    Thank you SO MUCH for this video - I purchased this a while back for a few of my film cameras and I've just let it sit because I couldn't find a video on how to use it w/o burning through a ton of film testing it out.

    I think there are 3 words that people don't understand properly. They are professional, amateur, and commercial. A professional is an approach and way of dealing with people. Commercial photographers get paid for their photography. An amateur takes photographs of what they love or for the love of photography..
    The quality of the image is independent of any of these. I've met many commercial photographers that take terrible meaningless photos. I've also met lots of amateurs that take great images.

    What a cool video! Loved the vintage intro!!! 👏🏻 Very informative and a really neat flash for any vintage camera, or retro style camera like a FujiX100 or XE4...
    One thing worries me though: since the flash can only be charged in the flash is the battery by any chance replaceable? Usually those batteries last 2-3 years and have to replaced. What is Godox saying about this? Thanks 🙏🏻

      Appreciate it! It is pretty neat with its retro design! Definitely understand your concern in regard to the battery. I’m not to sure with the warranty they offer, sorry I can’t help you with that one. But they do have their Lux Junior which runs off of AA batteries, still a cool design, definitely can be a contender. I’d consider these a fun flash to have for casual use, definitely if you’re going to be using a flash in a heavier capacity I’d look into their V1 Pro or something in the TT series, better suited for bulk work.

    Thank you for the detailed walkthrough!
    I tried following but my flash is not firing 😢 I’ve tried both auto and manual mode on my hot shoe. The recycle light was continuously on green so I know it was fully charged and ready to go.
    How do I troubleshoot the issue? (Using x100vi)

      Hi Jana, it can definitely help out with that. So with the Fuji you need to actually need to change 2 settings in the menu. 1st go to the flash menu and turn off “Built In Flash” that will disable the cameras built in flash. The 2nd setting is under “Flash Function Settings” and make sure the sync terminal setting is set to “M”. Once that’s done you should be able to use any external flash. Also feel free to dm me on instagram if you have any other questions or need more help, i’ll do my best to help out!

    Hi Ishkhan,
    First of all thank you for the great review. I am actually inbetween choosing the Godox Lux Cadet and Senior. What are the use cases for both flashes? I am trying to identify which one could suit better for my needs. Is the cadet also good enough for group portrait of maximum five people or for wedding shootings? Or would you suggest to go with the Lux Senior for these use cases?
    Thank you in advance.

      @ishkhanghazarian  4 месяца назад +1

      hi friend, I think if those are your options the Lux Senior might be better suited for group photos as it has a larger reflector dish so you'll get a larger spread of light. That being said you'll also be getting a softer light source with he senior, not sure how direct of a flash look your looking for. I can definitely make a followup video comparing both models for you.

      @@ishkhanghazarian Many thanks man. I am a Fujifilm photographer and love the vintage high-key look or the low shutter-speed flash portraits. But you are right, buying the Lux Senior probably makes more sense. However it would be nice to see a comparison video.

    CAN IT BE CONNECTED WITH GODOX X2T?

    • @ishkhanghazarian
      @ishkhanghazarian  3 месяца назад +1

      it does not have any wireless functionality, but it does have a slave mode, so It can be triggered by a separate flash. However you can add a external receiver and connect the flash to it via hot shoe or pc-sync

    I think this flash is a bit silly on an any camera which has TTL, I'd rather buy a old film TTL flash. But if you have a camera that's lacking TTL it looks a great option that you can use with modern digital cameras.
