    bro listen to me, there is one bike that has your name written all over it that ticks all the boxes , yamaha mt10 sp , its literally the perfect bike for the channel and the perfect next progression , it comes with quickshifter , can get genuine yamaha bags for it along with a screen from the touring version ,abs and traction control , awesome crankplane engine , ohlins suspension, brembo brakes lcd screen, the list just goes on, they sold a crap ton of them including all the different versions of the mt10 and the new model is very similar the the outgoing one so its future proof also so there a lot of viewers out there worldwide , it demolishes almost everything and is a great all round bike , not the new model but the previous model , that would be my choice for sure , yamaha mt10 sp for the win

    Tracer is the perfect sports touring bike with yamaha reliability and following. Is not much of an upgrade from a fz6 with bags though. 1000xr is nice but heavier and generally more expensive. GS are tanks on 2 wheels I dont see the appeal there. You dont have to lubricate the chain in exchange for 30lbs? Fz1, fz8, mt9 are just fz6s with more power and slightly better suspension. Mt9 and fz1 are hella fun but personally Im never getting another bike without a wind screen and decent seat(ing position). Sport touring bikes are plenty fast for the street. Ducati I would stay the f away from even if I lived in europe, its a rich mans bike.

  • @jimnotbob
    @jimnotbob Год назад +2

    FZ1 or FZ8 for me, both very underrated bikes, bulletproof engines, loads of aftermarket bits to add if that's what you want to do, they have much better suspension than the FZ6 out of the box. The Tracer has very soft suspension out of the box.I would avoid the Ducati unless you are prepared to spend both time and money if goes wrong. Service costs can be eye watering for any Italian brand.

    I personally think the GSX-S1000GT with the bags and in the Metallic Triton Blue looks mean as hell, I love it. I'd look into grabbing one here in Australia but can't because of License Restrictions while in my first three years of riding. I've heard the suspension setup can be improved upon, but it's a K5 Engine so there's a ton of information regarding working on it.

      Also I completely understand the worry of buying a bike that isn't super popular in your region. I've had so many headaches with my FZ6R lately due to it not being an overly popular motorcycle here in Australia. I commonly need to order parts in from the States which means repair times and prices shoot way up. All in all it can just be frustrating and cause a lot of unnecessary anxiety.

    I would also take a look at the 2016+ Honda VFR 800 Crossrunner.
    Anyways if you plan to do long tours on the highway, you need something with good wind protection.

    Greetings from east Europe!
    While I was looking for a new bike for my self (I downpayed a FZ6 full touring rig btw), I was looking up XJ6- the one that succeeded the FZ6, MT-07 very popular thing in US and Europe, has Tracer version. But for Europe, Honda's & Yamahas seem to be the main lines.
    As a Euro BOI, BMW's arent any cheaper in the EU, just FYI, not just vehicle price but also parts, Ducati even more so. The GS will be far more reliable though probably as much as the FZ6 was for you, but parts might be harder to come by. Then again FortNine owns one, so....

    Hey man, I had the same dilemma last few months. My FZ6S is totally tuned but I need to change it, want to ride to Africa and more off roadish. Without off road I would go for gs1200 rt 2015+. Simply because of the wind protection. Anyway coming back to the selection. I rode the 9 Gt and it is simply the best fit, but with tourer wind screen. The seating position, the handlebars, the engine OMG!! So nimble, simply the best new bike somebody can buy. Go and ride it. Last year I rode the tenere 700 and loved it anyway the tenere raid has a bigger tank and firmer suspension, together with the longer wind screen. I ordered it and hopefully having it in a month. A lot of accessories needed tough, so the price went up to 19500 CHF, without luggage 🤔 but since I will keep it another 15 years, screw the price. Yeah and for the 9GT or even better GT+, give them your old bike and get some good financing, the inflation is your friend.

BMWs are pretty boring dad bikes, not really interesting. The Duc will be a pain to work on yourself, FZ/MT09 is not really a touring bike, so imo it comes down to the Tracer9.
