Key Bridge couldnt be raised or widened, and shipping channel was already maxxed-out. the ORG named CONSPIRA has a 40 part series looking deeply into all aspects

If the National coffers have to cover the cost of replacing the bridge then the legislation should also close the loophole that the insurance companies are trying to use to limit their liability.

That big claw was used to dismantle the RORO car carrier that flipped near the Georgia port a few years ago.

I’m still trying to figure out why is our government( the taxpayers) responsible for the cost of this bridge???

It was part of the federal interstate highway system.

Poor answer. If I was somehow negligent and destroyed part of our interstate. I and my insurance company will be held responsible. No government bailout for someone's negligence. Right is right.

Not the most important thing right now. This closure is doing many millions of dollars a day in economic damage. The most important thing now is to get it open ASAP. Those responsible can always be sued afterward. But it would be real dumb wait a year or two for those sued to pay up before starting work.

I thought these were professional savage companies doing the cleanup with all the cranes and barges. It is starting too look like a retirement project going on. If you are a professional you are suppose too know what you are doing !!!!!!!!

I don't agree with the US taxpayers footing the bill for a bridge that benefits the City of Baltimore and Maryland.
Let the insurance pay for it or the state.

Hopefully that will be the case, but we won’t know until after a protracted court case. No one wants to be the one without a chair when the music stops.

Why is the taxpayer having to cover the cost of a new bridge? Shouldnt the insurance company for the MV Dali cover the cost?

A reminder to the judge to seal all room's on the Dali cargo ship with steel over old steel there. An to seal by welding in place. Then pump all water out of all rooms an look for leaks. If so seal them tuff bad tite..."P/N/M."

They lost a bridge because of the owner of Turbify wanted to play games and got a warning not to do that. They will get him next time they are not done looking for him.
