The "Bob Ross" of Sax!!! Love the lessons!!!

Awesome Teacher,
Thank You
Really enjoy this type of lesson, don't stop.
Awesome, thanks for letting me know Joe!
Really like
One long note over 4 bars (the fourth) and a couple of simple riffs, leave plenty of space. LESS IS MORE! Job done.
Glad you enjoyed it Derek. I like the simple approach -it's a brilliant way to start.
Hey mate, really cool lesson. Keep on going. Greets from Portugal
Wow! I just can't believe this. A myth has been solved. So beautiful to know that with just a few notes and the right rhythms you could sound like a pro. Thumbs up. Please keep 'em coming.
I'm only 4 days in but your videos have made me progress incredibly fast. Learned how to read music in about 2 days (or 6 hours of practice and memorization). You mentioned you wanted to get people to dance - I was just honking out of the horn but even I was dancing as I was playing... however horrendous my neighbors might think I sound. This is a blast.
Hi brother , I am from Iran, thank you for the Good lessons
Hi, I'm John just bought my very first saxophone, please continue with the tracks, thank you.
I do like the jams. a 20 minute video of just the back and forth jam would be great.
Yes I'm new learner, and it's great.
Love it! Hey, a few more like this and I'll be ready for my first gig. Er, maybe.
Nigel thank you it does make a difference to break it down this way
Great to hear that Richard
Wow, wow....an Ahha moment! A new bar player here. Now I can do some simple improve to mix with my scales, arpeggios etc...

I like it. Good resource to get some idea of basic blues lines.
Cheers Dolph.
I am so grateful for your lessons. Thanks so much.
Really enjoyed that, thanks Nigel👍
Great help for an older blues guy
This video was posted 2 years ago and it is still relevant. I will definitely sign up to get the full package. Thanks a lot
👍I love this!! Especially the way you broke it down to simple basics. I'm a female sax player, (originally classically trained) who never could really improvise on soloing. Thanks to you, now I can!! This is great because:
1). I'm now playing blues, jazz and funk. And..
2). I'm the ONLY girl musician in these bands. Now I can really get creative and hold my own with the "fellows". Please keep these videos coming!
absolutely usefull, to get these basics and start feel confident over the improvisation
I just started playing the saxophone, my wife got it for me for Christmas. These videos help so much, I really enjoy playing alongside you. Helps me alot!
Great to hear that Will. Congrats on your new sax. We have loads more in our member area when you're ready: saxschoolonline.com/courses/
Im really enjoying these jam sax lessons. Thanks .
Brill. Thanks for letting me know.
I've wanted to play sax ever since I was 18 or so... Oh geez, my influences are John Coltrane, Candy Dulfer, Stan Getz ,Richard Elliot, Dave Koz, Jeff Kashiwa, Nelson Rangell... The list goes on and on.
I'm now 52 and I picked up a saxophone at my friend's pawn shop. I figured, why not? So, here I am....
Awesome John. Great influences there. Go for it. And if you want some more inspiration check out my interviews with Nelson Rangell and Candy Dulfer:saxschoolonline.com/articles/candy-dulfer-interview/
Thanks Nigel. An excellent workout for beginners to start jamming and improvising. Really helpful.
I like the taking in turns with riff ideas - could be call and response as well

Great to hear that!
Amazing! It is so much fun! It helps adult beginner players to boost their self esteem (speaking of myself) and it helps kids who are about to quit because they are so bored doing scales. All of the sudden the kid realized that he is capable of playing "real stuff"
Love this!! I am a true blues beginner on flute and this is EXACTLY what I was looking for!! Thank you!! 😘😍❤️

Just a great lesson, Nigel! i'm a beginner tenor player with no musical background who took up saxophone playing four years ago when I retired. Beginning to improvise and this kind of jam is exactly what I need. I will check out your website for more (I'm a member) and will incorporate these kind of mini-jams into my daily practice routine. Thank you again from Toronto...
