The film On the Silver Globe has crazy design, some people call it the closest existing film we have to Jodorowsky's Dune. I like the idea of the futuristic clashing with the primitive, spiritual and mystical as if we've ended up transcending so far ahead that we've actually recursed back and inwards.
I would arguably even say it somewhat started with the metropolis film in the 1920s or 1930s. The Thierry Mugler robot suit always reminded me of that and it’s also one of my favorite works of his!

Btw I know it's more mainstream nowadays but i think Stone Island with their innovative materials and CP Company with their iconic goggles could be other examples of "sci-fi fashion". Despite the hype surrounding these brands, they truly showcase reaaally cool materials / textures and futuristic looks in general and are a bit overlooked in the "real" fashion scene ... I go "alien mode" all the time with the cp's goggles, cool af

I honestly was a little disappointed with the costume design in Dune. It was too safe for my taste it should have been more colorful and flamboyant for the Athreides it’s 100% on theme for the Harkonen though.

One brand that is also worth mentioning is personsoul, it's another Chinese brand that is like hamcus that takes inspiration from dune and I think its worth checking it out. It's newest collection is a mix of Sci fi and street wear elements so it's suitable to a wide audience :>
