You can, but I'd argue unless you have like, 100 engrams I'd rather just grind activities or wait until we can focus them. Doing it this method, means you have a 1 out of 8 chance to get the weapon you want alone, and in that 1/8 chance you also have a 1/4 chance to get a red border of that weapon.
@@ScumbagSteve that's fine if you want to be fast, I was just letting you know that efficiency wise opening them normally is better since you'll get 7.69 sidearms per 100 engrams vs 6.25 when focusing. you also get more glimmer which can be nice
You can also get them from just doing the single engram at her main screen. It adds the armor ofc but honestly better than the 2 it costs per try overall.
I decrypted 50 engrams this way, on a character without the armor unlocked so only got weapons. Got 3 red border pulses and 0 red border side arms while I only needed 1 more…. Feels bad man

So a 1/32 chance lol I’m waiting
I got 3 red border sidearms while doing like 7 activities. Then got last 2 in this clip from 16 engrams.
it's more efficient to open the engrams without focusing
Yup you double your chances but do have to put up with some gear
Idk, personally, I rather just spend the 2 engram and know I'm getting a weapon. I got 2 red borders in this clip.

Knowing my luck, I'll get all class items 💀
Open the engrams on a character that doesn’t have the armor unlocked to guarantee weapon drops every engram.
Do people not know this? Been a thing forever. Still better to just open without focusing tho
Are you a new light or sum
Naw bruh. There were people on Reddit asking so I made a vid.
