I love interviews where Rob is comfortable, & feels like he can be himself to talk. He has built an amazing career for himself. His future is so damn bright. Congratulations, Rob! I am extremely proud of the path you're on.
I just love how complimentary Jamie Bell is without making Robert Pattinson feel awkward. Also love how RP responds honestly, he seems very much like a normal guy, no sense of pretentiousness at all. Love him!
They do something similar in the Hollywood reporter except it's multiple directors/actors/actresses/animators/cinematographers etc. They call the series "round tables"
Tarintino and Nolan Scroscese and Spike Lee Safdie Brothers and Russo Brothers(optional but why not) Kevin Smith and Zack Snyder(both geeks so it could really be interesting and with the snyder cut coming would be super interesting to hear more on the process Kevin has also done films so they can explore each others genres) James Cameron and Matt Reeves Etc
lalalovenickie Copyright royalties. Carrie Fisher said she had to send George Lucas a cheque for $2 every time she looked in a mirror because Lucasfilm had the rights to her image.
His publicist makes interviewers sign a contract that they can’t mention Twilight because it takes away from the current promotion. Even though they’re friends here and he probably wouldn’t bring it up out of courtesy, the production had to sign one. Major talks shows and Howard Stern wouldn’t sign one for obvious reasons. It was probably Rob’s idea to create this contract 😂
Jamie Bell is amazing in all his work. In my opinion, he's super underrated. Such an exceptional actor who is not afraid to take a back seat to a so called lead if the character brings something substantial to a film. He gets better with each project he chooses and does.
100%. the one with jennifer was weird imo. They weren't on the same "wavelength". She didn't really seem all that willing or interested in actually listening to him whereas Jamie at least reciprocated Rob's interest in him and his answers.
Inspiring to hear these two talk. Listening to Robert say "he has no life" outside of acting is beautiful. Commited actors, careful with their craft and always moving forward with passion and integrity. Incredible incentives.
I love watching these conversations, especially with Robert. He's so down to earth and intellegent, it's just so enjoyable to watch him and other actors (like Jamie and Jlo) share their thoughts and feelings on each others' experiences as actors and beyond.
I love how comfortable they both are with each other. This interview is very good. I’ve never seen Rob so laid back and really comfortable like he is here I love it.
I like the direction Robert decided to take his career in. He's a very talented actor and I don't believe that his acting comes to its full potential when there is proper "blockbuster" hype and pressure that comes along with it. Know of Jamie by name, but haven't seen a lot of his work yet. That'll change :)
EJ386 Nicholas Nickleby! What should be an unplayable role in our day & age (literally a Dickensian orphan), Jamie apparently had the filmmakers in tears during his audition. And he is truly heartbreaking in the film, he doesn't shy away from his character's tragedy nor humanity. He and Charlie Hunnam are wonderful together. But I'm biased, 1 of my favourite movies. All star cast, colourful production, great dialogue & humour. Where else can you see Nathan Lane & Dame Edna as married theatrical empresarios ("The pony drank!")? Or Charlie Hunnam playing Romeo? In green tights?! EVIL Christopher Plummer!
I grew up with these 2 brilliant actors, Jamie in Billy Elliot and Robert in the potter/twilight films. Very proud of what they've accomplished since then and hope they get more good work. Thanks for this Variety!
This must be the most precise example on how two people with opposite personalities, brought together by a shared passion. Loved hearing the conversation👍
Tom Holland should play younger version of a Jamie Bell character or he and Tom Holland should play younger and older versions Of a real person in a biopic
This was wonderful. They have things in common but are also different in ways that make this conversation so very interesting and involved. Thank you for this gem.
It was recommended that I watch this, because I love Actor Roundtables but cannot STAND Galloway. And boy I’m glad I did. This is incredibly refreshing, wonderful flow & fantastic, genuine conversation. Jamie & Robert are both so underrated. LOVE THIS!!! 🙌🏻💗
These are two young men who've got so much talent it's astonishing. I don't know if it's a British thing, but we tend not to take ourselves so seriously, that's why I believe so many British actors who don't stress like their American counterparts, bring such humanity to their respective parts. Pattinson and Bell had fun doing this interview, and it was intelligent dialogue all the way through, it just wasn't forced, that's why this was a fantastic pairing. *Billy Elliot* Far out..Awesome :)
This is such a wholesome interview! It's nice to see this segment when the actors actually know each other, they look really comfortable together, the humors are genuine. Jamie has an eloquent way of speaking. They're both really down to earth. I also love how they never mentioned Twilight by its name and only mentioning it as "franchise" "doing sequels" "commercial success" hahahah
Great insight added by Mr. Pattinson on the preparation psychologically regarding costumes (what one wears) and environment. Thank you for sharing. Would be an interesting study to see to which degree it impacts performance and stress.
It's obviously changed to a northern English \stage acting\North of turtle Island(the first Nations call the land that they cared deeply about that name ,then Europeans came!!!!!! and called it USA ) accent, a northern English accent wouldn't have the other changes
Is it bad that I always remember Jamie Bell as Griffin from Jumper? Anyways, he should be a bigger star than he is. He’s usually the best part of every movie he’s in. Hell, he was great as The Thing in the Fantastic Four movie that was god-awful.
Robert trying to help you.You open up and that’s how you help Robert?I don’t feel that one or another is more important in this conversation. So nice job,Good for you.All best.Nice attitude and press times -Gentle 🌿
Jamie Bell has never really had that iconic role that defined his career, aside from Billy Elliot. If Fant4stic was good then he could have been eternally remembered as The Thing.

ROBS FAN yeah me too but yeah I think it helps when the interviewer is your own friend too. A good friend at that
ftwi1 Batman
I just love how complimentary Jamie Bell is without making Robert Pattinson feel awkward. Also love how RP responds honestly, he seems very much like a normal guy, no sense of pretentiousness at all. Love him!
jamie bell is a criminally underrated actor
James 225 not as much as Ben foster
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻you are so right. He's so amazing
PREACH.
there's quite a few amazing under rated actors these two here top the list for sure..
Way too much sex appeal in one room
A series like this with directors would be interesting.
Call it Directors on Directors
Kinography 1994 Read the news: it's Producers on Actresses.
They do something similar in the Hollywood reporter except it's multiple directors/actors/actresses/animators/cinematographers etc. They call the series "round tables"
I was just thinking about that.
There’s a podcast, the directors cut
Tarintino and Nolan
Scroscese and Spike Lee
Safdie Brothers and Russo Brothers(optional but why not)
Kevin Smith and Zack Snyder(both geeks so it could really be interesting and with the snyder cut coming would be super interesting to hear more on the process Kevin has also done films so they can explore each others genres)
James Cameron and Matt Reeves
Etc
I love how they don’t want to mention the name Twilight, just describing it as commercial success etc lol
lalalovenickie Copyright royalties. Carrie Fisher said she had to send George Lucas a cheque for $2 every time she looked in a mirror because Lucasfilm had the rights to her image.
lalalovenickie I thought I was the only one noticing that lol
@@UNOwen-eh8er no fucking way that’s insane

Rob is always so humble.
Cor two hunky talents in one room. You spoil me variety
Jamie Bell and Tom Holland could play brothers in a movie.
I know that this comment was a year a go, but it's fun reading it after watching The Devil All The Time 😂
They both played Billy Elliott.. Jamie in the film and Tom in the West End
They’re identical
Jamie Bell is amazing in all his work. In my opinion, he's super underrated. Such an exceptional actor who is not afraid to take a back seat to a so called lead if the character brings something substantial to a film. He gets better with each project he chooses and does.
HE DOES HE DOES
I watched retreat last night. He was awesome. But he blew me away in skin. Never seen him before that
Films Stars Don't Die In Liverpool broke my heart. The entire cast was so good.
Absolutely
RP seems like he is anything but “ordinary”, but he does also seem utterly unpretentious and unaffected, down-to-earth, and real. So charming♥️♥️♥️
I prefer this interview over the one with Jennifer and Robert idk
100%. the one with jennifer was weird imo. They weren't on the same "wavelength". She didn't really seem all that willing or interested in actually listening to him whereas Jamie at least reciprocated Rob's interest in him and his answers.
Agreed. Because J Lo isnt an actress LOL she was one of those musicians who got into acting purely cause she was famous. Like Justin Timberlake lol
You’re not the only one sis, she only wanted to talk about herself and she kept cutting in when Rob was talking 🙄
I like JLO but she was talking about herself so much and I wanted to hear Rob more.
gurl. no. Yep, all about her🤷🏻♀️
Inspiring to hear these two talk. Listening to Robert say "he has no life" outside of acting is beautiful. Commited actors, careful with their craft and always moving forward with passion and integrity. Incredible incentives.
"...you're inevitably going to confront a cold gust of emptiness." my god--so beautifully said, and what a metaphor for life vs. expectations.
I wish more people could see how Robert is when a huge audience isn’t around!
He’s not as nervous
It's more because they're friends. Even in the Actors on Actors with J-Lo he's just nervous and making jokes to ease it. It's good when he's comfy.
Yep, still massively crushing on him after all these years.
Athena P. I thought it was just me 😍😍
Me too! 😍
He was the blueprint 😍 I’ll never downgrade on my crushes
I like the direction Robert decided to take his career in. Know of Jamie by name, but haven't seen a lot of his work yet. That'll change :)
In that case start by watching Billy Elliot
EJ386 Nicholas Nickleby! What should be an unplayable role in our day & age (literally a Dickensian orphan), Jamie apparently had the filmmakers in tears during his audition. And he is truly heartbreaking in the film, he doesn't shy away from his character's tragedy nor humanity. He and Charlie Hunnam are wonderful together. But I'm biased, 1 of my favourite movies. Billy Elliot.

Same here! I’m just now seeing this and it made me so happy to see to actors that I grew up watching and adore
This must be the most precise example on how two people with opposite personalities, brought together by a shared passion.
Loved hearing the conversation👍
Robert laughing makes me happy
It is impossible not to smile
It's nice to see these guys just chatting away and being so chilled and normal. Interesting conversation. Thank you.
Robert Pattinson truly delivered in Good Time... I love them both anyways. Best of luck to them!
Tom Holland looks so much like Jamie, I've been saying that since The Impossible (2012).
I can't be the only one.
In the Chumscrubber i was shocked by how mush they truly do look alike
Must explain why I saw Tom as Billy Elliot in the performace that I saw in London.
Tom Holland should play younger version of a Jamie Bell character or he and Tom Holland should play younger and older versions Of a real person in a biopic
THEY’RE THE SAME PERSON
I agree. It's around the mouth and their height. I suppose they have the same intensity about them.
Are they the top too achieving Billy's.
Rob sitting cross-legged on the chair is too cute!
I've been waiting for this one for so long! Good Time was the best film of 2017 imo, Robert Pattinson was incredible
Hell yea he did and I own it
I adore how thoughtful Rob is about his character.
I’m loving this interview! Two intelligent gents engaging in a laidback, great conversation. I need them to be in a movie together someday!♥️
Who here thinks Robert Pattinson would make an interesting James Bond ?
JoeTrebor More like Batman now.
I think Jamie bell would be a good bond come to think of it
Well Robert is officially in the list of potential actors for the role of James Bond now 😉
After seeing Tenet that was my immediate thought
me!
Robert Pattinson is sooooo talented and awesome ❤ ❤ ❤
One smart sensitive chap, Robert. Good conversation between them both
having seen them both, i still think _good time_ captures the immediacy of a race against time better than _uncut gems_
I love the former and despise the latter.
As another 1986 baby, its fabulous to hear people my age doing well.
Rob is always humble, I love him
Jamie is soo eloquent.
I know! So inspiring
two really underrated interesting actors, this was really pleasant so watch
Still crushin on Rob since twilight ❤
Trina Chaney Twilight was shut and Robert hates it
I love how relaxed was Robert in this interview. Jamie Bell is so interesting and nice. Great, great conversation!!!
Id love to see a rom-com with Rob. He's so funny and cute. I think he'd be great.
This was wonderful. They have things in common but are also different in ways that make this conversation so very interesting and involved. Thank you for this gem.
The crush I have on Robert just keeps growing and growing ♥️☺️
Me too...
Two amazingly talented actors in 1 room.
He makes a great point about choosing/wearing costumes for characters
Jay Tops Olivier said he created characters from the outside in.
I miss Stephen Galloway

Soulja and
They’re both so real and sweet.
these two in one room, be still my heart:)

Really hoping Good Time doesn't get left on the bleachers during Oscar season -- it more than deserves multiple nominations in multiple categories.
Great insight added by Mr. Pattinson on the preparation psychologically regarding costumes (what one wears) and environment. Thank you for sharing. Would be an interesting study to see to which degree it impacts performance and stress.
Robert being genuinely a bolt of happiness. The guy doesn't know how to be sad, it seems.
I didn't know Connie hadn't seen his brother in years. I thought they both lived with their grandmother and mother. I'm glad he clarified that.
I think Connie just got out of Prison.
jamie bell is underrated as an actor
I'm calling it right now....10 years time one of these 2 will be James Bond
Or Batman 😉
James Bond is an overrated role. Nothing can top Sean Connery.
Close...Batman
I love, that he mantioned Claire Denis! Her films are extraoridnary. I'm really looking forward to watching a collaboration between those two.
He’s gonna be an awesome Batman/Bruce Wayne
I love them both God Bless them and Keep them Amen❤
Jamie Bell's accent is fascinating.
"Favourite movie of the yer"
"I've always enjoyed ecting."
I must find out where it from.
Billingham. Its a small town in the north east of England close to Middlesbrough.
It's obviously changed to a northern English \stage acting\North of turtle Island(the first Nations call the land that they cared deeply about that name ,then Europeans came!!!!!! and called it USA ) accent, a northern English accent wouldn't have the other changes
I still remember the first time I watched jamie bell acting was from "wake me up when september ends mv"... I knew it he is talented af
Jamie is such an amazing actor! I love evertyghing he has done!
Rob should have been nominated for Good Time.
Creative, talented and very intelligent...
really enjoyed this! great pair :D
"Actors on actors" with those two, I won't even mention what I've pictured...
Can't be much racier than all the porn-with-plot scenarios I imagined
Cute. Naughty but cute
They are both amazing actors
"Right right right right right right right right right right right right" -Jamie Bell
Need more of these two
Robert will be a good Batman, his looks are that of enigma .
I respect Rob to the point as an artist/actor that I am interested in the work of actors and directors that he genuinely reveres.
Jamie Bell was great playing Abraham Woodhull in the Turn: Washington Spies series.
I ashamed of myself that I just discovered this video. I thought it was just the one with Jennifer. These two are perfect 😍
Love you Robert😍😍😍😍
Robert Pattinson is in his safe space here & is so normal. Since Jamie an English friend of his gives confidence to him to be him.
Thank you, lovely interview.
Here after the movie skin. Loved his performance. Great actor.
This was really candid.
Thank you by my hearts!
Did anyone realize?? I found out that Rob always drink on interviews... 😂 thats really cute! And i like the way he puts his mug on his sofa... 😊
Both such intelligent men.
I’m team Edward and team Pattinson all the way
Robert my crush 🥰
Robert needs to do a movie based on a Chuck Palahniuk's book! And Jamie should be in it too.
Yo, Rob's sneakers are awesome! any sneakerheads on here that can tell me what they are?! Love these guys, excellent british actors!
I love them both! Thanks
They never say Twilight once.
Parade Parade they did talk about it but didn’t mention by name
Iconic duo
I'm gonna eat my shoe the day I watch a Robert Pattinson video where not a single person comments on Twilight...
Is it bad that I always remember Jamie Bell as Griffin from Jumper? Anyways, he should be a bigger star than he is. He’s usually the best part of every movie he’s in. Hell, he was great as The Thing in the Fantastic Four movie that was god-awful.
Oh my god i cannot handle this one. Thank you so much variety !
I loved Billy Elliot.So awesome.
I love you rob forever I'm one of your biggest fans
i dont think ive ever seen an actor more tortured to talk than Rob Pattinson.
Robert is my favorite actor
oh mi Edward cullen junto a mi Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot) adorables
Good Time was so fucking good tho, I gained a lot more respect for Robert as an actor. Easily one of my favorite films of 2017.
Is no one going to talk about the fact that her name is Barbra Broccoli?!
GoToHellHermen hahahahahahahahahaaah oh you get me!!
GoToHellHermen Broccoli produce the Bond films - old news is no news.
I guess adults are watching this so...
It's probably anglicised from another language
The difference between this and the jlo one is stark. Artists talking a similar language. Love it
Robert trying to help you.You open up and that’s how you help Robert?I don’t feel that one or another is more important in this conversation. So nice job,Good for you.All best.Nice attitude and press times -Gentle 🌿
"You'll learn to hate me. But still call me baby oh lord. Call me by my name."
Jamie Bell has never really had that iconic role that defined his career, aside from Billy Elliot. If Fant4stic was good then he could have been eternally remembered as The Thing.
Is anyone going to talk about how Billy Elliott blew ass at 5:02
I’m sure it was the chair lol 😂
