
no
This new Hideo Kojima title looks incredible
Sled doge simulator xD
"I came up here because I didn't want to be around anyone." Isn't that Harrison Ford in real life?
I just watched this movie for the first time and it was so much better than I had hoped it would be! You pretty much get used to the CGI after a couple of minutes. It was done well and a great way to add some subtle expression and emotions to the dogs and wolves. The first half of the storyline with the whole owner to owner thing kind of gave me Black Beauty vibes. The music and scenery is also very beautiful, from northern light skies to arctic planes and mountain landscapes. I truly enjoyed this movie.
the stench of cgi is unbearable. -3/10 stars.
Buck: "I RUVV UUU!"
Harrison "I know"
Buck is a straight up killer. This looks like a kid’s movie
Exactly. And thats what frees him to answer the Call.
Disney bought out fox. So I already knew this movie would be a family one. It’s rated pg too and I’m disappointed, I thought they’d try to make this one like the book this time round.
This hit me right in the feels!! Beautiful movie indeed. Totally worth watching for me
the stench of cgi is unbearable. -3/10 stars.
I watched it and it's a WONDERFUL MOVIE! the landscapes, snow, nature... just EXCELLENT! Recommended for anyone who loves movies about dogs and nature.
I just kept saying "no" involuntarily over and over again
Buck is cute u can’t deny it no matter how “bad” the cgi is
The good thing about this movie is no animals are harmed.
actually ive seen this movie and buck gets shot
@@pedrowong3172 well that's true. 😆
But its cgi
@@pedrowong3172 why did you spoil the movie??
No animals are in it.
What an amazing movie. Wonderfull film making. Such a feelgood movie. Hatsoff to this film makers
I don’t think any of the scenes were filmed outdoors.
Film outside and risk Harrison Ford getting a little cold? Ridiculous! Spending tens of millions on CGI was the only rational choice.
A few were...in Santa Clarita
@Pattarapol P that would be a blessing at this point
Scenes were filmed in British Columbia,
@@sedna1011 Principal photography on the film began in late-September 2018 in Los Angeles.[15] The film was not shot on location, extensive use was made of CGI. Some of it was also shot on sets in Los Angeles and some exteriors in Santa Clarita, California.
Finally they’ve made it: “CGI: The Movie”
“Chewie... ah ha I mean Buck, we’re home”
I believe we all want that deep desire to venture out and be adventurous.
One of the best movie. Pet lovers don't miss this movie
