I really think the vid was great! They all are though. Sad about your weather. We have had a bad hot and dry summer here. Need rain badly. Hate to see fish struggling. Take care. Cheers.
Adrian the reason why the Haibo’s drag clicker sounds so different from the BMC is due to the design. The Haibo uses a flute ring like the bmc but instead of a cam and spring style to create the clicking sound it uses a very thin leaf spring similar to what is used in spinning reels. I much prefer the cam and spring style as daiwa and Shimano both use this style for their clicker designs. Hope this info helps! Cheers Adrian!
Thanks for sharing. Very keen on this reel as a secondary heavier reel to supplement my Acura 50, and to cast 2.8g to 6g. Your opinion is greatly valued
Looks like a nice cheap reel. I use the same rod and a Tsurinoya Spirit Fox 50 alot this summer, also a greate combo, I love that rod . Good video as always . Cheers
Very nice, personally I find that even the static "FTB" knockoff brakes seem to work better for me. I think the orientation to the spool of the magnets vs. for example a "magtrax" style system just is superior for my casting stroke at the very least. Now that the price of this reel is not absurdly overpriced as it has been up until recently I think I might pull the trigger to add it to my collection. I will also mention that your video's information and your opinions expressed have influenced my decision to most likely purchase this "Brownie"!!!!!!😀😀😀😀😀😁😁😁😁
Mine came with Japanese bearings installed and a baggie with 6 extra Japanese bearings . I personally believe that's why mine is smoother than all my others .
Thank you for this - looks like a fab reel casting up to 30g. Just ordered one. New to BFS and recently got the Kastking Zephur. Still getting used to it but getting there. Great to have the option of heavier lures as I love bass fishing on the lures.
Just ordered one of these to take on holiday . For £30 paired with a £40 rod it doesn’t matter if I loose it which is a real possibility for me on holiday
I would say 15gr. It’s not that the reel will not throw higher but it’s whether the shallow spool will take it. You may have to use more end tension to throw heavier lures as the brakes might not cope. It did cope with 12gr though so it will go higher.
The commando is a lot smoother and comes with a spare deep spool. On the minus side you will need to add some N52 5mm x 0.5mm magnets on top of the others as the brakes are a little weak. The finish can also easily be scratched/stained. The BMC has a better braking system and the finish is tougher. It boils down to whether you wish to add magnets and want an extra deep spool.
Does anyone know if this is a better reel over over the Soloking Acrua? Ignoring the deep spool you can get. The Acrua has a bearing replacing with bushing because of saltwater use. That bearing was tough to replace and would rust? Is that 100 rated for saltwater?
It all depends what size fish you are after. The rod of your choosing as all it needs is to be washed off after each trip and reel wise I would go for a Tsurinoya Dark Wolf Ultra, Genius or Elf for a standard sized reel or the Seasir Commando for a slightly bigger reel with more drag and a shallow plus deep spool. Spray them off after each trip paying particular attention to the spool lip and level wind.
@@MrEastside619Fishing yes it would. Its brakes are the best of the bunch but it doesn’t come with a deep spool so this is why I didn’t say this one. If it holds enough line for you then yes. It’s a great reel.
Just checked the price on Aliexpress unfortunately now selling for £54.87 + VAT am looking for a new reel wonder what you think of it at this price is it still good value
I think the Acura HICC 50 with two spools would be a better option at that price. Keep looking though as I’m sure I saw one pop up on one of the special offers.
Tge reel is good, but the range how to cast is the question? My rod now is not fast, 2-4g jigs are very bad to throw. I have pay in july 25 usd with shipping.

Awesome video!! One of your best I think. Very comprehensive.
Cheers mate. I’m chuffed you think so. Can’t wait to go again but unfortunately the weathers is pants at the minute.

I bought this reel by accident. After I received it I was impressed I use it for 7g and under jigs. I is worth every penny.
Truly amazing for the money. They have put the price up now though.🤣🎣🎣🎣

Cheers Pete. Great to have your input.
Nice video! Thanks for that!
Nice first cast 😎
Thanks for your support. Glad you enjoyed it
Nice looking reel. Looking Forward to a long term review.
Will do a catch up later on. Report how it’s doing

I literally just added this into my aliexpress cart before i went on to RUclips and saw your vid in my feed! Hahaha
It’s a decent reel
This reel popped up in a sale for me in August of 23 for $22 US. Phenomenal deal.
Unbelievable deal. Great real anyway but at that price it’s a steal
Me too. Steep learning curve trying to launch it like a non-bfs reel.😂
This thing looks nice , great review . Subbed
Cheers buddy. It’s a good bit of kit

Great rod. Best all round BFS rod

Glad I could help. I do prefer an FTB system. It just makes the reels less fussy
Mine came with Japanese bearings installed and a baggie with 6 extra Japanese bearings .

That’s a bit of luck. It’s a pretty smooth reel and pretty much faultless for the money

Not sure it will cast up to 30gr. 14 maybe?
@@TheConstantAngler Yup - it's rated for casting weight 3-30g in the spec.
@@londonviking3801 well I never. Guess on the right rod it will do it.
Great video would you recommend for perch fishing not done bfs fishing thanks
Yes it would be great for Perch fishing.
Just ordered one of these to take on holiday . For £30 paired with a £40 rod it doesn’t matter if I loose it which is a real possibility for me on holiday
First!!! 🙌🙌🙌
What would you say is the max weight lure you can throw?
I would say 15gr. It’s not that the reel will not throw higher but it’s whether the shallow spool will take it. You may have to use more end tension to throw heavier lures as the brakes might not cope. It did cope with 12gr though so it will go higher.
Seasir commando vs soloking BMC 100, loại nào tốt hơn, tôi từng chơi qua con commando mọi thứ đều tốt trừ hệ thống phanh từ rất tệ.

I would say the Acura is a better reel. It’s not Saltwater rated whereas the new Acura Pro is.
What's the best budget saltwater bfs reel you would recommend and rod?
It all depends what size fish you are after. @@TheConstantAngler Thanks for responding...how about this reel would it be good for Saltwater...might also look into the Commando also.

Have you spin for mullet before? I have seen lots recently and would love to get one😊they seem big all so
Yes I have done but they are very cagey. Don’t think I have cracked it yet. Just the odd fish. Real Ragworm is better than fake
That gulp sandworm is super popular in Australia in the salt. Some people usong stingers on them.
Works a treat here. I can believe it. Catches everything
I personally prefer that kind of brake dial compared to one on the side you need to grip with your fingertips (like abu)
It is larger than the Aldebaran’s and I can see the numbers clearly.
Tge reel is good, but the range how to cast is the question? My rod now is not fast, 2-4g jigs are very bad to throw. I have pay in july 25 usd with shipping.
@@rosinci it seems ok with 3gr up but is one of the larger BFS reels.
Is this better than the Dark Wolf Ultra?
No definitely not. It’s just a lot cheaper. For me the DWU is still the best budget reel.
Thank you, definitely gonna order DWU now.
what would be the perfect one though, old or new Version? It seems like you're using the old one a lot.
@jpete4001 either are good. I have had both.
😊 thanks
