PS: as a European, living in North America I chuckled when you said 112000km was “not much”. Folks here, pretty much, view all cars with 150K Kim’s as scrap, it always puzzled me, since elsewhere cars ran into 500K Kim’s and beyond, before they really were scrapped.

Hi Wouter & Casper. Can you guys please do one on the Suzuki Kizashi 2.4L with 6 speed manual? I'm debating a 2010 - 2013 Kizashi 2.4 Manual ( I can't do CVT) versus a 2014 Mazda 3 2.5 Auto. I've driven both cars and they both have their pros and cons, but would be interested in hearing your take.

« People are saying "ohh it's ticking bomb, ohh it got a lot of problems" when in reality its pretty realiable engine, like a lot of diesel engines turbo, injectors, egr, dpf, is common issues and its not a big of a deal, turbo and injectors can be restored, you dont need new oem ones, dpf and egr in my opinion should be deleted, then you bypass that mysterious coolant leakes cuz of blanked of egr, and you dont suffer from cloged dpf and turbo problems, you pass all mot inspections co2 tests and evrything without them, swirl flaps are not a problem but you can delete them to.
The biggest thing is the timing chain in my country it does cost 1200€ with the labour and parts. So i have this engine (audi a6 c6 3.0tdi v6 quattro automatic) and i love this car, before i had m57 bmw, same thing that can occur turbo injectors ect... So dont be scared of a good engine, ofc if u want to go on a cheap side just pick 1.9tdi and thats fine. »

Heb er 1 gehad. Geen goede auto.Veel defecten zelfs de ledjes in het derde remlicht gingen kapot ongelooflijk. V10 motor is helemaal een leegloper turbo problemen enz.

My 2005 Touareg has been incredibly reliable. Over 12 years, the only things that ever crapped out were a bearing in the driveshaft and the struts that hold the rear hatch up. Still looks and runs nicer than most cars half its age.
However, my buddy's 2003 Honda Accord is a different story. Pretty much the only thing that hadn't broken down was the engine. I always had to drive him to and from the mechanic in my "unreliable" Touareg.

The Touareg is so reliable I just bought another. So now I have two. A 2004 v8 version with 230000km and a 2016 v6 tdi. Couldn't be happier with these vehicles 😃
