Howard Ashman's message just makes the film so much more prolific! My only thing with LeFou is whether he was chosen as Disney will never feature him in anything again after this film, their stand against Malaysia gives me lots of hope but I had to make a video about it as I really do question whether Disney now class the animated character as gay also or if it is just purely the live action version so that they don't have to spend any time on it again. I guess I'm this dubious as Disney are very clever in that in choosing characters that either don't appear in the parks or have merchandise so that the characters can be easily hidden...I wish I wasn't this cynical but I always try and remind myself that Disney is also a business and I guess they have to cover their backs even if it's a bit sad for the LGBT+ community. x
