Nadiya is so knowledge, authentic, and delightful in front of the camera that it's definitely time for her to replace PH or Prue on the GBBO. She would add so much class to this show, and so many more would connect to her.
Oh my !! Thank you RUclips for recommending this!! I had never heard of Nadiya until today... and now I can’t have enough of her! Her food looks delicious!
Alan Cotton it’s not healthy. The paneer was store bought and choked with unhealthy fat, which she then fried. The tortilla was also store bought and processed. Not to mention nobody in India, Pakistan or Bangladesh would ever use a store bought tortilla of all things when you can make a healthy roti at home in minutes.
Now she is an example of a brilliant and successful British Muslim woman. Wears her hijab, follows her faith and has integrated within British society wonderfully. Plus she makes EXCELLENT food. She should be a role model for all aspiring Muslim girls who just want to pursue whatever they want but are hampered at home.
Ismat Shaikh Statistics state this. Muslims (especially girls) from Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities are hampered in general due to restrictions placed on them. In contrast, may I add, that Indians and Chinese Brits excel in almost every strata of British society. Nadia however, is an exception and should be celebrated even more. She’s a legend.
@@sportsmusiclover i disagree with you to an extent..i do agree that there are some certain social factors that prevent british Bangladeshi and Pakistanis to reach their full potential but this is more cultural i believe but a recent report has indicated that majority of muslim women in the uk face increasing prejudice in job employment opportunities and i have encountered this with my own eyes.do you know studies have come out stating that majority of muslim women attain degrees for university but still find it challenging to get jobs due to their faith ?....this is because due to so much islamaphobia that takes place and instutional racism..Pakistani and Bangladeshis men and wome are also 7times likely to be denied bank loans too compared to indians..british indians are more favoured in the uk,more likely to vote conservatives compared to Bangladeshi and pakistani muslims..even though our ethnicity is south asian like indians...but i feel things are changing and dramatically..my sisters are pharmacist and nurse but our government needs to work with us to stop this workplace racial discrimination..etc ....my muslim forefathers from bengal originally fought in the second world war for this country with my uncle sacrificing his life so our government needs to stop demonising muslims..and look at the statistics due to covid 19..majority muslim nurses have died working for the NHS..we are one nation so we must uplift one another for the prosperity and success of our nation regardless of ethnic backgrounds though a conversation is essential about race and employment
Nadiya is definately someone to watch beautiful presents and excellent cooking skills i was looking for vegetarian receipes for my hubby and found this one brilliant the spinach and hulumi cheese wrap absolutely delicous he loved it.
Just tried making these (with haloumi) after seeing Nadiya cook them, on Saturday Kitchen last week, and they are absolutely delicious. I highly recommend giving them a go!
I have never thought of soaking tortilla in egg. Then I saw a comment about using this for a French toast-esque breakfast. I am so doing both of these ideas.
Absolutely, it will taste great with tandoori chicken & some sliced pickled onions and fresh tomatoes. what she made isn’t authentic either, it’s more like Kathi Roll inspired burrito.. not a Kathi Roll.
just made the recipe, might put a little less chilli flake in, as hubby couldn't feel the roof of his mouth!! I'm going to make more eggy bread in future using tortillas...gorgeous!!
Everything you make and I did make lots of your recipes, is so simple and delicious 😋 I was looking for something interesting to eat , I'm going to give this one a try now.. 😆 Thank you!
Cottage cheese also known as paneer you can make at home boil milk add one lemon juice then milk and whey separate then you strain that water and hang remaining milky chunks in cheese cloth for 4 to 5 hours no water in it it's fresh home made paneer is ready
if you cannot find paneer, then it is dead simple to make! Lots of recipes out there and does not take anything exotic! I do a large batch (using about a gallon of milk) three times a year. it freezes very well.
I love your outfit so colorful. Don't get me wrong 😀.......I Also love your spinach n paneer. Looks delicious. But I cant seem to find paneer in Jakarta, btw. Any replacement?
Halloumi is an equivalent as it won't melt and hold it's shape and absorb sauces. If there are other cheeses you know that can do that , those could be replacements
Skip the egg, simply toast the tortillas. Splutter the cumin and chilli flakes before you add the garlic. Blanch the spinach & purée it. You can marinate the paneer in some yoghurt & curry powder before frying too.
Yes & I wouldn't do that again lol! The wrap went super soggy when reheated in a microwave..may a low heat grill would do the job better? I make the filling in advance now, just not the tortilla bit
You can make the filing in advance and have the roti/wrap also made in advance and have them stored separately. The egging can't be done in advance, as once the wrap goes cold it loses crispness and might also become chewy/soggy. Then again you can skip the eggs and egging altogether. A slight change in flavour if you don't mind.
Have made so many things she cooks and everything is superb. Absolutely love her, and so happy to see her on the BBC.

Made it just now with halloumi, what an absolute treat. We loved it. Not only healthy but delicious!
healthy? Halloumi with 40% of fat content, tortilla fried in oil, ... this is clearly delicious but not healthy at all by any means.
Flour tortilla is not healthy if you are insulin resistant . But it is a treat !

Whoaaa buddy... where did you get that idea from...? Before you comment like that, do some research please. 😑

@@sportsmusiclover This is such an outdated view of what a British Muslim woman is.

That tip she gave for the tortilla and the eggs, I can see tweaking that just a bit and you have a French toast wrap for breakfast. 😋
antmagor you’re on to something there 👌🏻
Yes! And Kenny Shopsin (of Shopsins in NYC) used to do that to tortillas to use them as crepes.)

Awesome 👏🏼 her voice is soothing
Kathi rolls is very famous street food in India.....Yess it's an Indian dish😁😁
So happy nd glad that you all liked it....
Kathi role was invented in Kolkata, India. Traditionally prepared with laccha paratha, a type of layered paratha
like your recipe and kitchen🌼you are beautiful.🌺🌻🌷

I like the idea of tortilla dipped in an eggy wash and then shallow fried.
Love the way you talk about food. You make it so interesting and so easy. Thank you Nadiya.❤

I loved it so much! Will definitely try it.

Quisiera tener todos sus recetas eres la mejor para mi
I can't WAIT to try this, omg, my new favourite channel and videos to watch!!!! I LOVE this! 😍💖😊
You should blanch the spinach to get a better texture and a smooth gravy into the rolls.
good tip, think that will make blending with the water easier, thanks!
looks delicious! learned what paneer is from this video
Look delicious.😋
I made these and they were great
I LOVE THIS WOMAN
looks so yum! cant wait to try it😍
I am addicted to ur channel ❤
I love watching you cook but can you do some vegan recipes please
You can just make it with Tofu and skip the egg. I would add some bacon myself.
It’s almost midnight, I wish the Asian marker is open so I can score some paneer and cook this treat.
You can make it home just boil some milk, add lemon juice or vinegar, collect and drain the curds and compress with a heavy weight for few hours.
Make paneer with Milk and lemon Juice or vinegar Many tutorials on youtube.
You can get paneer at any Asda, Tesco or Sainsbury and some are even 24hrs
I am so excited to try this recipe out.... Thank you.
What do you season it with ?
Looks yummy, panner and spinach my favorit
Looks Yummy. Paneer and spinach is my favourite!
Good cooks
Looks amazing, could I try this with chicken (maybe I'd add tandoori masala or similar) instead of cheese?
I'm thinking of doing a chicken and cheese combo, see how it turns out
Absolutely, it will taste great with tandoori chicken & some sliced pickled onions and fresh tomatoes. what she made isn’t authentic either, it’s more like Kathi Roll inspired burrito.. not a Kathi Roll.
nadiya where did you buy that jumper ? i want one!
Which spinach we can use
Merci pour les bonnes recettes vos vidéos sont formidables pourriez-vous sous-titré en français merci
I enjoyed this recipe. It was delicious!
Thanks to Nadiya
just made the recipe, might put a little less chilli flake in, as hubby couldn't feel the roof of his mouth!! I'm going to make more eggy bread in future using tortillas...gorgeous!!
Great recipe, looks yummy but I want to know where your gorgeous jumper is from?! It's stunning 🤩
I'd add a chutney and some pickled onions to it. You need that crunch and kick of acid
Any trick to freeze them?
OH. MY. THAT. LOOKS. AMAZING!
This recipe is brilliant. Thanks for sharing with us. My kids loved it
Looks fabulous.

Ooh wow ♥♥♥yumm !! Thanks nadiya★
Great
I put green chilli paste (from shop bought jar) then red chilli flakes.
Good 👍
I cannot find paneer or halloumi cheese. Can I use mozzarella as a substitute? Or do you have a recipe to make my own paneer?
Cottage cheese also known as paneer you can make at home boil milk add one lemon juice then milk and whey separate then you strain that water and hang remaining milky chunks in cheese cloth for 4 to 5 hours no water in it it's fresh home made paneer is ready

I live in Belgium, and I have no idea what 'paneer' is ...🙈 Could I use Feta cheese as an alternative ?
Paneer is an Indian cheese. I'm sure you could easily find it in Belgium. Feta cheese could work out well, though, I'm sure.
cottage cheese
Halloumi is an equivalent as it won't melt and hold it's shape and absorb sauces. If there are other cheeses you know that can do that , those could be replacements
Definitely try halloumi. If you do, lay off the salt as halloumi is very salty.
A healthy treat Nad
U make good snacky food. :)
I need to try this!
This just made me so hungry
yummmm
Man English accent is so nice to hear
Any idea if this would work with gluten free tortillas?
Yes
@@Jasmineflower124 Thanks!
😋 yummy
Seems like the camera crew is the same as Ramsay’s
you are seriously gorgeous
Mine came out soggy and bland 😫 will try it again with halloumi
Indeed the recipe is bland! should hv blanched the spinach n pureed without water. sm green chillies n garlic would hv made it so much more better.
Skip the egg, simply toast the tortillas. Splutter the cumin and chilli flakes before you add the garlic. Blanch the spinach & purée it. You can marinate the paneer in some yoghurt & curry powder before frying too.
You can also make an omlette with all the ingredients. Just fry the paneer before you beat it into the eggs. Wrap it in a torilla when it's done.
Why is it I get sad when her video ends lol. Her videos are so quick I don’t get closure lol
Yum!!!
Absolutely delicious
😋😋😋😋😋
Por favor en español
Whats paneer?
Cottage cheese
Its kathi roll..
Hi New subscriber
omg 😍😍
Has anybody made these in advance and heated them up??
Yes & I wouldn't do that again lol! The wrap went super soggy when reheated in a microwave..may a low heat grill would do the job better? I make the filling in advance now, just not the tortilla bit

I just watched Nadiya making ham and cheese French toast. She enjoyed eating ham and cheese toasties. I hope she knows where the ham comes from.
I like her ideas but every recipe is just extremely fattening. I wish she would do some healthier food too.
