      ​​​@@Zimzimhk Most Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi homes have chickpea flour cos we make pakoras and a yoghurt curry. That is 3 yes THREE countries with a combined population of 1.75 billion people.

    As an American who grew up in the state with the highest population of Middle Eastern peoples in America I have had a fondness for falafel since my teens. Your recipe looks amazing. I gave the video a like. I especially liked your slaw recipe.

    In Brazil we have a dish called "Acarajé" which is a fried bean stuffed with shrimp. Its based off the african akara, and nigerian kosai, it came to Brazil during the slavery period

      Homely is a nice way of saying ugly. If something is homely then you keep it at home and out of the sight of others.
      That is not how I'd describe Nadiya's cooking.

    This is great! I love falafel but I've become allergic to chickpeas. I'll have to try different flour though

      Helen Hardman try instead white northern beans and may be use mix of almond and regular flour.

      @@kinocchio probably the wrong term, more of a sensitivity, but even a small amount of chickpea gives me rampant diarrhoea. Never used to.

      Helen Hardman if you’re using canned chickpeas, the liquid it comes with might be the issue. Maybe rinse the chickpeas thoroughly and see if it helps.

      @@kinocchio no, it's now even anything with chick pea flour. Had a poppadom the other day and forgot they have it. Ten mins later, tell-tale grumblings and then the runs. I love Indian and middle-eastern food but just have to avoid the chick peas these days. Lentils seem fine.

    I tried this recipe with a small change:
    Roll the falafel balls in breadcrumbs, and deep fry instead of baking. Perfect!

    Naidya you are perfect,I done this once and do it again put more cumin and when I sliced cabbage I mixed with salt 30 minutes before
    Idea for this burger is out of this world

      If you have flaxseed meal, mix a TBSP of ground flaxseed meal with 3 TBS water, thicken in fridge for about 15-30 min. This will replace one egg as a binder.

    Looks tasty. I’d use flaxseed instead of egg, and vegan dairy free mayonnaise for an Animal product free version.

      If you're an American the recipes probably don't make sense because your baked beans are a completely different thing with the same name. American baked beans are sweet, there's brown sugar in the sauce, and the sauce is much thicker, british baked beans are beans in a more vegetable-y tomato based sauce

      Cheese on toast with baked beans is a good combo.we also like baked beans with the traditional English fry up, pies and pasties, jacket potatoes etc etc. It also works well with macaroni cheese...

    AssalamuAlaykum sister Nadia.. not sure if you know but the frylight oil spray contains alcohol.... I released after using it... Btw I love your method of cooking mashallah... Keep the good work up Sister

      It contains alcohol which instantly evaporates in the oven. When it's cooked, you are not consuming alcohol. Do your research before you start attacking people.

    Skip the eggs if u can't have them,the chickpea flour is already enough to bind the bakebean falafel..and another way to cook them is to dust the falafel and panfry them,easy peasy :)

      Egg is more of a binder, it isn’t there for any flavour reasons, so I would say yes 👍 hope that helps

    My dear if you make kebab instead if ball and spray the non stick pan on medium low you can have same result with same amount of oil but with less time .Do try 😁.I am happy that we both make sauce in same manner . I just dont add maynose some times . Green chilies +lemon juice +tomatoes and salt blend together. Add mint or parsley some times.
