Being a Pakistani trained doctor and currently working in UK NHS I highly recommend middle class students and parents to prepare for MBBS admissions in government medical colleges .It is highly rewarding profession in terms of respect and money as well. No profession is easy these days and job pressure is there. I am happy with being a doctor and ready to guide Pakistani doctors how they can come to UK for further specialist education. After MBBS aim for USA UK Ireland and Australia and earn specialization. You can return back to Pakistan with better skills. Choosing specialty is very important. Some specializations are not very stressful like dermatology opthalmology and rheumatology. This profession is wonderful and I am grateful for my parents who supported me to achieve my goal of becoming a doctor and serve mankind. She mentioned an example of severely injured patient and beating of doctor. This is not related to MBBS it's cultural ignorance and can happen at every other place in Pakistan. I believe in Pakistan there is great need to update training standards. I salute Pakistani medical students for their hard work and dedication. Continue with this and you will get rewarded.

as a medic student, i am afraid of my future now, by reading comments its becoming more horrible. i would highly appreciate to make a video on alternate solutions fot that?
I remember my father was admitted to Jinnah Hospital at that time there was a strike of nurses the doctors wanted to drain my father's blood for report but they could not extract the blood, instead they wasted the blood and the whole bed was filled with blood . This is the skills of our doctor specially female doctor
Even if you go abroad you'll definitely see such a scene because doctors only diagnose and prescribe the treatment. It is acted upon by nurses. They are not used to withdrawing blood and giving injections. Doctors themselves say that. Got nothing to do with being male or female.
Because our public thinks like you, that's why I think my decision to leave Pakistan was correct. I am now a neurologist in England. You know, taking blood (venepuncture) is a blind procedure. Some patients have very thin veins or veins which are very deep. And when a patient is in circulatory shock due to acute illness, the veins are collapsed. Therefore, it is not uncommon to struggle to get blood. The difference is that when I struggle to get blood from a British patient, he/she says to me: "I am so very sorry, my veins are very thin, I do not bleed easily. So very sorry". Everyone in UK knows that if he/she went to emergency department, it will take five to six hours for him/her to be seen. And they wait six or seven hours to be seen by a doctor and still say: Thank you very much. I am a doctor working in one of the best hospitals in London (a leading neurosciences centre in the whole world) but my wife (who is also a doctor) had to wait about thirteen hours in the emergency department to be seen (even though she was having uncontrolled vomiting and headache). This is because here patients are triaged according to whether they are critical or not. So if you are not critical, then sorry sir, you have to wait (doesn't matter if you have fever or headache or whatever symptom). I'll ask you a question: Honestly tell me, would you have the patience to wait thirteen hours in emergency department to be seen? And here in England, you cannot enter a hospital unless you have a critical emergency or you have been referred by your GP (family doctor). This is why we doctors have to see about ten to eleven patients in a twelve-hour shift here in UK. In Pakistan, we had to see hundreds of patients in six hours.
I am a Software Engineer. But i can tell you that life is really really easy. You will definitely get job after BSSE. Some even got job during their bachelor program. And can also pursue MSSE with you job. Fortunately i start learn coding in matriculation from my elder brother so i got my first fulltime-job in my college 1st-year.
Only Doctors can relate every inch of pain they have gone through. I am consultant now & still memory of that phase of hard work look like nightmare. Worst is when patient wants us to treat them for free as well‼️ called masiha but masiha doesnt mean we serve for free too😞😞😞

Govt as well as the people should act mature and understand the needs of a Dr , if you want your patient to be treated well we doctors expect the same from the govt and the patients guardians or attenders. Fields like bioinformatics, biotechnology, or even other healthcare-related professions might offer fulfilling alternatives while still allowing you to contribute to the medical field in different ways. Computer + bio : both skills are required in future.

@@sareenfatima6114 exactly
In Pakistan, we had to see hundreds of patients in six hours.
i as an outsider think doctors are in the joy but this is unbelievable what she is saying . looks very truthful

This system is ruining our health!

Need advice to feel better
I desperately wanted to be doctor and i could only and only afford DOW, have been a topper all school years but BOARD exams mai i got only 79% and the below average students of class got 85%. I couldn't be in DOW or SMC my family at that point could not afford private. It was 10 years ago and iam still not over it, i still cant believe iam not a Doctor. iam persuing professional psychology now but a void is left in me!
Can you tell me how many years does physiology takes?
Psychology IS LITERALLY MY DREAM but bcus of parents pressure I HAVE to do mbbs but im out of Pakistan and have been raised here as well so idk much about mbbs in Pakistan.
you are a psychologist and may help people in better way and may provide better services in your field.people do mbbs then specialty ,but still dont feel satisfied .

@@Saqi_medico see if ur family wanted to make u a doctor then there are so many fields u can do pharm D u can do BS in nursing but just think dear!! U have wasted three years on just mdcat and its ur fourth attempt Inshallah if u will clear the exam this year then u have to study 5 year mbbs then one year house job. Then 4 year specialization now calculate it totally u have to give 10 years of ur life to this field and after that again u will face difficulty in finding a job it's so painful!!
@@Saqi_medico same bro same
You are 100% right👍
She is really intelligent and beautiful doctor..talking on serious issues in Pakistan, medical professionals facing...such a talented doctor
..
Thankyou for speaking the truth .
Govt as well as the people should act mature and understand the needs of a Dr , if you want your patient to be treated well we doctors expect the same from the govt and the patients guardians or attenders. A Dr always tries his/her best to save a life as per the situation , if theres no possibilty well then accept it and move on instead of blaming a Dr or assaulting him for something which is out of his hands
I completely agree with her! I am a doctor too and I can't relate more with everything she's saying. My sincere advice to anyone who is considering pursuing it as a career, please don't do it. It's a huge investment of your money, your time, your comfort, your hard work, your abilities and what not and STILL you will be under paid and you'll be underappreciated. There's nothing positive that I can highlight here about this profession after being a part of it for six years.
@@ArishahJaved-tz2ij so what you suggest to opt
So what other options are there.
Imma send this to my Dad asap
Yes our parents don't understand this but judging us 😭😭
Madam, but there is dark side of every profession. There are challenges in every profession even doing business. If it is easy then it is not good. If it not good, it is not an end.
Dr Arooba It,s a Sad state of affairs .i hade a bad view of few doctors how they treted patients but now i can understand what is the background of what happened
