    Yep, it would appear that flame height is a factor in boil speed.
    Makes sense in that the flame 'sweet spot' will be the best place for the most effective heat transfer.

    I too would be interested the different heights to alcohol consumption to boil time ratios of just the small tin burners.

    Trangia might be more fuel efficient. That wide open wick burns I think more alcohol same time and because of that it is faster?

      Good point. I really should weight the burners before and after to check the fuel consumption. I think I'll run the burn test again.

    Interesting and useful video, but your inch-to-mm conversion are 10x off -- 400 mm should be 40 and 280 should be 28.
