PREVIEW: 25th Shinnyo Lantern Floating Hawaii Ceremony

  • There are lots of people out on the beach enjoying the good weather and the three-day weekend but around this time on Memorial Day, Ala Moana Beach Park will have thousands of lanterns illuminating the water with messages remembering loved ones we lost. Tens of thousands of people will fill the beach to watch this annual tradition. Alina Lee gives us a preview.

    What happens to the lanterns when pau? Goin to just leave them?

      The lanterns are collected and recycled for next year
