    I loved this video! I was diagnosed with low AMH after a pregnancy loss at 34. Two years later, got pregnant again and miscarried at 8 weeks. My ob/gyn could not give me answers as to why this happened again and recommended IVF. However, my intuition said I needed to find more answers. Found a specialist who checked my blood and found really low iron stores and high wbc. So I believe that my body was trying to protect me and most importantly the two babies that I lost. On the road to recovery and it feels good!

      Wel like he said, it has be an individual plan because we’re all different and have different needs. My doctor ran a lot of tests and found my FSH was 6 and my LH was 1.9, my vitamin D was low, my iron was low, my DHEAS was extremely high, and my AMH was 0.52, I’m only 32.
      So I supplemented with vitamin D, iron, CoQ10, ginseng (for the stress), a prenatal vitamin, zinc, and lipoic acid. I read the book It Starts With The Egg and made some lifestyle changes that she recommends: I switched out my plastic waterbottle for glass, switched my plastic strainer for metal, and tried to get more healthy fats into my diet. I still need to eat better but I’m trying to do less dairy and carbs and more protein and vegetables. And I also was exercising snd riding my bike. The main thing that I feel helped me was doing acupuncture. You have to really commit, I did it twice a week during my period and follicular phase and then once a week after ovulation. I also took the Chinese herbs she recommended to support my body in between sessions. Once I started the herbs that’s when I really started to feel better. I really hope you can fix your levels too, my acupuncturist said she hasn’t had anyone that’s responded wuite as well as me but it’s still possible. My fertility clinic said they always recommend those things to their patients with low AMH but she’s never actually seen someone raise it like me :)

    Saw my ob/gyn because I’m 40 and trying to conceive now for about 6-7 months. She said all my hormones are good fsh is good but what concerns her is my amh level, it’s at .15, that it’s low and Ivf wouldn’t even work with me if I wanted it (which I don’t). I have 3 children all full term .now ages 20,17, and 11. No history of miscarriages or complications other than my last child I had low fluid while pregnant towards the end. I have been taking prenatal, vitamin D, raspberry leaf, nettle leaf, milk thistle and probiotic. I just started coq10 and larginine. The father Of my 3 children was murdered 5 years ago so I’m going to assume the extreme stress of the grief has something to do with my levels lowering as well. I was losing hair like crazy then too. Great videos. Thank you. 🙏🏼 I was getting a little down about the “low Amh” but you’ve helped 🙏🏼🙂

    Been following your channel and this video was really needed! 🙏🏻I received back AMH results yesterday and in 4 years it has dropped from 1,6 to 0,53. I just turned 38 years old. Exactly like you mention in your video I was dreading to take the test after 2 years of a severe stressful life situation. On the same day as taking the blood test I also had an ultrasound which showed 11 AFC. (AMH and AFC was done on cycle day 12). 4 years ago when my AMH was 1,6 the AFC was 12 follicles which gave me hope that the AMH would not have dropped so much. (I have regular 28 days cycle.) What are your findings with contradicting AMH and AFC results? My blood tests also showed very low iron and vitamin D deficiency. I am hoping that getting that in order will boost my AMH level. Do you think that could have possibly affected the AMH level?

    • @MarcSklarTheFertilityExpert
      @MarcSklarTheFertilityExpert  2 года назад +1

      That just shows you how inaccurate AMH testing is. I trust your AFC more. I also think that your AMH results may be different if they were tested on CD 2, 3 or 4.

    Mine went from 1.8pmol to 5pmol in 2 weeks and a nurse said it’s because I’m close to menopause. I am 28. My periods are fine, same cycle length as before since teens, more spotting than I used to have, shorter actual period, last 3 days of period now replaced with spotting but period itself is heavier. I have no idea how I can close to menopause with no other symptoms. I get SO sick before my periods have if I have no immune system, but I read that this isn’t a symptom.

    Hi Dr. Sklar!
    After following the advice on your videos and a few books I decided to change my lifestyle and add supplements and my AMH has gone from 0.61 to 1.12 in less than 6 months. FSH went down from 13.9 to 9.6. My husband was diagnosed with OATS and high DNA fragmentation. He has also changed his lifestyle and added daily supplements for over 4 months now but we have not re-test his sperm yet. We don't have any other issues, tubes are open.
    We tried Clomid, got pregnant and had a miscarriage, then we tried IVF and it was unsuccessful (3 cycles, 5 eggs retrieved in total, 4 fertilized but none got to day 5). Do you think that now that my numbers have gone up we can have different outcome?
