For some reason, the original version of this video was rendered with certain audio tracks missing, but only in specific time spans. I have no idea what caused this, and re-rendering it seems to have fixed the problem. Kind of ironic, given the subject matter of this video, hm?

A good friend of mine said that he went to the party for the 25th anniversary and I was pretty jealous. Even the if the party itself was a disaster, it must’ve been a pretty hilarious time to be there in person ngl.

Well you know what they say - better late than never! What a treat it is to have another video like this about the stream on RUclips! You have no idea how trippy it is to see some of the content I had in my doc _rehashed_ into this, it's weeeirdddd (in a good way!!!)
Man, that documentary of mine... 4 years old now. It's not the best hahahaha 😂. Maybe that's just 4 years of maturity talking and me cringing now at my older content, though. Don't get me wrong, it _is_ pretty much all correct, but still haha. There's the odd little assertion I make here and there that's a bit like "dude, you just don't have enough info to make that assertion", and a few statements I know now are probably wrong, *especially* now that I've worked in events for real, and have way more hands-on experience with this stuff, but they were all few and minor so it doesn't really matter. I keep it up because it still serves its purpose in a mostly accurate way and idk, I guess it is part of my legacy somewhat hahaha.
I laughed out loud at some of what you said in this video though, it's really good. "At one point the ocean waves decided to drop a bar" 😂. This is definitely a way better presentation overall than mine was, a lot more inclusion of the _content_ of the stream itself, which I don't even know why I shied away from. Anyways, ig I'll add some notes I wish I put on my doc a long time ago
4:57 The cameras (at least, the ones that appear _in_ the livestream, don't worry about the two robotic ones built into the venue for the screens, that's for another time) were the livestream crew's! The 'video feed' I refer to that FOH gave the livestream crew was just the _image_ up on the projector, so they could show that at times. Livestream crew were responsible for their own cameras! Also Hunter was more than just a sound engineer, he was the guy in _charge_ of the whole project..... But that did happen to involve sound engineering so, no real difference I guess haha.
6:39 was due to a copyright claim a few months after my upload hahahahahaha, but the audio *did* stop on and off _a lot_ during Hyper Potions' performance due to, indeed, them messing with things, as you say, so point's still the same. Maybe I'll reupload my stream upload someday, especially since YT reprocessing due to that copyright claim actually worsened the quality, that sucked.
23:25 Oh boy 😅. Yeah, he mentioned legal reasons somewhere in the thread, and indeed, years before I made the doc the whole thing was up and I read it (though regrettably I don't think even I read every little reply back then). Aaron mentions people not taking part for legal reasons at Mania easter egg section, so it seems like there was _something_ lawyers were concerned about overall, but idk, it's a bit weird. What I don't stand by is how I said it was a "sudden" request in the doc, it was a scripted cut away, because Aaron is literally midway through saying that the livestream will be broadcasting "behind-the-scenes" (i.e. T O T I N O ' S) before it goes. But, of course, Skyler not being around and all, didn't work out like that.
29:28 Yeah there was a _separate_ issue with the audio from Sonic Heroes onwards (buzz was fixed before Open Your Heart, but it's during the glitch-out at the start of Sonic Heroes this different low hum begins). I say that glitchy moment was an audio interface change in my doc, but that was _a bit_ baseless and I don't know why on earth such a change would even make that noise, but I knew the mixer output change was at OYH so I extrapolated from what the thread said. I honestly can't really think of _anything_ that would make that specific glitch sound. I don't know _what_ was changed at that point, but it introduced that low hum. As for what the low hum is, it's likely a ground loop, which is, a thing you can read about if you want ig lol
32:48 Yeah, it's just not in the game, pretty sure Taxman himself even clarified years ago. The buzz *was* featured in the game, however, since Hunter was also a developer working on Sonic Mania (a fact I somehow never bring up).
36:10 I will say - absolutely *no* offence to them whatsoever, I do think that there's _some_ things they did in the way this stream was setup that were a bit.... 'Not how a professional AV company would do it' if you wanna call it that. Like how shaky all the camera shots are 'cause there's no tally system so the cameramen can know when they are/aren't live, for example. That's the kind of thing a professional company would always have in-place, it is quite clear that this was Hunter's first time doing something of this nature, stepping into the events world. But that's ok, and indeed it's not really the cause of the real issues, which were indeed "shit happens". When I was younger I never really understood why it took them an hour to fix the buzz if all it took in the end was changing mixer outputs, but over time working in gigs like these I've come to appreciate just how difficult even the smallest things can be in this kind of atmosphere, and I understand it so much more.

I watched Crowbcat's supercut of the stream first and it just made it seem like it was all just incompetence and bad timing and honestly, that's probably how most of the stream's chat felt about it at the time. Now that I know the other side of the story I have nothing but respect for anyone involved behind the scenes trying to make the best out of it.
I had a ticket for this and had to rehome it because I decided to prioritize dental health over a plane ticket....ngl I regret it lol
