Heads up, the DRL sim does not support DJI FPV controllers, not sure if that’s something that was previously available but it’s not supported any longer.
You can use the DJI goggles with the PC/Mac but need an HDMI to AV adaptor which does reduce the quality a lot. Works better with something like Headplay HD goggles via HDMI, or Oculus Quest headset as both digital, though I couldn't seem to get that full screen.
@@alsa1589 Hello, I was having the same problem, but I solved it. First of all, you need to successfully install the controller, drone and glasses. After installing, drl becomes operable. the only problem is trying to enter the simulation without the initial setup.
Hey, I have my FPV relatively new. "Normal" I have already flown something with it. also an Air 2s I have. So this is not the first time I have a drone in my hand. However, I do not really dare to M mode yet. I have now downloaded Liftoff and played with it a bit. After some time I even manage to take off and not land in the next tree. But: How realistic are such simulators really? Flying in real life will surely be completely different, right?
im new to fpv and do you think that with the simulators i could get along with xbox controller with the 3d printed radio controller type joystick thing?
Hey guys, I have the DJI FPV drones and am currently trying out the DRL simulator, but I don't know how to use the FPV setting (left stick below) in the simulator so that it flies like an fpv drone. A little callibration video for the controller would be cool
If you've already physically adjusted your controller to have the left stick stay in the downward position instead of center, jump into the DRL controller interface and bring your throttle "0 setting" down to the left. This will bring your throttle to 50% when your stick is centered and 100% when it's pushed all the way up.
Hello, were you able to get the DJI RC working with Steam? I just bought the Mini 3 and thought I could use the DJI Simulator but apparently not... so now I dont know what sim to use
I’ve just bought my first fpv. Been flying Mavics for a while but fpv footage really interests me, and I love what you can get with it. I’m guna stay in Normal and Sports modes for a decent while. I need to get many hours in on a sim. What alternatives are they that you’d suggest if I don’t have other goggles? I have the Dji controller and Dji Google’s and that is it at the mo. It’s well annoying that the one you recommend will work with the controller but not the headset as I don’t have an alternative. I’ll fly the Dji simulator for a while anyway, but really want to try out those big open spaces you showed in this vid. Cheers
I have a Xiaomi Mi transmitter and drone. the transmitter/controller looks very similar to the dji controller shown here. does anyone know if this could also be possibly used? also this would be a cheaper option over the dji. for those interested in doing this. thx

I flew nitro drones years ago. Used Phoenix to learn to fly and setup the tx. It trains your fingers and mind to understand and automatically react properly. You could add wind in Phoenix. yes true. saying you can buy the remote to fly in the sim before getting the drone is wrong. the controler needs to be updated so you have to conect it to a drone and after that you can use it in the sim
