How can an evangelist preach the news about Jesus Christ and not mentioned that is sacrifice on the cross paid for our sins so that we wouldn't be condemned to hell. How can an evangelist preach repentance without explaining the consequence of sin. The power of the cross is this message of Grace. That we deserve hell and judgement but Jesus has rescued us by his death and Resurrection. If Jesus was an evangelist and he preached about hell. And told others to repent then why wouldn't we preach the gospel in the same way? What are we saved from?
We are saved from the wrath of God because of His Righteousness. This is not His judgement but His nature which demands a verdict. This is the good news that even though while we where dead in our trespasses at tje rifht time Christ chose to give His all foe us because He is also a loving God whom took upin Himself the penitly if sin so we could be reconciled to God and have right standing due to His substitutionary atonement. This is the gospel
Probably the better question would be, what (or Whom) are we saved to?
We were created in Christ Jesus unto good works....God's preordained works, that we should walk in them.
We were preordained, to be conformed to the image of God's Son.
We were chosen in Christ to have right relationship with God.
God always purposed that Mankind's fellowship with the Father of Creation would be restored.
By the by, Hell was prepared for the devil and his angels, NOT for Man.😊
