I've been playing since it was really early on in early access and it's genuinely one of my most played games now - it (along with No Man's Sky and Islanders) has become my go-to game for after work when I just want something to chill, de-stress, and turn off my brain
I have about 100 hours in this game since buying it in early access, and pretty much agree - it's a lovely way to spend a little time every now and again. I keep coming back to refine my strategy and aim for a better high score.
I bought it last year because it was super cheap in early access and I keep coming back to it, slowly collecting hours. As it is such a relaxing game, and an easy pick when you are uncertain what you want to play, especially if you just want to play something as a break for 30mins to an hour. Great game and I love it
Relaxing with challenges = I'm hooked. I've been playing this for months and I've yet to run out of challenges, either those set by the game or by my self.
This looks really nice! Very chilled out and satisfying. Thanks for the heads-up! I'll probably buy it, though ive been going a bit nuts buying lots of shmups on my steam wishlist recently. Suppose it will be a chill break from those 😛
Also, from my experience (155h played in Early Access) it is - quite suprisingly - very fun game to play in pair, as spotting and remembering favourable placements becomes easier, and interesting discussions may arise concerning tradeoffs mentioned in the review (goal completion vs perfect placements), as well as more advanced topics looking into possible future placements (it comes with more experience with the game to see such things, and if you like perfecting yourself in such way, the game does not become stale in any way mentioned in the review). Highest praise from me :)
Okay but what if someone made this, except with a bunch of tiles you have to unlock through a tech tree which also gives you ways of altering or adding to already placed tiles?
Just heard of this yesterday from a post on Reddit. Sharing this with others in my household as I think they would like this more than me. Thanks for the review; I’m really enjoying your 3MRs, Elise!
Am I the only one who thought the fields were walkways or paving stones at first? When I heard someone call them fields I thought “Oh, duh. Why would walkways be half the height of the houses”.
This seems to give off the vibe of a more colorful and interactive version of solitaire... I might need to give it a shot. I've been looking for a nice relaxing game to play in my off time. *Edit* After playing this game.... I can't recommend it.
how about looking up how to pronounce the name of the game online? or actually explaining the concept, after you butchered the name like 12 times in the video. :)
You are being unneccessarily negative. She explained the concept very well. For a native english speaker, the pronounciation was absolutely acceptable.

This looks like it would be a perfect game on your phone or tablet

Steam Deck Baby!
@@AdamHoooot it's on switch too, I think this would be the best game to chill with switch lite.
@@ricxx5324I usually play it before I sleep. It is extremely relaxing
Best game for audiobook listening, extremely chill
I've been playing it as a chill game - very soothing and, even at the end game, not frustrating.
Perfect for chilling out

it's like cascadia meets carcassonne in a way, looks great
Been digging this game. Great for when you want to switch off, listen to a podcast or album, and just zone out of the world.

"Carcassonne Hex Solitaire"
Here, I beat your 3 minutes with 3 words :-)
Bought it today, so chill and addictive to play

Oooo, this looks right up my alley! Thank you for letting me know about it

Do any of the tiles have animals on them?
love the concept... but this feels like it belongs as a mobile game. Gonna wait 'till it drops on the phone market. Then, is an instant buy
Yeah, it's like a real life puzzle but you get to choose how to complete it. I bet people that like puzzles will love this
OMG!! It's Dorf Kiyoshi of Japanese Metal Band Dorfromantik!! Sugoi.

I definitely thought that when watching this review.
it looks like Carcassone, love it
Could see myself getting a lot of mileage out of this when I get my steam deck.

Seems pretty interesting this was a good review!
This looks nice and relaxing.
ordinarily a game like this wouldn't interest me but I feel like I should try this at least once
Dorf on Zen.
This review is too critical in my opinion. I think exploring new biomes and game modes and achievements can lead to rewarding replay ability
Good game to play drunk after a party to calm you down for bed.
Switch release maybe?
Yes.
I thought this game was out for years? MATN has done many vids of him playing it with his partner.
Just went 1.0
Bought it after the first time he did a video about it. Awesomely chilled game
Carcassonne?
I hope it eventually comes to xbox...
For 13€ish it's a bless

Oh come on, it's not that bad, I say as a German who understands the game's origin.

This looks like an amazing game if it would have progression and challenges.
